@mafew129 I think it's just a special slide guitar capo, don't think it's raising the strings at all (if it's the metal bar at ~3rd fret you're thinking about). Not sure though...
can anyone say me what the hell he has in his left hand when he play... is something like roundglass??? or what? sorry...im not a guitarist than a beginner so... HELP ME PLEASE BECAME A SLIDERNEWSIDERBLUESMAN :-)
if some one has some link of a online shop to buy that is appreciated! harry you have SOUL POWER! i can feel it!
@claudioaloe - He uses a metal bar for the slide, players use metal or glass depending on the sound they want. This is just good slide guitar blues .... open tuning, I have talked with Haryy Manx he uses over 70 different open tunings ...
@claudioaloe its a slide, not a bottle slide like Duane Allman but like a slide you would play on Dobro. It doesn't slide around your finger though, so you got to play the guitar over your lap, like a Dobro.
@VioletGiraffe Harry Manx actually spent 5 yrs in India learning the Mohan Vina, which is the basis of his lap style technique. Colour doesn't come into the equation...certainly not for Harry anyway.
@VioletGiraffe Those are not facts. Your opinion is not based on facts.
What is a fact is that there is NO colour in music. Music is based on feelings, NOT ego, intellectuality, pride or politics. Music is one of the only non-judgemental forms of art in this World..now let's keep it that way.
anyone who says theres a second track obviously doesnt know the beauty of the acoustic guitar. It can be as much a drum as anything eles. Hell yeah to solo acoustic players, Keep the faith!
Guess you haven't had the pleasure of seeing him live - he is authentic and you are incorrect about the second track - he makes all the music with his single guitar - watch again and listen better!!!
@fengsel I play with him. That's what he does. If you watch the right hand, he uses Thumb for the bass notes, and then the other fingers for the rhythm.
It's actually high praise that you think there is a recorded track.
I saw harry play last night at the request of my music teacher. Simply incredible. I had the opportunity to meet him after the show. He was both polite and humble.
This is first rate. Manx's guitar playing is deceptively simple; in fact it takes great craft and control to play a driving blues like this, and his singing is even better. Please, sir, I want some more.
The 2nd microphone is put weirdly, it seems to be pointing the side of the guitar, but sounds good heh

True, but there is quite a persistent stereotype, so I felt I should point to it being wrong.
VioletGiraffe 6 months ago
@VioletGiraffe The stereotype is in peoples heads. The same way the line of defense is in yours. There is NOTHING to defend.
Music is a universal language not a means to develop paranoia.

The raga influence isn't in this tune so much as some of his other material, he mixes the styles in varying quantities.

There's a second track with rhythm guitar, no doubt. Nothing wrong with that of course, but why pretend? Great song though
