Its taken me a while to get around to watching because i was moderatly cynical of the hype recieved in the UK but it really is inspirational, informative and entertaining.
Thanks for your videos, please don't apologize to your YouTube fans! When you were talking about your computer, you reminded me of my grandfather who I would guess would be a lot like you right now if he was with us, sharing stories on a new form of entertainment and talking about his computers.

For some reason YOUTUBE says 'adding post' when it actually doesn't. Hope this works. This guy obviously hasn't watched your vids at all. He's heard a few seconds of it and not listened to any of it. You don't complain, infact the opposite. I remember my late grandad telling me that people made the most out of a bad situation, your comments are not depressing at all.

I could tell there was a slight twinkle in your eye from the older gentleman in your community who wondered what all the "fuss" was about many years ago. My mom was a young lady working during the war effort here in the States, and she always said the same thing: "Ah phooey, we had a GREAT time!" Life goes on...!

Peter, years ago at school on a U.S. History course, our teacher declared that it's essential we learn the truth about the past, positive AND negative, because "history repeats itself". 30 years on, I've seen that is painfully true! The worthwhile lessons in life are culled from difficult experiences and how we learn to transform them into positive outcomes. PLEASE keep "moaning" and "grumbling"! We're learning so much from your generously shared views.

I see it as jealousy with your neighbour making cruel comments about your video. The other day I got my Dad one of those set-top boxes and he treats it like it's his enemy, swearing at it and such-like! Thank God I don't have to listen to him as I don't live with my parents anymore. 100 miles away with my "beau" in Carlisle lol. I do visit, though ;-)Mum is my soulmate, more of a friend than a Mum.

Instead I view you as a once very ambitious young man that took 'life by the horns' and you are still that person today. Who else builds computers, youtubes, or let alone has email at your age? Just about every person I know your age would say, "World wide what? Quit talking crazy youngster." Or atleast thats what my Grandparents say.

My dad is your age, and a very intelligent man, but I try to imagine him knowing his way around a computer in even a fairly basic way, and it is impossible. He can barely check e-mail. Thanks for your videos, please don't apologize to your YouTube fans! When you were talking about your computer, you reminded me of my grandfather who I would guess would be a lot like you right now if he was with us, sharing stories on a new form of entertainment and talking about his computers.
Also, I like what you said about living in the present. Made me realize it's OK to think about and talk about the past, but you always live in the present. Thanks for that.

Hi Peter. I looked you up when I heard about you in the media... I remember reading some comment about 'grumbling and griping'. I was surprised when checking out the videos at how un-grumpy and affirmative you seemed. I've since come to be a regular visitor, watching all your videos... I don't remember getting bored by them at any point (including the hour-long stories!) Your videos hold my attention throughout... which is something that real grumbling videos can never do!

For some reason YOUTUBE says 'adding post' when it actually doesn't. Hope this works. This guy obviously hasn't watched your vids at all. He's heard a few seconds of it and not listened to any of it. You don't complain, infact the opposite. I remember my late grandad telling me that people made the most out of a bad situation, your comments are not depressing at all.

I could tell there was a slight twinkle in your eye from the older gentleman in your community who wondered what all the "fuss" was about many years ago. My mom was a young lady working during the war effort here in the States, and she always said the same thing: "Ah phooey, we had a GREAT time!" Life goes on...!

You have never grumbled and moan at all. You stores from your child hood are nice to listen to. As for the book type stories are also nice. For the sound trouble it was cool. The way that it sounded at that part put the setting sound in an open area.

Dearest Sir - one thing I wanted to mention but keep forgetting...one way I know a good writer is when I want the story to continue. I want to know what happens to the characters after the story ends. Now THAT is good writing. I wanted to know more about both the boys in the Ma Rainey tale as well as more about Thelma and her family.

Peter, years ago at school on a U.S. History course, our teacher declared that it's essential we learn the truth about the past, positive AND negative, because "history repeats itself". 30 years on, I've seen that is painfully true! Nice of you to explain your outlook on life but most of us already know from your stories what a wonderful life you have had thus far. I for one never took them as nagging and complaining. I see it as jealousy with your neighbour making cruel comments about your video. The other day I got my Dad one of those set-top boxes and he treats it like it's his enemy, swearing at it and such-like! Thank God I don't have to listen to him as I don't live with my parents anymore. 100 miles away with my "beau" in Carlisle lol. I do visit, though ;-)Mum is my soulmate, more of a friend than a Mum.

Peter, you have possibly thousands of fans. Do you think we'd keep watching if we thought you were a grumbler? No.
Instead I view you as a once very ambitious young man that took 'life by the horns' and you are still that person today. Who else builds computers, youtubes, or let alone has email at your age? Just about every person I know your age would say, "World wide what? Quit talking crazy youngster." Or atleast thats what my Grandparents say.

My dad is your age, and a very intelligent man, but I try to imagine him knowing his way around a computer in even a fairly basic way, and it is impossible. He can barely check e-mail. That "person" who came on to you while you were shopping in my opinion was rude! Obviously he doesnt understand what it's all about but to come up and say something like that was totally uncalled for and that is where manners come in to play. "If you dont have anything nice to say, then dont say anything at all .." He could quite possibly be the type of person who could only wish he could do it to! Nobody feels you have in anyway whined or complained and deep down that person knows it to :)

You're helping all who watch to understand that any life is too rich to be summed up in a few words. I love your assertion that you were "lucky" to have associated with people who were young in spirit. As if you hadn't chosen to work in a field that assured you those kinds of associations!
