I played this game when it first came out, and it was a fun game but it was a bit empty and the quests started to dwindle at later levels. Im thinking ok taking it up again.

I would say wait to buy this game at the moment.. I got my Templar to Lv.40 before I realized there wasn't much going on in this game YET. The exp after 20 is absolutely horrid, you begin to grind a helluva lot, and it just gets really repetative when it comes to PVP. Traveling and dying can be expensive as hell too.. but the next few patches they have coming some time will supposedly fix all these problems. So like I said, wait now and play later for the better game experience..
to be fair you can be educated without speaking more than one language... many surgeons, doctors, key scientists can only speak english... i speak 3 and english is my first language but still... be considerate. he may be smarter than you, just because he doesn't speak one of the lesser known languages doesn't mean he's stupid... calm down.

Well first month of play is free and im pritty sure when you buy a card to pay for your accoutn time only runs off when your playing the game unlike when when as soon as you type in the card password the time starts runing. So say in Aion if you pay for 2 months of play and you happen to go away for 3 months youll still have that 2 months of play from what ive heard anyway.
Though at the moment Aion is lacking a bit of content in big contrast to WoW but i guess we'll see how aion goes, I like it anyways and the concept of it is a bit cooler.
True, WoW is alot older and more developed but what was WoW like when it was just released?
Dunno so im not going to make a biased assumption but in my opinion in graphics and overall gameplay by the time Aion reaches the age WoW is now, it will have probably exceeded it (in comparison to age)

Wich is why im intrested in Aion. I can change the way my gear looks and not have to worrie about the look it hade befor hand. Everyone will look diffrent and it will just make the game that much more exiting when you get a new peice of gear. xD
was checkin this game when i was playing wow and when i "alt tabd" back to wow i couldn't help realizing how much better wow could have been, i mean i looks awful and the gameplay is lousy, the whole game pretty much sucks, and on top of that its Extremely addicting due to the feeling of accomplishment (woho mount at 20 and such) and filled with assholes, who think they are better then you because they have better gear, totally the fact that its just a game and we play it for fun
Quite true, WoW is getting very easy, but no other game can compete with it, and probably won't for a long time, been looking alot at other MMORPG's and nothing even compares with WoW, the raiding, boss fights, PvP all math-matically done for every little detail, there is just no comparison. ;o
Well trust me Aion may not beat it but theyll come verry close i mean i dont realy care if they do or dont but im just sayin verry soon WoW will go to shit.
Next xpack might bring players back but it will lose more... Most people will only come back to see what Blizz have done to the old areas but once theyve seen it i doubt theyll want to play much longer in other words... theyll get bored.
I highly doubt that Cataclysm will have that effect, infact it will be, imo, the best of all the expantions up to yet as it's brining more of the old stuff back, which was the best, and even if it isn't all that great(People on the Beta/PTR thing are saying it is, and it's harder, which is good!) Aion will not get as many players as wow, they may get a good few thousand at most tbh :)

From how the Video's are from 3.3 PTR alone it's alot harder, not just Tank n Spank like alot of bosses. There isn't anything what says it's going to be easyer PVP/PVE wise tbh :)

What I don't get is that Aion lists like... 8 classes, and yet, you can only start off with 4. Where would you get the other classes? o.o;; Do they level up into those types? Or what...
its just like lineage, u start as warrior/mage, then if warrior go rogue/knight, then if rogoue lets say u go archer or assasin. i adored the game untill i found out it had the same enchanting system as Lineage 2, which in short means, DONATORS OWN THE GAME.

Bear in mind the date. The English version has been improved massively over this, and that's saying something. Try the open beta this week if you wan't to check it out before spending cash.
Now I'm not saying Aion is horrible or anything. I didn't try out the beta..I went to Pre-Order the game too late (sucks for me huh?) I actually have high hopes for this game. If you, even then, think that WoW is better with it's really rather childish cartoon graphics (Which are quite outdated, too...) then you must be quite stupid. Even WoW's new expansion won't be able to save them now because NCsoft is releasing like 3 new RPGs. Blade & Soul, AION, Guild Wars 2. All of these will come out in the next year or so. WoW isn't afraid of new uprising mmo's. Since they know that their player base is too great and too attached to their game. Ever since the new expansion came out I've seen alot of wow gamers who were going to switch to aion suddenly repent and go right back to wow. You know why? Because wow has such great content that not much games can compete with. I don't mean great as in vast either, I mean like it draws you in. Also most asian mmo's consist of nothing but grinding..its so monotonous..
Oh, wow. Come on. NCsoft is so much better than Blizzard when it comes out to RPG's...I mean, if there's people that prefer RUNESCAPE over WoW, then there's a problem. Since Guild Wars has already been seen by many to better than WoW, then it's no contest that Guild Wars 2 will end the competition. Better graphics, gameplay, new races, classes, etc. The new WoW expansion is corny. I mean, wow. There's a bid, bad dragon that roasted half of Azeroth. So what?

I played WoW from beta (classic) to Wotlk.
The endgame of WoW is since the expansions (TBC, WOTLK) boaring.
and the new expansion won´t be different.
the game becomes too easy, and the PvP server are like pve servers (just with stupid names and more complaining)
i dont think that i will come back with cataclysm.
I wanna play aion, but the game (the acc) are too expensive.

