@smerrigan Well, I'm not sure about the actual budget cuts for CSUF, but the projected cost for tuition in the 2010-2011 year alone is approximately $2,300 a semester (about $4,600 per school year) for full-time students (12+ units).

US is a beautiful country to live without any discussion but if you check the GDP, gross domestic product per capita, It is the best 15th country. That means there is at least 14 more country that you can make a lot more money by doing same profession so quit living in dreams. The international students should be sent home immediately. This is another scheme to prop up bloated professor salaries and benifits and at the same time provide a pipline for foriegners that will never go home and cost society billions in the future when they bring the rest of their family. These foriegn students will vote liberal once they are handed citizenship and that is why they are let in. All state schools are a clearing house for forigners.

I think international students just creating budget for US economy. They just pay their tuition and study that is all they do.They pay a lot more than US citizens, they do not work but they pay same taxes US citizens do. It is a big industry and for the advantage of US.

The thing they don't realize is, if we cut some places in the school system, we will grow much more money on a few years. So if we cut 80 millions from the state school system this year, we can next year have about 102 milions for the school system. So if the students would take some suffer and have papers instead of books for one year, we will provide a bigger service for the school system next year. Someone has to suffer for cuts. But Arnold is not complete stupid.

The Calif. budget is $145 billion and the DEFICIT is $17 billion. Everybody has to share the pain of budget cuts equally--students, schoolteachers, illegals, policemen, firemen, prisons, hospitals, DMV workers, poor children, state workers, etc. We could print more money like they did in Zimbabwe, but that caused 10,000% inflation.
