  • what's with the calling out the plate number, you think cops will watch this and mail him a cite? maybe some of your imaginary biker nerd friends track him down and beat him up for you?

this is a funny clip for all the wrong reasons.

  • Your an asshole, the guy in the Truck clearly had his indicator on way before you got to him and he slowly began to edge over. I'm a biker myself in London and lane split all the time, but you've got the cheek to ride up his ass and blast your horn - you make me Mad, go pickup a copy of the common sense book asshole!

  • Hey if your turning and it's clear then by all means change lanes. But if there's someone clearly coming from behind and it doesn't look like you'll change lanes safely don't.

  • I am a biker. The biker in this video is an IDIOT and in the wrong in more ways than one. He is coming from behind and the truck has his blinker on. The biker OBVIOUSLY saw the indicator and decides (on his own) that the trucker is in error when in fact it was/is the biker abusing the benefit of lane splitting...or trying to

  • I ride and filter every day, this is actually one of the good guys - indicated, then manouvered, no sudden lane change as we often see. You had plenty of time to brake, let him through, and carry on happily. Even if it's illegal... traffic is packed, I would cut him some slack...he probably saw the gap and thought it would be easier to merge than further ahead...

  • I would ram this fool with my Ram!!

  • @Madogen but then it is hard to tell what speed you are going in a video.

  • I'm sorry. But to me it seemed like you could see that truck turning from the start. He should have just waited, probably would have been past sooner.

  • More important than checking his mirrors is shoulder checking.

  • u have 2 have ur fukin 4 way flashers on? ...and u have to be stupid enough to say the plate...yeh cause your really gunna turn him in for changing lanes but u can drive between cars .. asshole

  • Getting his plate wont do you a damn this except make you look stupid in front of the police. I think lane splitting should be legal, however, I also think lane splitting should also be treated as "at your own risk" and you do NOT have the right of way while lane splitting. Simply put, do not speed, and observe the cars ahead if you. If theres room for a car to move over, pay attention to that car!! Make sure hes not moving over!!! If his blinker is on, DO NOT PROCEED

  • @SaGalv it is illegal were im from....but cops look the other way if you go cautiously...this guy way an idiot..he did not have the right to honk, or take his plate down

  • @Nascarrr48 It is where Im at too, thats why I never do it. Though i never find the need to anyway as most of my riding takes place after work and it seems the only time i ever hit any sort of traffic is when im going to work in the morning and due to my job I drive my truck in for that.

  • haha wtf? you dumb biker guy driving illegally and then use your horn to stop someone from changing lanes how he is supposed to?

  • lol idiot posted this video cuz he was mad. gets more fire than sympathy..

  • I ride, been on bikes since 1982, splitting lanes is one of the stupidest things a rider can do!!I dont care if its legal, its wrong and you are living on borrowed time!

  • The biker is such a nerd.

  • @hwyone hahahaha the biker is a nerdy fag

  • I feel like if you werent lane splitting this never would have happened...

  • @Ndizzyinthehizzy i feel like your an idiot

  • this biker is a douche

  • he had his signal on way ahead of yer ass. duh

  • the guy riding the bike is a fucking moron

  • Calling out the plate number does what???? Learn to swurve!!!!

  • your not allowed to split on that line though so you were in the wrong also.

  • @TheScrewable Ive split that lane with a moto cop behind me, think its fine esp along the 405.

OP, you need a louder exhaust....

  • @Esoteric44 Maybe the cop was going home and could give two shits whether you were doing something wrong or not or maybe you were doing it when it was starting to get dark and the motorcycle cop was not allowed to pull you over. you are only allowed to split the two lanes on the right except the HOV lane. they tell you this in the motorcycle course you are required to take when you get a M1.

  • @Esoteric44 why would he need a louder exhaust? Loud pipes don't save lives if that was what you were referring to. They actually put you life in more danger than ever before. If you are splitting lanes legally or illegally and you pass somebody that gets scarred easily you might scare them and cause them to swerve into you.

