  • I luv how he returns to "Flynns" this such a great scene cus it kinda brings it all bk, that nostalgia feel.

  • This is such a heart warming scene. But it almost makes me sad to see all the arcade games being all wrapped up in plastic :(

  • btw, how can anyone NOT know the second song? 0.o why even ask?

  • I want that Tron arcade

  • And not a single dislike was given that day. Makes me happy

  • GOD i loved this scene, esp with he turns on the power, and world apart starts playing, along with the arcade machines sound effects... it took me back, like everyone else who loves arcade games, and the 80's, thanks so much for the upload, a classic scene for any1 who loved the arcade culture in the 80's

  • whatever happened to arcades? Fuck you Xbox and Playstation

  • @tswagg50 cant u afford them LOL

  • @tswagg504 of course, but going to the arcade was funner than sitting on a couch playing against a bunch of people you've never met in your life. You would have had to been born in the 70's of 80s to understand

  • @tswagg504 Kids from the late 60's get it too.

  • WTB 80s music.

  • 0:38 made me misty-eyed for my '80s childhood...literally.

  • :'(

ya... aracade huh? 27 years old and rich and single? Ya I would of done the samething. Live in a conex.

  • what's the first song?

  • Tron was a good film, but they didn't make it like the best they could of you know?

  • BEST PART OF THE WHOLE MOVIE THE REST IS TOTAL SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Who else was bumpin when Sweet Dreams came on.

  • hha the second song is called sweet dreams

  • what song is that on the first starting?

  • @AtaTheArchitect Dude are you fucking reading other comments?!

  • @halofanteam cmon man..

  • What song is this? Really cool

  • @Anndi84 the song that was played while he was at the arcades is "Separate Ways" By Journey and the one played when he was walking down the stairs is "Sweet Dreams" by Eurythmics.

  • why dont they make songs like this anymore? :(

  • @ DarkPrinceNH5570: the original TRON came out in 1982 I think. I haven't seen it but I've seen the trailer for it & it looks really good! Jeff Bridges is in that one too :)

  • @vsloan01 The original TRON was awesome, and yes, it came out in 1982... with a way younger and different Jeff Bridges and Bruce Boxleitner.

  • Who knew Flynn's Arcade would end like this after 20 years. Kevin hasn't been there for awhile since the day he helped Tron defeat the MCP and Sark.

  • you can create a video game consoles with motions sensors, touchscreens, 3D graphics,

but you can beat a good-old-sweet arcade game saloon

  • This is one of my favorite scenes in the whole movie! :)

  • THIS is why we should bring back the arcades of old.

  • There's the old Tron arcade game that was in that scene.

  • getting movie for Christmas like a boss.

  • I only want to see this movie because this song is in the movie.

  • name of the song pls

  • @nsurya98 Journey-Separate Ways lol i said the same thing in the theaters haha

  • @ldrz1 thankz a lot are you there in facebook if there pls send a request my name is surya narayana photo is a guy on a ladder

  • The echo effect of this scene was fucking epic.

  • whats the song after "Separate Ways"

  • @afroRuben01 The song after separate ways is Sweet Dreams.

  • @Twixx415 thank you :)

  • Can't decide - Tron or Avatar? Which is better?

  • @imrandma Tron all the way

  • The arcade scene is pumping. Got goose bumps as soon as the music came on. Now I know what the song was. In Tron the whole scene blended together beautifully! Great movie and effects too. Awesome.

  • So did Kevin Flynn die or become one with the system when he formatted/destroyed Clu..

  • Since Sam Flynn opened the doors and turned on the lights and the video games came back to life at his father's arcade, it would be nice to have visitors piling in like from the 1980s era. Flynn's Arcade should be back in business.

  • There's just something I don't get. How does that computer was turned on for 20 years???

  • what is the second song playing.

  • @megaawsome77 Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) by the Eurythmics.

  • @Aku603 thanks

  • Song = journey - separate ways. One of my favy films :D!

  • When sam found the secret passage...for a moment I thought he will find his father´s bones...LOL

  • this scene made the movie 100 times better

  • I'm glad that I was born in the late 80's, to experiance a piece of it.

  • Over 33K views and not a single dislike...I'm very proud of this scene, it's my favorite of like 500 movies

  • My favorite decade in a whole arcade. Makes me feel happy i'm an 80s kid.

  • 2:25 heard that on the radio a few mins ago...lol XD

  • @BenJabituya I didn't know you have all of those systems? I used to have a Game Gear, but it broke down. Do all of your systems still work?

  • 0:16 - I thought I heard a Mario Jump sound when Sam opened the door to the arcade.

  • @BenJabituya haha i heard a one up from mario

  • @williejenkins666 or else, FREE PLAY!!

  • I like this scene a lot. My favorite scene part is when Sam finds his dad's secret work area and uses the special type of computer to get into The Grid. When the laser gets Sam into the game, I like how it happens. I also have the movie.

