If you're 13 years old, it is. When you take this hobby seriously, it isn't. Professionals keep their secrets and reveal them for money. If people expect to know them without paying, why would they reveal it? Just look up the DVD and pay for it
1. Don't do too many phases. The spectators looses their interest. Go to Tony Chang's Blog (doublefacerDOTcom) and see his ACR. Perfect length and great patter.
2. The meaning with an ACR is to get the card to the top. Why would it go to the bottom?
1. I don't agree with the opinion that there are too many phases, but I think you should vary them so it looks different to the spectator each time, making it more impossible as you progress through the effect.
2. ACR isn't just limited to the card rising to the top. Some people make it jump to their mouths, or pockets, or it ends up being in a wallet or paperclipped on the table, folded into quarters. Why wouldn't it go to the bottom?
ambitious means the card can go wherever it pleases. you can easily add patter and make it more interesting by making it going to the bottom, or reversed in the middle, or appear in your mouth/wallet/shoe, or being plucked out of the air.
and if you think this has too many phases, see daryl's 8 minute long one. that has a ridiculous amount of phases, and the audience still loves it.
i doubt that in real life he would perform an ACR like this. he would definitely add patter. This is just a demonstration for youtube, as the title says.
People shouldn't limit themselves to the meaning of a word. If ambitious means that you want the card to jump to the top, and you want the card to come to the bottom; why not call it something else? Something other than an ambitious card routine. The name doesn't really matter.
Your an idiot. You are 13 years old trying to critique one of the best magicians in the world (in my opinion) He is very famous especially in Japan, this is Akira Fuji you moron.
Second of all, criticism is the only way to get better. Criticizing one of the best magicians is not forbidden, and you in all means should not stay away from it.

hi akira! You very good at the classic pass, but the first one you did in this video was not a classic. Was it a gravity half pass?
dellus1on 1 year ago
@dellus1on it was a top pass
JzFlourisher 1 year ago
@JzFlourisher Ohh. You mean a "top COVER'' pass?
dellus1on 1 year ago
@dellus1on A gravity half pass does a completely different thing.

If I was riding a bicycle, it wouldn't be more impossible to do it another time.
Ambitious means that it want to come to the top. Why the hell to the bottom.

in response to MortenArborg,
ambitious means the card can go wherever it pleases. you can easily add patter and make it more interesting by making it going to the bottom, or reversed in the middle, or appear in your mouth/wallet/shoe, or being plucked out of the air.
and if you think this has too many phases, see daryl's 8 minute long one. that has a ridiculous amount of phases, and the audience still loves it.

Yeah, but he didn't patter. That is my point!
Daryl's audience was all working at L&L. They HAD to like it.