  • @TheScrewable I don't buy that for a second. Sure if you're doing high speed lanesplitting then obviously a louder exhaust won't help much, but if you happen to be passing through someone's blind spot and they don't look before they merge then it helps if they can hear your bike. And scaring someone into swerving into you? That's just not going to happen...

  • To all those complaining about the truck doing an illegal lane change 50ft from the point in which he could've done it legally, i say fuck off. Cause i highly doubt you've all followed every single rule of the road, and i'm sure you've taken little short cuts too. And that biker is an ass. A little honk to the driver to make him aware of your presence would've sufficed. Laying on the horn like a bitch and reading out the plate to the world just makes you a douchebag.

  • you're lucky that guy didn't get out and beat your ass

  • well this guy's a fucking idiot

  • ur one of those assholes that lay on the horn instead of slowing down, fuckin moron.

  • lane splitting is legal in CA. Crossing a solid double yellow AND solid white line is not. Nor is doing an unsafe lane change without checking to make sure it is clear. Fuck that truck.

  • License 7U59060

  • ur so dumb not even allowed to split on yellow lines i would of taged u

  • I love all the comments on this guy's video. Someday I hope these motorists will see the light that lane splitting is NOT illegal here in CA. and cutting off a bike can cause a serious sometimes fatal accidents. Bikes overheat in traffic that's why it's allowed. The law started in the 60-70's when the majority of the bikes on the road were air cooled. No airflow=seized engine. Get over the fact we go around you and share the road!

  • @Northropfam I think the concern is that many bikers don't do it safely or are tearing ass down the road while doing it. Just because it is legal doesn't necessarily make it the right thing to do all the time.

  • @ilangsfs I get that. It's a double edged sword. I split lanes but I don't do it recklessly. Some of the comments I see on videos like this make me sick though. Plenty of cagers making death threats pretty much or hoping someone gets hurt. Pretty sad .

  • @Northropfam Werd. I ride in IL, where lanesplitting is definitely not legal, let alone much else... Ride safe.

  • @ilangsfs Not sure why, maybe you have no traffic jams? In CA., an air cooled V-twin would probably seize in LA traffic if you couldn't lane split. It's really not that unsafe if the cagers look before changing lanes. I haven't had any issues but I always look ahead and I'm scanning for the soccer mom's on their cell phones. I did see a guy on a 636 get smacked by a cager a couple cars ahead of mine last summer. He wasn't hurt too bad (I actually moved his bike off the road) cars fault

  • @Northropfam Traffic jam? Nah, man. I live in a town of 2000. Nearest biggest city is 130,000. I work in a city of about 75K. No real traffic here. Only bike friendly law we have here is the Gov. just signed a red light law for bikers. We can now run red lights after waiting a "reasonable" amount of time.

  • @ilangsfs Must be nice :)

  • If you dont know dont talk, in cali its illegal to cross double yellow lines. Its legal to lane split and its not like the biker was speeding. Look at the mirrors and ur blind spot right be4 changing lanes cos all u gona do is fuck us up.

  • @TBSxKO If you don't talk you don't learn.

  • I always love to block out a bike

  • @ylen13 Hope you got lots of replacement side mirrors. I know plenty of guys that love to kick them off a cager that likes to play games in traffic.

  • No clue why he got so mad when he was clearly at fault. The guy had been signaling and you were the one who was lane splitting. Its not like you were in a lane and he cut you off.

  • The truck did nothing wrong, he simply didn't see the bike coming in the middle of traffic he was even cool about it and gave the biker a chance to proceed and the biker decides to be an ass instead and read off his plates like the truck did something wrong even though it didn't and his own video proves it. I hate people who overreact on the highway because those are the people who cause the most accidents...

  • @EagleTalons1

Nah mate, in CA you can't cross double yellow, truck was breaking the law.

  • @thayr Thats not my point, my point is the guy on the bike wasn't speeding and the truck at least got back over after seeing the bike to let him go around but instead the bike gets behind the truck as if telling him o.k. proceed with the lane change while I stay behind you and read your plates like a douche bag and make you think everything is o.k.. Looking at the red light saber above others probably would agree with me on this...

