My cat licking plastic bags

I am awake right this moment because of this! The weirdest thing is thta my cat is about 6 years old and has only been doing this for a couple of months. I took him to the vet and he is fine. But I can't get him to stop.

My kitty does that as well and it drives me up a damn wall!!! Especially when it's in the middle of the night...What a bratsky!

the texture feels good to the cat and apparently plastic bags emit an odor that cats really enjoy. A lot of people think that when a cat licks bags though, it developes a sickness called PICA. Try to give him/her catnip instead.

Seriously the moment I walk through the door with groceries she has to stick her head in them and lick them! And they the handles get caught around her had and she walks around the house with it around her neck.

My cat does this also! From paper to plastic...and if I don't put a bag of cat food away, the next day it will have a huge hole chewed in the side!

Cute kitty! I love white cats :) I think cats are a little weird though lol, why do they lick stuff like that? My cat doesn't lick plastic bags but he has a weird habbit of licking the windows.. I guess he's trying to clean for us. lol.

My cat will go on hunting missions for plastic bags. I'll carry shopping bags home and she'll jump on the counter and lick them all. I have several bags with teeth marks on them. She won't stop!
