This is one of the reasons I've been moving so far away from my parents! And, this is the sole reason that before I started T, I worked super hard at becoming completely financially independent! Keep on keeping on. You've got friends here on YouTube that completely understand!
Hang in there man! It'll get better and just try to stay strong and stay confident. I know it's very hard to ignore things like that, but just make sure you remember that it's not you, it's them, and it will help a lot once you move out and get your surgery and such. I really hope your holiday was good. Stay strong and we are all here to support you!
i fill you bro my family wont even try or dare try to do it and i just HATE being called by female pronouns but whenever i tired it just turned into a fight so i gave up and avoid them every chance i get ... the only one who is trying it is my siblings and cousins me being trans aint even spoken if it does it behind my back and i get putdown as i was told by sister
dude you can be happy since i told mine they have gone massively paranoid
i'm going through a similar thing and i will probably make you a response video. (orrr we should hang out.) basically the other day my mom and i were eating and she was just like, "so, are you done with hormones yet?" and i was like "...?" and she was like "when are you done?" and i think what is most upsetting, in addition to this implied assumption that this is a phrase, is the fact that they've done none of their own research. they've had 3 years, and just, nothing. how.
I definitely think the idea of some family therapy is a good one. If your gender therapist is too far for that, could you find a general psych locally you could see for family therapy?
I'm going through the same thing. Ever since I came out as a FtM I've never heard my birth name or female pronouns more than now. It bugs me and I get very frustrated
The whole thing about the best present they could give you being an empty box with the correct name on it was heart breaking :( Maybe you should try that line on them, because I know when I heard it all I wanted to do was cheer you up. I honestly do think parents work harder to please their kids when they see them hurting in a sad way rather than an angry way.
On the bright side, it's really nice that your sister isn't getting wrapped up in your parents' attitudes.
Wow I can't imagine living with my parents, it sounds really really stressful. It takes a lot of courage to be able to deal with that on a daily basis. Stick it out and keep your eyes on the prize- not paying rent means all the money can go toward top surgery! I pay so much for rent that if I lived with my parents I could pay for top surgery in four months just from the money I'd save. Crossing my fingers that your presents say Brennan!
I am so sorry this is happening to you. It's like u r in gender jail. I shared this video with Gender Queer Atheists on FaceBook. Hopefully, some will be around this weekend to give u some props. I respect how hard this is. Do not let depression seduce you. You're too important.

Hmm, time to move maybe? :-/ I mean that's horrible but a change of scenery imo would be really nice.

skylarkeleven made a video with his mom, perhaps you can show that one to your parents, too.

I feel you. It's been a struggle for the last year and half. Coming home is always hard for me.
