Jesus! You guys are major assholes! The HKIA is the best international airport I've ever been too (I've been to 69, I counted), so I consider myself lucky to live here. I sued the JFK airport for 195,000 USD because I watched from the window as they smacked my skateboard against the ground to purposefully break it; AFTER they opened my suitcase and rummaged through it. How dare you people say that HKers are racist when most of you have not been more then 50 minutes away from there own homes.

@5382021 They broke my skateboard (cost 320 USD, different kind of skateboard) and then threatened to sue me for "public disputations" when I got off the plane and called the airport security. They threatened to sue me for 4,000,000 USD. So, I sued them for threatening for suing me for no reason and for watching them smack my skateboard on the ground and tossing it across pavement. You are what we call a self-entitled 10 year old that doesn't know smack about how the world works.
@5382021 Ah of course you would be perfectly content to sue them for only what its worth, after they try and sue you for much more. Funny how companies never get sued for only what the damaged item is worth, right? Like someone else said, you're just some self centered 10 year old who still gets anything they want out of mummy and daddys wallet
@circa326 Yeah. I recieved 85,000 dollars. The rest of the money was given in the form of Asia Miles. It was kind of like the "United Breaks Guitars" situation, except I can't sing, so a "United Breaks Skateboards" wouldn't've worked :)
if possible i bring my fragile things in my hand luggage, ive seen them do this first hand and yelled my head off at them out of the window. it wasnt my luggage they mistreated, but it was for the same flight, bastards
@FrapsYou Funny you say "have to repeat...", you do know that no one is forcing nobody to do a specific job (not talking about slavery and prostitution). This was clearly his choice of career and he at least can put some effort into it.
1:43 He drags that bag on the ground with the soft side rubbing against the ground, even though it has wheels and he could just as well roll it much easier, but no he has to drag it like a rag, what a lazy scumbag, i would never hire anybody with that attune of laziness and neglect.
This should be brought to the notice of the management of the airport and then the guy should be fired along with fines equivalent or greater to the value declared in those bags he was mishandling. Pathetic attitude towards work.
I remembered the last time I had flight with Cebu Pacific, my stuff, sweets from the Phil., were crashed like a giant stomped on them. Well, they are the cheapest airline, I suppose, so expect for the cheapest treatment for our stuff as well.
YES..definitely this is not from the the Philippines..It`s from other international airport, although the the plane is exactly from the Philippines..These airport agents needs seminar about their job! or better fire them out!!!!!!!
@MrFilipinopride08 - is it because of the august 23 hostage crisis, yes indeed, this a Cebu Pacific plane, things should be revised, there are a lot of failures in this, yes: worryingly funny
@pinalo2009 no this isn't because of the August 23rd 2010 Hostage. If you notice the date in which this video was uploaded, this video was taken on or before April 3rd 2010, which is before the incident happend.
its all the same anywhere... what to expect in budget airlines/terminals? it doesnt matter if it is in hongkong or anywhere... its all the same anywhere then....
@TheSparkrod i don't think so, it depends on the Airlines. it doesn't depend on airport/terminals. therefore do not generalize that this is the same at any location. this is part of the responsibility of the airlines. that is why part of the criteria in identifying the best airline in the world is their luggage handling; aside from in-flight service, promptness in departure, safety, etc. in other words, CebPac sucks.
AIRPORT IN HONGKONG SUCKS. HONGKONG PEOPLE ARE RACIST AND FULL OF PRIDE. I FCKING WANNA PUT THAT GUY ON THE MOVING RAMP AND LET HIM FALL ON THE TOP. WE NOW KNOW WHO TO BLAME WHEN OUR FRAGILE BELONGINGS BROKE.
It is the responsibility of ground handling crew of the airport, not cebu pacific's. although the aircraft shown is a A320 of CebPac, they are not liable with the handling of baggages.
@brent07 CebPac is liable with the handling of the luggage because those ground personnel are paid by CebPac. so in any way, those crew, outsourced or not, are representative of CebPac.
Appreciation can be extended to the owner of the video for revealing the plight of cargo in an airport that is clearly not from the Philippines since the Philippines has enough land for their airports and does not need to put up one on reclaimed land from the sea, as seen on this video. Thank you for your time.
ULTIMATE FACT: On the FIRST MINUTE AND FIFTEEN SECONDS of the video, the woman speaking on the video uttered, "Baggage handling, Hong Kong" which shows that there is clearly a mistake on the tagging of this video. The content is an eye-opener for HongKong's UNSATISFACTORY cargo handling.
FACT#4: Cebu Pacific, just like any other airline, has a Cargo Service, but does not have a dedicated cargo crew waiting for its limited arrival and departure at a certain airport. Cebu Pacific is not that rich to have a dedicated number of crew servicing them every time their plane lands and departs. The crew seen in the video with a different color-code uniform is not from any Philippine airport.
FACT#1: The first second of this video shows that the airport is right beside a BODY OF WATER. The Manila International Airport as well as the Mactan International Airport are both LANDLOCKED.
FACT#2: The AIRCRAFT PUSHBACK/TOW TRACTOR seen entering the video on the 25th second is not the model nor the color-code being used by any of the Philippine airports.
FACT#3: All cargo crew of a certain airport work for the airport of that particular country and not the airline.
@24zhan and those people are not filipinos. right? ive seen the other videos they are indians.. and this happned in hongkong but a philippine airline.
don't care whether this is in Cebu or Hongkong or Manila...Airlines like Cebu Pacific should be strict with whoever handles the baggage for their passengers.Even if the ground staff are employed by the airport, there should have been an airline or plane personnel who should oversee the baggage handling inside the plane. I hope every employee of Cebu Pacific will experience the same "i don't care" attitude with their personal belongings.
It is a Cebu Pacific plane at Hong Kong International Airport. In Hong Kong baggage handling for Cebu Pacific is done by SATS HK, the Hong Kong subsidiary of Singapore Airport Terminal Services. SATS HK also handles Delta, Jet Airways, Malaysia, Turkish, Air Canada, and Tiger Airways, among others.
If this guy claims for a disability for work related back injury and his insurer see this....good luck to him winning his claim. To consider this a "normal baggage handling" procedure is crazy & I can't understand why some guys are just standing there and watching. If he laid those bags on the ramp properly in the first place, he could have same his time, energy and those poor bags the trauma.
That look's like normal luggage-handling. Think about how many tons of luggage a groundhandler lifts each day! I agree that it's a extremly bad way to handle luggage the way he does, but groundhandlers cannot lift each pack of luggage.
srry guys, I've been in scenes like this lots of times. I had to pull up many a baggage loader and supervisors for crappy attitude like this, but to give them a little slack, what these guys do are more often than not, thank-less jobs . 12hr shifts of back-breaking work, and at the end when he takes a pee break and his superintendent screams his head off for slow loading, and delayed flights. sheesh!! but not always, some loaders are downright cheapos. the Q is, do we know which one this guy is?
@firozosman Sorry, give baggage loaders some slack, and allow them to be assholes. Fuck off! Some of the stuff they break with their lack of care can't be replaced. Not to mention the amount of times they fuck up and send your suitcase to the wrong country let alone airport. If anything we should complain not just about their lack of care but find out the root of the problem (most likely a dick head manager) and complain about them too.
@OMGyouAREaTWAT i agree completely i went from phil (Philadelphia) to Tampa and my baggage went to California, and then India i had no cloths for almost a week. the idiots couldn't put my baggage on the right plane twice
I dont know why any one is suprised hell i have yet to be on a plane and ive heard all my life buy the best luggage you can (quality not fashion) and pack your shit tight with all the breakable stuff in the middle so your clothing will be the protection.
@jleyd oh please, you load 10-15 aircraft with 200 people with each 20kg/40lbs of luggage each and every day. simple math, that guy is probably lifting 60tons of luggage day in and day out
@jleyd Some very well payed bankers also loose stuff (money) in large amounts that normally tax payers have to compensate for. They basically treat the customers like this guy.
the second red bag he handled- why couldn't he pull it the correct way? it would make his life easier, and the fabric of the bag won't suffer wear and tear... lol
Stupid ass ramp rat. This is one of the reasons why i quit my ramp attendant job, give that guy shit for working as he does and he will go cry to the company union rep. If people would know what goes on in a airport bagroom, they would send their valubles through cargo instead.
A word to the wise, do not put any type of fragile items in your checked in luggage. if you do, wrap the item with all you can to protect it. the worst is labeling it FRAGILE, your just asking for trouble that way :-)
hey guys I work at the airport... your stuff gets treated like sh*T. This morons run over bags with trucks or cars some times. they don't car at all. They hire any monkey that can pass a background check.
Actually, that looks fairly normal. Baggage handlers are expected to do this quickly, often using poor equipment and with less staff than there should be. They don't get in trouble if they break someone's bag, but they do get in trouble if the plane goes out late. It's as simple as that.
And there goes my ipad

