@sportshistorybuff Chico had some health issues and was in a nursing home to recuperate. Alot of times you'll find folks go to nursing homes to recup after a illness or accident. Hospitals are good but for just long term recup type stuff nursing homes are used.
@Foofsmom Is it true that his health problems stemmed from choking on a sandwich? I don't know where I heard that. If it were true, it seems all the more tragic if he was otherwise healthy. I assume that meant brain damage from having oxygen cut off to the brain.
@cmt39 Chico died at age 50 in a nursing home of undisclosed causes in 1998. Danny died in his sleep, direct cause unknown, but he had had issues with diabetes and heart problems prior to his death. He was 63.
Thank you, Foofsmom, for posting all of these videos. I have missed Sha Na Na so much over the years. I was definately "teenager in love" with these guys and I still adore them!

Chico had choked but survived, unfortunitly he was in a NH for sometime.

I think so too. He even almost knocked Danny off his perch once ROTF. They had fun with the bouncy balls it looks like.♥

Danny has now joined our darling Chico. He passed away at 4 AM today (7/23/09) RIP boys ^^I^^
