Yeah, except the pro-choice movement (especially its leadership) can't survive, if abortion becomes rare. Nobody will care about protecting abortion rights if the act of abortion itself is driven out of the mainstream.
This ad is unnecessarily divisive. You CAN be pro-life and pro-choice. What you can't be is pro-choice and anti-choice.
Bill Clinton said it well when he said abortion should be "safe, legal and rare." I don't think anyone <I>likes</I> abortion. I find it horribly distasteful. I would do anything to support a friend who was making the choice to help them not have an abortion if possible.
But, I am pro-choice. People need the option. We cannot imagine every circumstance.
