  • is it true that this train flotes ?

  • i was born in holland

  • i think maglevs are one of the safest train technology around

  • ¿Como se llama la cancion?

  • DRAMATIC TRAIN!!!

  • It'd be a badass if you jumped right in front of it at max speed

  • the top speed of the transrapid is 500km/h

  • FANTASTICO!

  • boeeeeeeeeee

  • fuck this, the song doesnt come from lord of the rings, it's from the movie Requiem of a dream, one of the most epic movie soundtracks ever made, thus the title of the song: Requiem of a dream

  • SCIENCE, BITCHES. IT WORKS

  • what is the name of the song

  • as the song is called

  • TAKE A LOOK AT "Levitation of light floater" in YouTube to see what you can get out of this tech

  • Maglev train is speed can reach 300Km/h is looks great

  • cool vid

  • what is the point of having a "lavetating" train?

  • @poplol123123 Stability, safety, and a kickass engineering team. Also people in Japan loved this until the tsunami...god bless them all.

  • @Danielkchoi i dont think its is so safe.If something goes wrong with the magnets you will go flying with the train

  • @poplol123123 Actually thats impossible unless something like a jet engine run along side the train pushing it with 20,000+ lbs of force and purposely derails it, there are multiple magnets per square inch of rail, one for alligning, one for moving, one for energy, data, etc, but one of them actually pulls it down so it won't derail without that jet engine I mentioned earlier.

  • COULD YOU SEND ME THE PROJECT? Thank you

  • @u1912856

Due to time constraints no report was made, it was enough to get it to work and understand the used concepts. If you have specific questions you may always ask me (I prefer e-mail).

  • @u1912856

can u send me the project please??

  • The music is by Clint Mansell not Howard Shore. It is the theme from the movie Requiem for a Dream, not The Hobbit. It's not "unreleased" it's from OST published back in 2000.

  • I was thinking the other day, how awesome would it be if you made a mag lev hoverboard. You could attach a cable to the train and "ski" behind it hovering over the rails.

Sure you'd probably die in the process but it would be worth it being named the first person to ride a hoverboard.

  • Epic Train is Epic

  • This is the most interesting video I've ever seen! In a good way :DDD Good job!

  • gay-ass jerky twitch editing.. typical of teenage videographers

  • 0:28 maglev boat

  • Comment removed

  • lol rapplez music

  • wht is the name of the song?????

  • Musique de merde

  • Why not make a charged train and send it down a tunnel similar to SLAC in California? That would be even faster than this Maglev stuff!

  • I'm a fan of these developments in Japan this summit who magnificence

  • @7mod66 this one actually is a german one :)

  • je ne supporte plus cette musique qu'on nous sert à toutes les sauces ...

  • what do you mean looser ,, not informative just some scenes and shots

  • we learned about this in my french class today and this is some cool shit ... i wish american would upgrade amtrak to this magnet train stuff... and yea i said french class.. our teacher is cool.

  • Hi, firstly my congrats for the video, it's very catchy. Secondly, I am an high school italian student and I am doing the same work with a friend of mine for a school project. Do You still have the material You used for Yours? Or do You have any suggestion?

    thanks

  • Fascinated to learn more about the science behind the "pull and push" mechanism that makes it travel so fast. What's cool about trains... making them go faster... "I have the need... the need for speed!"

  • @gowompa315 - do a search on "linear induction motor"

  • hello i want to ask. can i download this video for my project in the school.?

but how can i download this video?

  • @laven1994

Sure. I don't have the original files anymore, so best thing to do is search for "youtube download" or something like that on google, are a few programs which enable you to do this.

  • I TIRED OF THIS MUSIC -_-

  • I'm very impressed with the technology, but I have just one question.

Does this damage electronics? Won't all the electromagnetism fry laptops, iPads, phones? Wouldn't it mess with the electromagnetism of a hard drive and scramble the data?

I'm just saying, because I had a desktop hard drive get scrambled when I put a large speaker(magnet) to close to the case of the desktop.