  • @EagleTalons1

So you're point is the biker is a douche, okay fine. The truck is a bigger douche, at least the biker didn't break the law. I don't think the truck ever saw the bike until dude laid on his horn.

  • @thayr He probly saw the bike before he heard him but who cares, people need to stop acting like their innocent when it comes to getting out of the car pool lane too early, more aften then not its the ones who bitch about people like the guy in the truck when they are no better...

  • Lane splitting should be illegal, it's just asking for a crash.

  • WAAA WAAA WAAAAAAAAA

  • What if the guy just got out and shot him. biker is a used douchebag bet his bitch ass snitched 2 the cops 2. he even sounds lik a lil bitch

  • This rider is a PUSSY and a FAGGOT.

That driver was up a lil further than you think and had his blinker and was already getting over...

Your a POS asshole faggot for laying on ur horn and being a faggot.. You had plenty of time to stop and react.. ITs not like he pulled over in front of you.. You dick head

    Yes, im a sportbiker myself.

  • @LightningMAS The driver of the truck was attempting to cross a double yellow line set up... meaning the lane change would have been illegal. Lane splitting is technically legal in California.. Heres something for you buddy... Just remember that YOU ARE a PUSSY and a FAGGOT if someone does an illegal lane change right in front of you. K? Thanks. Bye!

  • @LightningMAS P.S. If you watched the video, the guy just had to wait 5 more seconds driving to exit the lane legally. That shows lack of much needed patience while driving.

  • @LightningMAS You are a fucking idiot. The truck was crossing a double yellow line early and should have waited until it was legal to change lanes, which was only about a couple of meters up. The biker was right for capturing this and stating the license plate number because even though the biker honked and the truck pulled back to the left, he decided to still merge pass the double yellow line.

  • You don't have to be a bitch about it...

You're lane splitting, its dangerous, people don't pay attention, you're hard to see, these factors will not change. Asshat...

  • ur a douche that guy was indicating for a long time. give him the damn road.

  • @whyshywank Give him the road when the truck can not legally leave the HOV lane?? Notice the DOUBLE SOLID? Learn your rules of the road before you comment sir.

  • You had plenty of time to react to that truck. You should have made adjustments to your riding behaviour taking into account the lower light levels and the common fact that people switch lanes all the time. You are responsible to ride more defensivley, after all you are going to come off worse in the end if you don't.

  • Lane splitting by motorcycles is permissible but must be done in a safe and prudent manner."

You say it happens all the time there.. So lane splitting in thet area is ................ Dangerous.. Yeeeesss good boy... So that means you can not split lanes there in a safe manner... So you shouldnt...

Hope it was not to complicated for you...

  • @dipstick3031

    Riiight!

  • LOL! DANGERS???? you must not live here! that was a GREAT DAY! you are an idiot!

  • Don't see the problem. Guy was indicating.. should've given him the road.

  • @DaToNyOyO Indicating doesn't mean shit when he's about to cross double double yellow.

  • @DaToNyOyO in CA you can never cross the double yellow that's agents the law

  • @DaToNyOyO ITS A NO CHANGE LANE PART OF THE ROAD!!!!

  • @DaToNyOyO No, idiot. When turning you should check your mirrors, he would in fact have seen the biker and waited for him to pass. When the biker beeped, the truck driver shit himself and pulled back over.. Pretty much meaning he was unaware that the biker was there.

  • @DaToNyOyO thats not the point. here in cali you cant just exit the carpool lane the way he did, signal or not

  • @DaToNyOyO The problem was the guy shouldnt have been illegally turning over the lane splitter.

  • @DaToNyOyO did you not see the double yellow lines the truck crossed over...? which is over a $500 dollar fine in California

  • @TheXtremistOFY It's a truck. It's indicating. If the tosser wants to cross the double yellow lines then he will; that's his responsibility.

If you're on the bike and you can see that this is (so plainly) going to happen then you need to not be a dick and not put yourself next to the idiot in the truck.

