Also... for a long time now, no team has been able to consistently compete with the 48. During that time, Gordon acted as a teammate should have when they've been outclassed - he let Johnson have the bigger part of the stage. Gordon is competing harder this year. His cars have been better as well. Gordon once again rightfully believes that he can and should beat Johnson. Johnson needs to man up and stop acting like a child on the track.

I know there is another way to interpret Johnson's statement at 1:32 in this video where he says "Next race we'll do it again" - but consider it with the fact that the next race was Talladega in which Johnson dove to the inside to cut Gordon off late in the race ultimately ending Gordon's chances of a good finish.... It sure looks like Jimmy was telling everyone (including Gordon) that he planned to continue at Talladega what he'd started at Texas. Bad form by Johnson... Very bad form.

Ten years into his career Jeff led more laps, won more races and poles, had more top 5's and 10's than Johnson has had in his first 10 years. So how can Gordon be jealous?
