that is clearly a v6, and have u ever heard a v8 sound like that? NO YOU HAVENT.

  • thats a v8

  • Had a 4 WD GMC w/305 v-6.......... UNSTOPPABLE these engines where so bad ass, they were put in corn pickers/ combines.... unreal torque.

  • every video i have seen about this truck it has a 305 will someone drop a 350 with a 400 crank in it

  • @offroadingfreack97 well a 383 would be nice it would not be as nice and rare as this 305 V6. if you would of noticed it is not that crappy 305 v8 you know the one with the 3.736 bore with 8 pistons, this is the 305 V6 with the 4.25 bore and only 6 pistons

  • @offroadingfreack97 Why? So it can be like almost every other older chevy truck on the road. These truck engines are unique. not allot off people can say they have a big block V6! Every car show i go to, all the old trucks have smallblocks in them. Its nice to finally see something different. Before i put a 454 in my truck, it was the only one around with a built up 235 I-6 in it.

  • wheres the other 2 cylinders

  • @seansweetaurus thats what i was thinking

  • @seansweetaurus ...ohhh I gues they are where they are NOT NEEDED.

  • my dad and i bought a 63 gmc with a 305 v6 big block in it, any tips on makin the engine look like yours? what parts did you use

  • Best pickup motor along with the 300 ford. I have mine on its stand waiting for a rebuild, i dont care how long it takes, i will not dare get rid of that motor i have

  • i have the same engine in a 67 gmc, what are you running for mufflers?

  • It looks like GM cut their V12 in half and came up with this, or is it the other way around? Those valve covers look like they're off of one of those.

  • @ThunderAppeal

    The v12 was 2 351 V6's :D

The block was a single casting.

  • thats a HUGE v6

  • wow

  • Wow. It runs smooth.

  • Makes me wish I had my 1962 GMC 305d truck still. Engine looks and sounds excellent.

  • u could atleast change the air cleaner.

  • it looks steampunk, awesome:p

  • i had an 1960 gmc pickup and i put over 800,000 miles on it that 305 v6 was an great motor.

  • Nice man at least you not blowing it up like some other fuck heads around here

  • kick out? lol, um i guessing that means 145hp @3800rpm & 280ft/lbs torque @1600rpm

  • Nice sounding 305 V6. What exhaust system you got on there? Sounds pretty nice.