  • @Timsonicboom88 That's the old Master Control Program.

  • 3:27 I like how it's like years:months:days:hours:minutes:seconds

  • whats the song called

  • 1:41 - 1:45 "insert quarter gets REJECTED, pick it up don't waste ur quarter" :D

  • @gritynity Free Play!

  • @BenJabituya what's free play

  • @gritynity "Free Play" is no coins needed.

  • @BenJabituya k thx :)

  • what's the name of the 1st song played in this scene???

  • Do you know what flashlight's he using ?

  • wats the song track at 2:26-3:33

  • @MrSoulEatta sweet dreams by eurythmics, you might wanna check out the marilyn manson cover as well

  • the dude turns the electricity back on and 'separate ways' starts playing. that moment was priceless man. along with the arcade machines and the apperance of the place, that brought back many memories. i almost shed tears of happiness. good old times man, good old times.

  • @mommywhereisdaddy Oh so you seen the original?

What year did it come out?

Ya TRONs still here. NEO type this time!!! Glad you liked it!

  • Love the music...

  • *inhales* ahhhhh smells like 1989

  • i am not gay but can someone atleast admit that garret Hedlund is the most handsome actor against taylor lautner and robert pattinson? im serious cuz he is into his roles better while the others just try looking good. my opinion is that he doesntcare bout his looks and he just cares of his skill for acting

  • @harryosbournez. you must be gay to be thinking that.. i mean why do you even care about his look? you must be a girl then.. ;P

  • @DonChilenito dude if i stated clearly im not gay and that i have had crushes on girls than im not gay. i am one of the very few boys in my class and girls always complain about who is ''hotter'' or shit like that. my sis hates twilight cuz she hates the actors, same with my ma and the fact that you take it immaturely to state a guy lookin handsome. for instance. ive heard alot of guys saying johnny depp is a handsome guy and yet they are married. So i would say you are takin this immaturely

  • 20 years 11 months 20 days 16 hours 22 minutes 15 seconds 29 milli-seconds

  • Seriously what song is being played in the arcade? Anyone who knows plz reply

  • The song makes it so much more intense.

  • for everyone the song is journey - worlds apart

  • what song is that?

  • @famousdude6 are you kidding me... You dont know what song that is?! Journey bro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wozniak has a resemblance to Tesla; Wozniak job 4 days straight to create the breakout, something little recognized.

  • Flynn´s is Steve Jobs.

  • @jorabe2004 except I bet Flynn would have paid Steve Wozniak when he did all the work designing the Breakout arcade machine.

  • Kind of amazing how the games just came on without having to boot and check their ROMs ;)

  • I like how they made this scene feel in a way like Sam was stepping into some ancient, powerful and revered monument or temple

  • @nervmeister

continued: It's kind of like in Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time when Link is walking down the great hall of the Temple of Time, getting ready to make the trip into the future.

  • Born in 1973 I was truly a kid of the 80's. Someone did their homework right for this scene. I remember listening to Journey "On Vinyl"!!! Summer of 82'. Going to the local arcade "The Showboat & Malibu Grand Prix" with my older cousin was a big part of growing up in the 80's. To bad places like this don't exist anymore. There should be a throw back. Favorite game of all time was "Tempest".

  • did anyone else think sam was hot? O3O

  • @icywolf451 Duuuh!! :)

  • 20:11:20:16:22:15:29. 7 numbers. Anyone know how long that is?

  • @machiner6 counter date: 20 (years):11 (months): 20 days.

  • I wish I was in THIS very scene with a sackful of quarters!

  • @BenJabituya IF only that TRON machine could work.

  • one of the coolest scenes EVER in any movie....

  • The TRON version of "Separate Ways". The lyrics would be like this:

"Someday, Tron will find you. De-rezz bits that bind you. One night will remind you of playing all those games in Flynn's arcade. If Sark ever hurts you, Bit will not desert you, You know I still love to be playing all those games in Flynn's arcade."

  • @BenJabituya how old was the boy in 1989

  • @darrinstampe I think he was 12.

  • I was born in the early 80s, but it would have been better to experience the 80s as a young adult

  • This is my favorite scene too. I also got goose pimples the first time I saw it!

  • Well i'm 22 and i consider my self an 80's KID ! ( 1989 ) ! fook the 90's nothing good about it :P

  • hey whats the song when sams goin down the stairs after the tron machine shuts?

  • @TidalMAz Eurythmics - Sweet Dreams

  • 495: Last_will_and_testament.txt. No surprise there!

  • Watching this scene was like being teleported back to the 1980's when I was a kid. I'm glad this scene was in the movie. My favorite part of the whole film.

  • Really GOOD!!

  • O.K I've watched this clip three times in a row and am still not bored of it .. If that isn't a sign of a fantastic clip then I don't know what is.