  • @DaToNyOyO haha right id love to here that explained to a cop

  • @DaToNyOyO You can't cross the double yellow...For any reason!

  • truck is not allowed to change lanes with the carpool lines, pretend its a concrete island

cant cross islands either, well unless its a monster truck

  • Plenty of room for you to go around! I wouldn't piss off car drivers and then hang out behind them! Id flip you off and tell you to pass! I lane split way faster by the way!

  • it that was me in the truck i would have gotten in front of you and slammed on my breaks your a fucking jackass he clearly had the right away

  • lol at all the cagers (car drivers) learn how to drive, u cant cross the double line, guess if it was an accident who do you would be at fault? yeah the car because traffic is going less than 35mph it is legal for the bike to lane share, the reason why you drive a bike is because you dont have to wait on traffic, so deal with it :D

  • I dont think you had the right to honk at that guy, but still your a badass

  • wait in traffic like everyone else you fucking bitch

  • or you could be patient just like everybody else....

  • It's crazy how many Californians don't know their own traffic laws. Don'T you need to make a test to get a license there?

The motorcycle rider was in the right.

  • Man i would have ran over your wanna be cop ass. Reading off the license plate like you gonna do something. Stupid ass...

  • Comment removed

  • Why the fuck is he honking his week ass horn at the truck when he, (the motor cycle rider) is the one breaking the law?

  • @syncronisity1 Because he's not breaking the law. California traffic laws allow motorcyclists to lane split. However it IS illegal to change lanes over a double yellow line when in a HOV lane. So basically... you're wrong on every single count in your comment.

  • Haha you read off his plate like it was his fault! Haha

Are you not the one passing people that have to Wait like everyone else?

Rules are same for you fool.

Bikes have there perks like that u can pass, but it has it's flaws like u will lose compare to a car..

  • I agree he was breaking the law but what about you driving with your high beams on and emergency flashers on?

  • idiot and arent those double lines?!?!!? he shouldnt be crossing over those....

  • dude calm down with the horn its so annoying!.. u could just have brake a little(since motocycle can stop on a dime!) and let him pass u had SO MUCH time to anticipate...to me U are the bad driver!

  • @StKetoiL motorcycles have a harder time stopping than cars do... get your facts straight... if either one of our wheels lock up, we can end up sliding on pavement...

  • @allieplaysmusic shut up its obvious that a motorcycle can stop much faster than a car! If u know how to drive it u should know that u have to brake with both front and rear brake...anyway at this speed and with the time he had to react it was easy to slow it down....

  • @StKetoiL Look, it depends on the rider... for the average rider, I would always say no unless they have a background in racing. Emergency braking with a bike is a skill most riders never practice. Takes practice and skill to haul a bike down to a stop without locking up the brakes and laying the bike onto the pavement. For a car, in an emergency situation, a driver only needs to mash on the brake pedal as hard as possible, with no worries of flipping or high siding, or laying the car its side

  • So you're riding your bike, splitting lanes which is illegal in majority of states except for Cali for some random ass reason, yet you are complaining about someone else switching lanes "illegally"? At least they signaled, you're on a bike late evening between car lanes, dumb. Pot calling the kettle black, see how far that gets you. That's like someone placing their hand on the hot stove and complaining about it burning them...don't split lanes, then nothing to worry about. Problem solved.

  • @jerron07glasson

so what your saying is that we should pass more laws in california? why can't people just be responsible for themselves.

  • @bftbush I'm saying lane splitting should be illegal since it is UNSAFE for all! Don't complain about vehicles not being able to see you during dusk hours while you're splitting lanes on your bike and they're in full size vehicles. Common Sense! duh

  • i fuckin love cali haha

  • That was pretty gay

  • Oh yeah, this reminds me... vote to make motorcycle lane splitting illegal.

  • @viruslived

thats what we need in california MORE LAWS!!! Let's make everything illegal

  • @bftbush Not everything, just lane splitting. :)

  • It sucks for every other state that doesn't allow lane splitting, it should be legal everywhere. People should just learn how to drive better then there wouldn't be as much danger in lane splitting....