  • love the song

  • this method reduces track friction, now I have heard of a new concept which enables this system to run at about 4200km/h, it is to run this track through a tube filled with vacuum (with no air in it) this method reduces track friction and air resistance as well so therefore almost no energy is dissipated (lost to surroundings or wasted).

this system is called something like 'TubeJet', u cant really find much evidence on this, it surely sounds efficient and damn fast,

  • this song is so stupid. arghhh after watching that stupid movie, this song really irritates me.

  • US colleges came up with the concept and the US Govt thought it was crap so other Nations of this planet are going to have it in use while we in the US just pat ourself on the back about the "good old days"

  • @rangeclerk yeah it seems all things that actually are innovative they don't like to put into practical use, because oh noes it will cut into my oil money

  • @smasher162 There maybe some truth to that, however the Oil Companies have more influence over Europe & Japan then the US. There is remarkable developments of Maglift in those regions---A Major Problem in the US are the "Left Wing" here who hate anything new and advanced, as they want us to live the way we did in 1880s & the Right Wing which never learned from American History that Federal Funds & laws supporting are needed to assist in new tech dev. They to want the US to live in the 1880s.

  • How can the maglev turn right at 0:52?

  • @MunMarius10

As the MagLev is completely surrounding (for the suspension and propulsion) the track it can't change tracks indeed. So some parts of the track are bendable. Also see:

"The Transrapid vehicle changes tracks using bending switches or transfer tables. They consist of welded steel, multi-span, bending beams with electro-mechanical, rack and pinion drive units mounted on every second support of the bending switch."

  • @USOFEUROPE

    The link:

    monorails.o-r-g/ tmspages/TPTRguid.html

(change o-r-g off course, it won't let me post the link otherwise)

  • ik neem aan dat het een mooie presentatie was, als dit alleen maar een intro was... o_O GOOD JOB

  • ROLLERCOASTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • '

this maglev magnetic can cause eraser people own credit cards, ID drivers, videocamera tapes,,,

    will that happen or not

  • @bestamerica - not if the carriages are sufficiently shielded. And who uses tapes in their camcorders these days? (Although HDDs might be a worry...)

  • JBofBrisbane,

    '

    thank

  • this trians max speed is 581km/h

  • scary music much?

  • Thanks you, Videos very nice,

  • Höchstgeschwindigkeit mach 1...... Evolutionsstufe 5.......

  • wwww

    面白い

  • wow, mooi gedaan!

  • probably looks like a video game from the front

  • does anyone know whats title of the music?

  • @ahmetkaralar1972 Clint Mansell - requiem for a dream

  • fantastico...questo è il futuro ma servono soldi..

  • ah, no, LightTheWay2012, right handed people fix left handed peoples mistakes

  • I have an idea for a super train that rides on one rail and is actually capable of achieving super high speeds (based on my concept) because the technology in the Rail System actually grabs the train electromagnetically and pulls it along.. The secret is in the rail... I don't have it all quite figured out but would invite any help or ideas with my concept... Thanks Michael - Left-Handed people rule!!!

  • @LightTheWay2012 ya but it sucks the world is made for right-handed people. its a hard life

  • I have actually made a scale model of this particular train in Germany, The track is a 2 meter oval and uses over 1 kw of power in just under 10 min! It travels at 200 scale KM and looks very impressive, id put a video up but ive been told not to, id like to see your plans!

  • @LightTheWay2012 - if you're thinking of Linear Induction, that's how the Transrapid and most maglev trains work. Your version sounds more like the linear induction version of a cable car, and is the opposite of most maglevs.

  • awesome! this will help on my own work, thank's!

  • I believe the song was originally from the film Requiem for a Dream. The Kronos Quartet performed the music for the film. Clint Mansel was the composer.

  • could the meg lev train ever derail?

  • music in video great

  • In a university a long time ago a man came up with the idea of magnetic levitation travel. No one wanted to fund his idea it was far to advanced far to futuristic. Afloating train a floating car. Years later a man cleaning in the university found the idea and in resault floating train

  • those that live in las vegas..well a trip to disneyland just got cheaper.....they are building one of those but connecting to Anahein Cal.

  • Cool movie and background sound

  • coooll..!!