I had to pull up many a baggage loader and supervisors for crappy attitude like this, but to give them a little slack, what these guys do are more often than not, thank-less jobs . 12hr shifts of back-breaking work, and at the end when he takes a pee break and his superintendent screams his head off for slow loading, and delayed flights. sheesh!! but not always, some loaders are downright cheapos. the Q is, do we know which one this guy is?
firozosman 3 months ago
@firozosman Sorry, give baggage loaders some slack, and allow them to be assholes. Fuck off! Some of the stuff they break with their lack of care can't be replaced. Not to mention the amount of times they fuck up and send your suitcase to the wrong country let alone airport. If anything we should complain not just about their lack of care but find out the root of the problem (most likely a dick head manager) and complain about them too.

@jleyd you know its probably the other way right?
krunkaintdead69 2 months ago
@jleyd oh please, you load 10-15 aircraft with 200 people with each 20kg/40lbs of luggage each and every day. simple math, that guy is probably lifting 60tons of luggage day in and day out
blancfilms 2 months ago
@blancfilms a pathetic excuse for being lazy. look at the video again. the guy should load the baggage at the base of the conveyor. 20/40kg my ass.

@jleyd Some very well payed bankers also loose stuff (money) in large amounts that normally tax payers have to compensate for. They basically treat the customers like this guy.

LMFAO that red bag does not want to go.
Clipper1094 3 months ago
the second red bag he handled- why couldn't he pull it the correct way? it would make his life easier, and the fabric of the bag won't suffer wear and tear...

@8justin88 I'm sure your sarcastic, but you'd be fucking brain damaged to put anything valuable in your checked luggage
misterbarbister 3 months ago
@misterbarbister amen to that. most valuable thing i've ever had in there would have to be a carhartt jacket.
8justin88 3 months ago
hey guys I work at the airport... your stuff gets treated like sh*T.
