After seeing it twice, the visuals are burned into my memory. So for me personally, the songs hold up just as well on their own (better, almost). That being said, I wouldn't recomend anyone listening to them before they have seen the movie.

I really wish they would release a soundtrack album. I know when I asked Deakin at the screening that they wouldn't, as they were tied to the visuals, but I can't drive over mailboxes listening to this on DVD :(

@MCzombo there are quite a few really great songs but it doesnt feel like one of their albums to me at all. on other ac albums every song is amazing where as on this i always end up skipping a bunch of tracks (3,6,9,11,and 12)

@alliant whoa whoa whoa buckaroo thats quite an accusation. those songs are great in context but without the visuals listening to them feels like they're missing something. you dont have to tell me what kind of work animal collective puts into their music either. if you think i have no appreciation what they're doing youre mistaken. plus some of my favorite music is fully instrumental albums.