  • n the speed of this thing...?

  • maximum around 400 km/h, or 250 miles per hour. If it has to, it can even run a little bit faster, if fully optimized 500 km/h hour (310 m/h) should be doable as well for the real thing.

Compaired to an airplane, it isn't faster in speed, but as you don't have to check-in etc, a magnetic levitation train will be faster than an air plane on short to medium distances. Over 2000 km/h, the train is faster.

  • 270 mph is the highest speed on record

  • that was bad ass man car need to be like

  • eey mooi gemaakt man hoe heet dat liedje??

  • Awesome... Whats the speed of this? How we can make it ?

    Thanks for this video...

  • zweeftrein -

    flying without wings without wheels

  • song name?

  • Requiem for a dream : Howard Shore

  • the name of this song is -requiem for a dream- althoe this part of the song is a little bit in to the song

  • you can check your inbox on this site with the contact details.

  • yes plz help me because i have to submit my project before Tuesday... It is really important for me to win so plz give me tips nd tell me what material would i need to bulid one

  • tips:

    1) keep it simple, keep it working

    2) dont do things you have no knowledge about, see 1

    3) dont invent the wheel multiple times, search for other ideas

Mail me if you want a general building plan on how we build it with our material.

  • what subject is this for?

  • may i know how can i make the maglev train for my science exhibition????

  • sure, though it largely depends on your available amount of resources, and what kind, as well as your budget to see what a feasible solution would be for building your own Maglev.

There are lots of options of how to build one, most students however only research one aspect of the train: either the levitation, propulsion or stabilization. With a small budget, it's impossible to achieve all three techniques.

  • I love the way you put it to gever scientificly and the show gos with the beet

  • cn i hav the name of the music plz? btw nice vid

  • Requiem for a dream: Howard Shore.

  • taa

  • I have been intrigued by this before, but man oh man does this video make me want one, lol. Or at least to ride one that goes 500 mph (if only although there is no limit to speed generated by magnetism accept for current switching technologies)

  • one of the biggest problems was friction due to air. That was only one of the few frictions left. 400/500 mph is already faster than any airplane: not in flight, but the advantage of a train is that you dont have to check-in/out, saving you a couple of hours.

The required infrastructure costs too much though, and railcompanies would rather use existing infrastructure/tracks. Though if the technology reaches a new height (or if airplanes get more expensive (fuelcosts)), it may have a chance.

  • I am just dying to see more efficient and less expensive ways of travel (here in the states). A lot of countries have higher prices; but they do not have to travel as far. My dad for instance commutes an hour and a half just going to work! Maybe in the future he might be forced to take the metro which is only a little less. That is another issue (in the states) public transit is terrible at least in most states.

  • well said

  • song name?

  • clint mansel - requiem for a dream

  • clint mansel - requiem for a dream

  • Requiem for a dream: Howard Shore. Used in the trailer for The Two Towers if I remember correctly, and also used for a trailer for the hobbit.

  • stoer

  • kan je mij dat liedje sturen alsjeblieft? ik kan hem nergens vinden

  • stuur anders een PM met je email erin, stuur ik hem wel. Meende dat Eurosport nu ook het nummer vaak gebruikt voor previews en dergelijke.

  • pm is gestuurd

  • heb hem niet op deze computer staan, vanmiddag krijg je wel het mailtje.

  • ok, dankje en nog de beste wensen voor 2008

  • Dit is echt goed gemonteerd man! Echt heel proffessioneel! Mijn volle complimenten!

  • to bad it aint gonna come cus of the accident in germany

  • maybe it will, normal trains, aircraft, ships have all known their fatal accidents, take the ICE in germany in the 90's, did they cancel the ICE? no they still run if im not mistaking

  • It's got nothing to do with the crash, this is a new train, maglev, and the accident happened on rails. The real reason why it was cancelled was becuase the cost was too high. That's why China has one, imported from Germany, because the Government is rolling in riches.

  • does any one know the name to that song ?

  • Requiem for a Dream, LOTR, Howard Shore.

  • thx

  • sick.

  • I'm in your harbl, polarizing your zweeftrein!
