That first part of the opening...sounds a little "CREAPY" and like a "Preditor" if that is how they sound. Does anyone else agree with me on that one? "Its 11pm, do you know where your kids are?"
My buddy sent me the first clip...they're using Move Closer To Your World again, and the bumper sounds like WPVI-TV's (up and down). The also branded it "Eyewitness News" again...the into looks in-house, but using these graphics...they did a pretty good job. I'll try and get the clips up soon!!!
It was in the paper today...there's a good chance they're bringing back Eyewitness News and the theme song. I had my friend who lives in Toronto TIVO their morning, noon, 5,6, and 11 newscast.
If they really are returning their old image, all their new intros deserve to be on youtube!
I think they are, last night at 11 keith and joanna said on Monday their will be a super secret suprise for their viewers or something like that, it probaly is an eyewitness news revival
Now this might be the best time for KB to get there ratings boost. The coverage issue with LIN's WIVB & Time Warner has made that #1 station into third, and WGRZ has those over the top graphics and that god-awful music, if KB can get MCTYW used for all of their newscast, make some graphic alterations and change their content a bit, they could get that #1 contention again.

OK, 2 issues...1) at least could they have modified the visual aspects of the open to fit in, and 2) FOR GOD'S SAKES, IF YOU'RE GONNA BRING IT BACK, AT LEAST REMASTER IT LIKE PVI! Or use the WNEP techno version, or the 615 updates!
Agreed. They could insert some nice shots of Buffalo like in the original from a couple of years ago. Still, it's a good improvement. They should use MCTYW for the rest of their newscasts as well.
yes WPVI philly and WNEP 16 for Northeast PA use this theme song. thats the 2 local ABCs for where I live

@Icemoney22 the WNEP version is different than the WPVI version. Since you live in PA and can watch both stations, you should know that.

I actually don't mind this intro with MCTYW. what really bugs me is the freeze-frame on the final note.