  • This is preceisely why lane-splitting is only legal in one state.

  • Hold the Horn longer please.

  • how about don't split traffic...

  • People need to drive like that truck more often when bikers do ignorant things like that!

  • @statjr the biker wasn't being ignorant, what the biker was doing is legal, what the truck did wasn't. you cant pull out of that carpool lane in that spot. if you wanna drive illegally and tell others to do the same so you possibly kill a motorcyclist then you shouldn't have a drivers license.

  • Just because it is legal does not make it safe...use common sense. Bikers are right up there with cops in terms of annoying motorists. One of these days, one of those two will be plastered on the hood of my GT-R, and I hope it is the former because I hear those guys dissolve in grease...

  • im pretty sure lane splitting is legal in California don't hold me to it

  • The person in the pickup had his blinkers on for awhile, you should of saw him. Try to be calm, its hard to see a motorcycle and thats the true. The preson in the truck did break the law by passing over the 2x solid yellow line, which could have costed you your life. But I did see the pickup trucks blinkers on, so you need to be more aware your harder to see. Just ride with caution, people can be asshole.

  • After lane splitting on the 14, 5, and 405 for 3 years going to UCLA I can say this is common as dirt. The big wide double yellow carpool lines mean nothing to steel can drivers in a rush to beat the crowd. I've been blocked, crowded, sprayed on with wiper fluid, yelled at, flipped off, you name it short of being outright shot. Folks stuck in traffic really hate seeing bikes getting wherever faster than they are. Cars didn't tick me off, the Harley bikers who use the throttle as a horn do.

  • 1. lane splitting in California is legal, and 2. it was the truck drivers fault as he's obviously crossing over 2x solid yellow lines from a carpool lane to a fast lane, highly illegal

  • Like you never crossed a double yellow line.... Just saying. In your defense, he did break the law, but that was a little over the top. Bikes aren't easy to see, and you were 2 car lengths back when he signaled. Part of living in CA cities is assuming people will not follow the rules of the road. It just happens.

  • Don't tell me that lane splitting is actually legal.. You were both at fault. I love how you said his license plate for later.. "Oh, I'll just show the proof that he happened to break the law on camera while I was video taping myself breaking the law"

    derp...

  • @SpecktrickTube And lane splitting in California is legal.

  • biker was an idiot

  • okay honestly what bugs me here is the rider acted as if he has never broken a law in his life. As a driver, i know I've broken quite a few. As a rider, I know I've broken PLENTY. stop quoting CA vehicle codes and reading off people's license plates....I say kudos to this truck driver for at least being safe about it

  • LOL

    A "motorcycle nerd"

  • I dont agree with your approach of dealing with idiots who turn without looking ... especially those driving trucks. Bro, always leave two things at home when you ride ... emotions and ego. If hes turning and you honk, great.. but dont prolong the honk which is just to anger the driver... we're unprotected and these idiots out there and do anything (especially while lane splitting) ...

Plus doesn't SoCal drivers have a reputation of having short tempers? LOL

  • @macfahad riders too apparently!

  • I swear bikers act like we never see them when we are switching lanes. I saw a guy well behind me once, knew right where he was, switched into the lane with plenty of space left for him, he sped around me and flipped me off.

  • glad ga don't have that fucked up law.

  • @ObamaIsMaBabyDaddy

He broke the law. CA Vehicle Code section 21460A. dmv.ca.gov: "Do not cross over double parallel solid lines to enter or exit any carpool lane except at designated entry or exit places... Motorcycles may travel faster than traffic during congested road conditions and can legally travel in the unused space between two lines of moving or stationary vehicles, which is commonly called "lane splitting."

  • @MotorcycleLA Well i dont know about that. They just made it a law to calm the bikers down because they were all probably whining about it. And since the biker is going faster than traffic and probably does not expect a biker to go in between lanes at 30 mph while the traffic is at a standstill probably won't see them when they turn.

