tidus should set his attacks mostly his on linking moves the majority of his pottential lies in counter hits so the more garland attacks the easier it should be to hit him. I believe tidus should have been able to finish garland much quicker in this fashion.

Garland: Lay off the brave attacks a bit, try not to attack after being crashed because Tidus has a habit of using his dodge HP attack.

Tidus: Use Full Slide in the air more often to punish rather then Hop Step, use EX mode to guard against attacks for a safe counter and instant EX burst. Besides that just block more often, you had chances if you backed up a bit.

Yes, I'm a BP attack addict. And about my friend's tidus habit yeah, you're right, I've just noticed after replaying some of our old videos. Next time I'll be ready for that.
