Permaculture swale - manure, peat moss, leaf litter and mulched wood

I've found that pre-soaking peat moss before using makes it so much better. It doesn't blow around or suck up all the moisture. I like what you're doing on your land. Thanks for sharing.

@stormus24 Thank you for the suggestion on the peat moss. This past season these swales worked decently, and the materials I packed in them really broke down a lot so I will be adding more materials to each of the swales again this year. I expect that the performance of the swales will continue to improve as the materials continue to break down and soak up the moisture. So I am excited to see what happens this year.