  • @MotorcycleLA to be accurate, you were crossing the double solid yellow line too, just because you didnt go from the first lane to the second lane does mean you didnt cross them, technically any cop can give you a ticket because you crossed the first solid yellow line, DO NOT reply to this comment, i know what im talking about, im studying Law enforcement, and Criminal Justice so i know im right, that why im saying do not reply to my comment because it will be blocked so you'd be wasting time..

  • @badmonk3829 GOD ANOTHER CORRUPT PIG IN THE MAKING!!!

  • @MotorcycleLA The ONLY good law they passed in CA lol. I still wouldn't do it, too many fucktards in raging cages everywhere. Props for you though.

  • @MotorcycleLA Bikers cut through traffic all day so stop crying. Yall call it "lane splitting" but normal minded people call it cutting ahead of others. "Split lanes" on me and see if you live to talk about it let alone make a youtube video.

  • @SuperRavensfan5220 Damn you mad bro. You must be a repeat offender of one of the seven deadly sins, "wrath."

  • @SuperRavensfan5220 its california, lane splitting is legal there. i live in florida where its not legal but everyone on bikes does it anyways and cops dont do anything to us! and where you live so i can lane split you?

  • @MotorcycleLA wait...if its a double yellow, and you are riding in the middle...doesnt that mean you crossed it too? as matter a fact, dont you cross it alot as you move around through traffic. im not sure how you can say hes at fault when you yourself have crossed it too....you cant split that lane without crossing it at some point in time. yeah he shouldnt have changed lanes but.......this is a case of the pot and the kettle.

  • @healonator he never crossed the double yellow... he was riding the white line... still inside the lane... and in CA it perfectly legal to lane split... there are designated entry and exit locations before main exits etc... I live in CA and ive drove in LA/Orange County plenty of times... i know what its like down there and i wish i had my bike while i was there... would have made going somewhere alot easier..

  • @THEvampgenocide just saying...its a short video...odds are if hes been where he is for any lenght of time, it is very likely that he too has crossed the lines...in the video no....but since when do ppl lane split for 38 sec. i mean, when i think about that carpool lane, i think of all the ppl in it that arent familiar with the area and need to get over to make an exit(even if it is illegal), id say thats the worst place to lane split.

  • @ObamaIsMaBabyDaddy The driver was at fault. The driver made an illegal lane change. Notice the double yellow lines. They are there for a reason.

  • @ObamaIsMaBabyDaddy what are you talking about we do own the road

  • @jacksoness2 haha....

  • @ObamaIsMaBabyDaddy the problem is u fuckin cagers show no respect to us, a fender bender to you is life and death to us. the biker wasnt going fast and the pick up truck driver tried to cross over the double yellow line. if it was me i woulda broke his side mirror when i passed by

  • @ObamaIsMaBabyDaddy Us bikers think we own the road for a reason (because we do). The reason I ride is to do shit that cars can't; people that think the way I ride is being an asshole are haters.

  • @lostalil Yeah you think that you own the road until your ass gets ran over.

  • @ObamaIsMaBabyDaddy you my friend just got butt fucked

  • @ObamaIsMaBabyDaddy

Your an idiot, take a driving course.

  • @ObamaIsMaBabyDaddy You sound like a soccer mom who doesn't look when they signal.

  • What a fucking dick. Your a cop?

  • When someone cuts you off in your car, you mash the brakes, no big deal. Someone cuts you off on a bike, its potentially the end of your life. If the guy wasnt suppose to merge, then he's in the wrong. End of story.

  • @rjfrommars I don't think anyone had to "mash" the brakes here

  • Lane splitting is not permissible in HOV unless they have more than one lane. Bike rider is at fault here. And yes the truck is breaking his own laws by leaving the HOV lane under a double yellow line.

  • @purenrgy1 Partly correct. According to CHP, HOV splitting IS legal so long as you never cross the yellows. Crossing the yellows will result in a ticket. This rider was riding to the left of the yellows and thusly doing it correctly. The middle "no man's land" common to many California HOV lanes (the area between the pairs of yellows) is a giant question mark. I've had CHP officers lead me down this "lane" of roadway with no problem. Other times I've seen people pulled for doing it. Grey areas.