Couldn't agree more. Im trying to keep the faith with blizz but they are losing me. with each new shitty looking armor set, which looks like the last, and the one before that; just different color :(

Wich is why im intrested in Aion. I can change the way my gear looks and not have to worrie about the look it hade befor hand. Everyone will look diffrent and it will just make the game that much more exiting when you get a new peice of gear. xD

was checkin this game when i was playing wow and when i "alt tabd" back to wow i couldn't help realizing how much better wow could have been, i mean i looks awful and the gameplay is lousy, the whole game pretty much sucks, and on top of that its Extremely addicting due to the feeling of accomplishment (woho mount at 20 and such) and filled with assholes, who think they are better then you because they have better gear, totally the fact that its just a game and we play it for fun

Quite true, WoW is getting very easy, but no other game can compete with it, and probably won't for a long time, been looking alot at other MMORPG's and nothing even compares with WoW, the raiding, boss fights, PvP all math-matically done for every little detail, there is just no comparison. ;o

Well trust me Aion may not beat it but theyll come verry close i mean i dont realy care if they do or dont but im just sayin verry soon WoW will go to shit.
Next xpack might bring players back but it will lose more... Most people will only come back to see what Blizz have done to the old areas but once theyve seen it i doubt theyll want to play much longer in other words... theyll get bored.

I highly doubt that Cataclysm will have that effect, infact it will be, imo, the best of all the expantions up to yet as it's brining more of the old stuff back, which was the best, and even if it isn't all that great(People on the Beta/PTR thing are saying it is, and it's harder, which is good!) Aion will not get as many players as wow, they may get a good few thousand at most tbh :)

From how the Video's are from 3.3 PTR alone it's alot harder, not just Tank n Spank like alot of bosses. There isn't anything what says it's going to be easyer PVP/PVE wise tbh :)

hehe, at least if i am a nerd i know more than you ^-^, I don't really care to be honest. I started off with a free MMO it got me into online games, and plus I would of never found this one. why people keep biting each others heads off. Its just a game.Some people on the net nowadays need to go outside for once. You do realise gaming addiction is bad for you? ^-^, this game is good in some people's oppinions so get over it.
Aion is my next online game and I like it so live with it.

at lvl 10 you can specialize your class into 2 other, more specific classes... so every class splits up in 2. 4x2=8 ;3

its just like lineage, u start as warrior/mage, then if warrior go rogue/knight, then if rogoue lets say u go archer or assasin. i adored the game untill i found out it had the same enchanting system as Lineage 2, which in short means, DONATORS OWN THE GAME.

Now I'm not saying Aion is horrible or anything. I didn't try out the beta..I went to Pre-Order the game too late (sucks for me huh?) I actually have high hopes for this game. I just don't think it will be a wow killer. I'm not too certain anything will be a wow killer. But I do really want a new mmo, wow has just not given me what I've wanted ever since BC. Difficulty..I remember when you had to get a key just to get dung..now its just go in kill, loot, get geared done..sit in org do nothing.

blizzard IS afraid,thats why they announced their new expansion one month before aion's release...why would they announce the next expansion if wotlk isnt over yet? (icecrown citadel patch isnt released yet) because they know alot of their subscribers will prefer to go playing aion,rather than playing their nerfed and dumb game,especialy after that controversed patch with the new completly stupid,emblem of conquest system,another mojor nerf to a game already too much nerfed.

please, wow doesnt need the expansion to make more money than aion, wow has too large of a player base, alot of which are casual gamers and cant play hardcore like the older player base did, aion may attract some wow gamers, but all in all everyone one said warhammer would kill wow, wow still remains defending champ and my money is always on blizzard for all the bones!

Emochka, have you seen the newer videos for AION? Not the "Tower of Eternity", but just AION. If you, even then, think that WoW is better with it's really rather childish cartoon graphics (Which are quite outdated, too...) then you must be quite stupid. Even WoW's new expansion won't be able to save them now because NCsoft is releasing like 3 new RPGs. Blade & Soul, AION, Guild Wars 2. All of these will come out in the next year or so. WoW doesn't stand a chance.

The only 2 reasons you can provide for why Aion is better is that wow has rather childish graphics (I agree), and that NCsoft is coming out with 3 new games that people will have to buy. Its much cheaper just to stay playing wow then -.-..Now let me reiterate WoW has more casual players so thats what they aim for. Even if it means neglecting the hardcore players. How is WoW cheaper than any of the RPGs that NCsoft is releasing? HERE is one of NCsoft's advantages. Guild Wars 2, their most anticipated game, is gonna follow the system of BUY IT ONCE THEN PLAY FREE. WoW is $14.99 USD a month, (more or less) which is the same price that AION will be charging. WoW isn't afraid of new uprising mmo's. Since they know that their player base is too great and too attached to their game. Ever since the new expansion came out I've seen alot of wow gamers who were going to switch to aion suddenly repent and go right back to wow. You know why? Because wow has such great content that not much games can compete with. I don't mean great as in vast either, I mean like it draws you in. Also most asian mmo's consist of nothing but grinding..its so monotonous..

Oh, wow. Come on. NCsoft is so much better than Blizzard when it comes out to RPG's...I mean, if there's people that prefer RUNESCAPE over WoW, then there's a problem. Since Guild Wars has already been seen by many to better than WoW, then it's no contest that Guild Wars 2 will end the competition.
