Another fantabulous video. I thought that both the presentation as well as the passion for what you discuss is very refreshing. You don't waste time building a clock, when all that is needed is telling the time! Excellent! As always, Educational, informative very nicely presented. Keep-em Coming! (smiles :))
hi, i'm new with linpus, and i would like to know fue things, exempl. how to set the video out in Mplayer and how to find if the video codek is the right one ? thx a lot
I haven't used the Aspire One personally, and I haven't seen a Linpus version of it in a long time, so I couldn't say. Sorry I couldn't be of any help.
hey im having the same problem, every time i try to play a video on my acer aspire one Mplayer opens and says "video codec not found" sound will play but there is no video. i know its not the movie because it plays just fine on my vista desktop. if anyone could help this would be greatly appreciated. thankyou
It is possible to get skype working by downloading Fedora 7 version, installing everything, then pressing left Alt F2 type "skype" in the box that pops up, press enter and it's working, repeat whenever you want to use it - Alt F2 return (skype will be there in the box from last time.
I'm using the acer aspire one right now to post this comment and im using the windows xp home edition and i personly think it's A LOT better then lynix. Blue tooth is usable
i have an acer aspire one it is very good and i have found out how to change the fonts with the advanced settings buy i was wondering do you have xbox live?
Nice to see some intelligent comments for a change. The fuck heads who are taking the piss out of this guy, look at yourself in the mirror you will probably fall in love with yourself, pricks, have you any idea of what this guy has probably been through, you couldn't even imagine. I have been through 2 eye ops of 8 hours a piece and I have 2 thriving business so am I A RETARD get a life fag heads and grow up.
It's very tempting to buy Acer Aspire 1. But let's face it, Before Acer is not that very reliable. It breaks easily. I don't know now. I might get this but just in case, I'll get a warranty. Just to make sure.
Well firstly i like windows, say what you want about it but i like it. I tried the Linpus Lite on my Aspire and found it good and sufficient for the every day stuff but it just didn't cut it for me.
Hi, i just bought an Acer Aspire One two days ago - 120Gb HDD version. I found that there is away to access the advanced mode. It's quite easy and that allows you to add lots of other features and 3rd party applications. The kernel i believe is that of Red Hat i think. Busy installing XP on mine now.
I'm so used to my windows apps that i just don't want to change over. I completly believe in open source and have tried out Linux tones of times but old habbits die hard.
XP is now fully up and running, took me a while to figure out how to install it from a
USB drive but got it done. I found that the graphics driver work much better with windows and I'm getting a good frame rate with WOW. Just added 512md of memory.. now that was a mission. Though i was going to break the small thing. If i knew it would be this hard to do it with the HHD version i would have paid the extra 20 pounds had had Acer install it.
PS still boot really fast with XP on it... Vista next maybe

It would be a better video and more helpful if you show the Aspire One instead of yourself, like most review videos out there.

Am I a faggot, a dumbass or a retarded?
