WHAT IS HE TALKING ABOUT!!!! it is more appealing to the flesh? No religion requires more denial of the flesh then mormonism! Christianity talks about..... as if mormonism doesn't talk about and stress those same things. WHY ARE YOU LYING?

So who created all those who haven't accepted Christ? If God created them he is their father. Christ proved time and again the value of every soul on earth including those who hadn't accepted him!

@peaceliberty4all I agree with you, but I also agree with what Shawn says about mormonism being appealing. These things that he says are appealing (which I really don't think are appealing to the flesh) are found in biblical scripture and need not be apologized for. I further agree with Shawn that mormonism may become more appealing as time goes on.

Under who's authority are the living apostles special witnesses? Jesus Christ was validated by miracles and prophecy. HIS Apostles were validated as well by miracles. The Mormon church have no miracles, prophecy, archaelogy, DNA, etc., etc. to validate the message....Only the "burning in the bossom" emotional "validation". Lights off and nobody's home there... hmmm...

I am Mormon. Some wards are materialisitic. I moved temporarily from a ward in the affluent suburbs of Chicago to one in Western Canada. In Western Canada many Mormons live in trailer parks, so I wouldn't call that materialistic. Mormonism is the most true and best faith on Earth.

You are joking of course. First principle of the gospel is Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Second principle is Repentance. Why is that? Because if we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. They give practical advise in church meetings on how to be good, how to change from being a sinner to doing what the Lord would have us do.

The Holy Spirit will convict men of sin. Listening to the LDS leaders speak, I feel like I am listening to a feel-good humanist who wants people to be better because it will bless their lives. There is nothing about sin. Therefore - the Holy Spirit is not with the LDS church. + The LDS church teaches false doctrine....

Don't be a hypocrite. If you believe in the Bible then you are following prophets and apostles. The only words of Christ that we have are what is written by prophets and apostles. He didn't write a book or keep a diary as far as we know. SO when the prophets teach us of Christ and His will it would be well for us to listen

There is nothing hypocritical in my comment. Unlike Mormon apostles-those whose written word is in the Bible saw Christ, walked and talked with Christ, were taught by Christ, some even touched the nail marks in his hands and the wound in his side. The real hypocrites are the Mormon apostles who can claim no such thing as those in the BIble. I will not follow the teachings of Men claiming to represent God who have authority.

Romans is Paul's call to discipleship and is talking about idolatry. Cor mentions nothing about gay being a sin. Can you please come up with something new?

The spirit & flesh do not contradict each other. That comes from the pagan Greek philosophers. The spirit of Jesus came from the Father, that He might take on our flesh & become one w/ us that we might become one w/ Him. We need to be carefull not to biforcate the flesh & spirit too radically.

Folks, I would not base you experiences in the church off of that. I have not had that experience you have had. (As a curiosity, what city were those churches at?) Mormons are people just like anyone else and some meetinghouses are happier than other I would gather.

Almost every single word of LDS prophet and apostle, is about being good, telling emotional stories etc... When is the LDS people going to be told that they are vile sinners, God haters from birth and enemies of God, so full of sin they cant even see all of it.. ? When are they going to CRY OUT TO GOD FOR FORGIVENESS?

All the "Testimonies" on youtube about how they became mormons only talk about that they wanted God in their lives, prayed about the book of mormon, got burning bosom, their family became better out of it etc... nothing about sin. One of the works of the Holy Spirit is to convict of sin.

Absolutely! It is in the declaration of who the Son is, that the Holy Spirit works to convict sin. A face-to-face encounter with God, through his Son exposes man's wretchedness...

I was invited to a Mormon church for a Halloween party by my neighbor. Out of curiousity I checked it out (hoping that would create some dialog with my Mormon neighbor). I was amazed with all of the scripture verses, pictures of Jesus, etc..., that a person with no knowledge can come into a place like that and think they are in a Christian chruch. I agree with Glorthac; there was a lack of true joy from the people. The experience was enlightening.

One time I accidentally went into a Mormon church (next door to the church I wanted to attend) and everybody seemed depressed there.

It seemed like they knew it was wrong, but were too scared to leave.