  • Ride safe out there, OP. It's clear that a lot of people here just don't get it and don't understand the danger of people illegally exiting the diamond lane like that.

I actually got taken out on my ride home one day about 5 years ago by a woman driving a big SUV who decided that she wanted to come across and beat traffic. No signal, no nothing. Just a big fucking black metal wall in front of me. Had all my gear on as I always do, but my hip will probably hurt until the day I punch out.

  • Well u dont gotta be a bitch and put his plate out on the internet.

  • @cheeseburger9418 Yeah. Because now I'm going to be watching for that vehicle out of the corner of my eye every time I commute in the greater OC/LA area to avoid him like the plague.

  • @joshuaspolar Sure thing. Everyone needs to drive a car before a bike... so they can understand where the blind spots are. That's all. There is no other reason to drive a car before riding a bike.

This guy OBVIOUSLY had no concern for any other drivers on the road. He obviously has no concern for road laws or the safety of others. Fuck him if he didn't get out in time to make his exit, he should have exited farther back when indicated.

The driver was 100% in the wrong.

  • @gymkhanadog you're "obviously" wrong. No concern? I'm pretty sure you can see him using his blinker from the start of the video, and on top of the he also made sure the biker saw him turning out! pretty concerned for others if you ask me!

and this could've been his first drive on this freeway, or maybe he didn't know the exit...give the guy a break. He needed to get out, and pretty much used every attempt at making it safe.

If you think he didn't something wrong, guess what.

    you're 8 of 37

  • @joshuaspolar You do realize that it's nationally illegal to cross a double yellow line, right? To even get your driver's license you acknowledge that you KNOW that it's illegal to cross a double yellow. It doesn't matter what state or roadway you're on.

He did not do everything he could to safely exit. In the video you can see the carpool lane open all of perhaps 100' further down. That is his safe and legal exit. People like him are the reason my hip is fucked up when I was riding safely.

  • @gymkhanadog I'm done talking to you man. People like this guy are the reason I HAVEN'T crashed yet. Because he looked and made sure the biker knew what he was doing. He could've just cut out and scared the biker, but he clearly did not. He gave the biker plenty of time. I would've been glad to be this biker - this truck was considerate IMO.

If you honestly can't see that, maybe you and this biker should go ride off a cliff together because you don't understand what decency is

  • @joshuaspolar

Watch 'Motorcycle Crash Lane Splitting'. The van driver had their blinker on, that means nothing. The truck was illegally exiting the HOV and pulled right in front of me. He could have waited 50ft and I would have just gone on my way and not honked at him. I'm curious as to your thoughts on the 'Motorcycle Crash Lane Splitting' video.

  • @gymkhanadog and this biker %100 makes all us other bikers look like inconsiderate jerks

  • @joshuaspolar If this guy was splitting lanes at 60mph, came flying up on the guy and then ripped in to him, I'd be all over the bandwagon yelling at him. As far as I can see, he did nothing wrong except let the guy out of the lane after chastising him with the horn.

If reminding somebody what they're doing is illegal makes me inconsiderate... then... well. You probably wouldn't want to know what really goes on in my head for reminding people that they're doing illegal stuff.

Thanks for actually putting some intelligent thought into this. It seems most of the people here haven't watched the video 'Motorcycle Crash Lane Splitting'. The van in that video had their blinker on too as they were illegally exiting the HOV. Just because the truck had his blinker on didn't mean he saw me coming. Had I of been speeding, which I wasn't and I don't, I could have been a smear on the road.

"This guy obviously had to make an exit and you can't always wait for the Dlane to open up." The proper exit is 50ft further down the road. How does honking at someone breaking the law make me a "bad rider"? I'm failing to see your reason. I'll agree it was an over-reaction, nowadays I don't get bent out of shape unless someone really does something to endanger me.
