evolution is bullshit. human's have never changed, and they never will. i'd think it would be obvious to people at this point, but i guess they're too ignorant of what's going on around them.
You're bringing up "sexism" as an argument against an evolutionary theory? No shit you don't need a guy to "take care of you" in this day and age, that has nothing to do with why we evolved to be attracted to certain features.
I hate to tell you, but men and women ARE NOT equal. Men and women have different features, different strengths and weaknesses. There are certain things that women will NEVER be equal to men at, and vice versa.
You even admit it yourself, saying that you prefer guys that aren't skinnier than you. You then claim that it's at least partly because of societies views. Maybe society has those views, because that is how we evolved.
Also, people going for others of similar body type is completely in line with that. Evolution would want us to have the best chance of survival, and a "4" isn't going to have great chances with mating with a "10," so we evolved to seek out those similar to us.
It's been proven guys like juicy booties. =) In polls and stuff. When I was really skinny because of anorexia guys thought I looked sick. The notice me more now that I actually have curves.
Also, I don't really care about how a guy looks. What matters to me is intelligence, humor and kindness. =) So whoever thinks this bull is totally and utterly WRONG!

Umm, well as far as attraction goes, the soul stuff doesn't work on the visual side at all, so yeah... I love BBWs, and I would agree that a primal instinct would really go for a curvier woman, if it reall is driven like that. Actually, if you look at media directed at straight guys, like video games, they usually are curvier. While still being fairly skinny. My sister thinks muscles are gross too, which she told me when I showed her my own. Personally, I like them, I think they look good on me.

I also love the quote that eyes are the window to the soul, since I find the eyes most attractive, and if it is a window to their soul, then I find their soul attractive. When I give birth to a child, I DO want a woman with more meat and hips, without even considering the fact that chubby (well, "curvier" is a better term) women look healthier to me, as long as it isn't an extreme case of obese, which, of course, is just as unhealthy as a frail, weak, underfed, anorexic looking stick figure, poor excuse of a woman.

I also happen to find Adele and Kelly Osbourne to be the ultimate sexy women in the music business. Sad how in the video for the song "chasing pavements" they used a skinny model with ugly, skinny, long feet, which happens to lose a shoe during the video....

I also don't think men have to be high status or financially stable...my husband only works at a hotel and hasn't graduated college (In fact..he is taking a break from it). I don't know where you're getting this. I don't believe in special privileges for women...I believe in equality and acceptance...of everyone.
to add to the other comment. Im like 5'7 n weighing around 280 and my bf is 135. lolso bigg huge difference but he likes it that way haha. he always like if u lose weight better not be much. so yeah the way the world is today about guys should like only be attracive to skinny girls. is just stupid
