  • hey have u had any problems at all with your micro before..or a problem that uve encounterd..PLEASE RESPOND!!!

  • u need to do this on a BB motor -.-? and u RLY HAVE to do it? like u have to or if not it will run like shit? or i can just use my car normally=?till it breaks in???

  • id say do it, since breaking in a motor will make it last longer. when you get a new motor the brushes are flat, breaking it in rounds the brushes. you can either do it like in the vid or run the motor very slow and gradually reduce the speed of it. be sure to dry the motor bearings really well than relube them.

  • @tyhodge07 this isnt a break in this is a cleaning vid i have many electric and the oldest is 5 years old and it still runs like new

  • @tcy109 you dont have to break in an electric motor this is to clean it

  • @funkilishes7 Ugh i dint and mine blew up so i sold my microt

  • @tcy109 well i have had minee for abit more than a year and its all stock except the aluminum parts and the cf chassiethe motor esc and recever r stock i have a lipo and the highest tooth pinuon gear

  • @funkilishes7 Mine had ball bearing a arms aluminum gears lipo bb motor and cf chasis also

and then the esc blew up i fixed then my motor blew up so i said fuck it.. And sold it eith threated axels and shit it was a nice micro t

  • are u shure just dip the whole thing in the water even the wires please respond

  • yes im sure, dip it all in. just like it was done in the video.

  • dont do that it will rust it

  • does not rust it. i have never seen rubbing alchol rust something. motor i used for this video 2 years (prob soon to 3 now) later still looks new.

  • just a few seconds?

    i've heard of 1 or 2 hours!

  • you have to do that with the bb motor?

  • hi, is there a break in procedure for a brushless motor?

  • no, you do not need to break in a brushless motor. brushless motor require alot less maintenance. just keep the bearings oil'd and dirty cleaned off of them and your fine.

  • I'm new to this stuff, Thnks for info.

  • would this work for a brushless motor also? i have my brushless setup in on order coming in the mail..

    Thank you..

  • no, you dont have to clean a brushless motor, their maintenance free. thats a plus about them.

  • Awesome.. Thanks for the info

  • i just got the bb motor for the micro-t, will putting the motor in the water damage it in any way? sry for the questions and all i just dont wanna damage my new motor

  • Seriously, can you answer that last question? I just got a BB motor and was just wondering why it needs a break-in like this. I'll gladly do it if will prevent damage/increase life/increase performance/etc... This is the only place I've seen someone suggesting a motor break-in this way. Thanks for responding.

  • Ok, after a little research, it helps the brushes form to the armature. Initially, they are rectangle and after break-in they are curved to the shape of the armature. W/out break-in, arcing can occur which causes pitting in the brushes and reduces performance. I don't know why you using a 9V battery though, I would think a AA or two would work fine. Thanks for the sweet video.

  • what does this do to the motor? does it improve the performence? or the life?

  • are you serious? dip it in water?

  • 50/50 half of water half of rubbing alchol, yes, make sure its running and run it for about 20 seconds after you pull it out.

  • were did you get that motor out of?

i need a motor for my micro t

  • just go to atomicmodsdotcom

  • is their another way? im getting a bb on the way and can i jus like put throttle trim in low reverse and let it sit till the battery dies? thts wat i did w/ my micro rs4 it was fine!
