  • Ultralisks.... one part unstoppable force.... one part immovable object

  • they should have let other smaller units move underneath them. That way they would have served a perfect role of tank. and zerglins and banes would be alot more deadlier with couple of ultra on the field.

  • @yemack I agree... SC2 just needs to improve PATHING. Let zerglings move under ultras... as for "Smaller units" (hydra/roach/etc)... they should just be PUSHED ASIDE.

    SC2 should have a "mass system" where big units can just push aside lighter units! After all, thats what you'd expect, from real life. I've never seen an elephant trapped behind a bunch of pigeons...

  • @noobenstein That would also help protoss, cos fucking zealots always get stuck behind stalkers, cos zealots are slower and yet are also melee units. If units can "push past" other units, then those zealots wouldn't spend the entire battle running in circles behind some stalkers that are being wiped out by marauders.

  • @noobenstein doesnt full work like that, zlots are smaller than stalkers, so even if they do get stuck its not as bad as ultralisks getting stuck behind zerglings...

  • i don't like th burrow concept, they should make them charge or at least make that borrow a little slower with trailing dust trail graphics behind em...to make it look more realistic

  • this is a very crude-graphic concept that Blizzard has animated for us. Notice how the marines just sorta jump in the air? They will surely polish that for the actual release.

    They were thinking purely gameplay...

    So this end result is pretty weird.

    Maybe a cooldown spell would be better, an equivalent to the zealot charge.

  • @izdaBARE *sigh* You don't understand. You see, in 1998 when Starcraft came out... and all of the patches that followed Blizzard looked at the ultralisk and saw that it could not get through its fellow units and was slow compared to the other zerg melee unit, the Zergling. Now they saw this and said "This isn't right. We need an ability for the Ultra to allow it to some how evade units and get to the enemy." After 13 years, they got an idea.... burrow charge.