  • Did they play this song in the first movie on the original theater release prints? I know the original just released on dvd and the arcade scene didn't have the journey song or Sweet Dreams.

  • @RASOOL28 Yeah they were in the theatrical version.

  • @NewGenGamers Oh, so they played it in the theater version but eliminated it for the dvd release?

  • @RASOOL28 Well I didn't see it in theater, I watched on DVD the first time, and I remember both songs being there.

  • I was in high school in the 80s, so I guess that was the ultimate. I remember when all of the 80s stuff was new release. At the time, we took all of those great bands and songs for granted. That was all we knew and that was just how music was. Little did we know, music wouldn't always be that good and future bands wouldn't continue rocking like that. Now we look back and say, "Holy shit! Our era was hella cool!"

  • miss the '80s...used to play the Tron arcade game...

  • Thanks for the upload! Love the username, too! Hackers fan?

  • this is true cinema. People now a days just don't appreciate is as they use to.

  • One question: Why didn't Yori's system become a reality instead of being just something Kevin Flynn used to enter/exit the Grid? What a world that would have been-instant transport to and from someplace!

  • When I saw this scene and I listened the song, I just jumped out from the chair in the theatre! and congratulations to the sound editor: AMAZING JOB!

  • whats the song called?

  • @Minecraftincolor "Separate Ways" by Journey, followed by "Sweet Dreams" by Eurythmics.

  • jizzed my pants when journey came one!!!

  • Sepearate ways (journey song) is a nod to the Journey song playing in the First version of FLYNN'S arcade.

  • I love the 80's even tho I was only 7 months of it XD "sweet dreams are made of these"

  • @iloveblondy

    I'm 21, and while i consider myself a 90s kid, I'm in love with the 80s. I felt nostalgic for a time that i wasn't even a part of

  • @DarthScorpio11 me 2 bro im 15 and i love 80s music

  • @DarthScorpio11 word, this song is sick

  • @DarthScorpio11

As a person that was born in 87', I like the 80's as well. Even though I didn't fully live in that era I still somewhat experienced it. The early 1990's was still in the 80's like time.

  • 0:38 WHAT IS THE NAME OF THIS SONG???

  • @Vahvel123 Separate Ways by Journey

  • what is the name of that second song?

  • @gck86 the second song is Eurythmics - Sweet Dreams

  • @gck86 Sweet Dreams by Annie Lennox

  • WHAT IS THE NAME OF THAT FIRST SONG???

  • Seperate ways from Journey I wish I coulda seen them in St.Paul Mn :(

  • still my favorite movie scene of the year

  • @mnuper The music is Separate Ways (Worlds Apart) from Journey

  • @bonovoxpacheco96 thanks so much :)

  • what is the name of that song!!!

  • Hear all the classics there. Pac man, Donkey Kong, Pole Position.

  • @MRW2276, Defender, Spy Hunter, Mario Bros.,, VS Super Mario Bros., Track & Field, Gauntlet, Hard Drivin', Route 16, Mortal Kombat. I wonder if that arcade had Zaxxon, Hang-On, OutRun, Space Harrier, Congo Bongo, After Burner, GORF, Space Invaders, Ms. Pac-Man, and VS Castlevania.

  • I think this bit of the movie was one of my favorites. The song goes well with the scene

  • @finalfantasy696969 It's a nod to the original arcade scene which also had a Journey tune playing in the background.

  • This film felt very 80's even though everything about it is technically well above anything from the 80's. I think the synth score and little nods like the journey song really get you into the movie. It just should have been much shorter maybe an hour and a half and make it more action oriented rather than techno psycho babble.

  • whats is the song that comes up on as he turns on the power?

  • @branden959 journey - separate ways

  • The Arc Wars cabinet is playing "MORTAL KOMBAT"!

  • @BenJabituya Where!? Where!? What's the time code? Must see!

  • This scene makes me wish I was at Flynn's arcade with a sackful of quarters!

  • the songs sound different due to bass levels thats all.

  • iloved when the played sepasrete ways

  • tripple thumbs up (LOL) if you want a tron 2 sooo much

  • he is sexy. but not as sexy as his dad in the original one.... oh my goodnesss

  • i love how he remembered a flash light... i wouldnt have xl

    lol

btw ppl, if you didnt see the original movie "TRON" the "TRON: Legacy" movie doesn't make a bit of sense..

you can look up the original one and watch it for FREE. seriously.

  • i love how he remembered a flash light... i wouldnt have xl

    lol

  • nice sound track

  • I love the look on his face @4:23 like "ohh... why not" haha little does he know :p

  • like the song lol sweet dream, like the movie

  • Luigi 0:43

  • For all old timers in the theater when I went to see it,this was the best scene. The rest of the movie is an snoozefest,

  • Epic))!!

  • Iv never of the band eurythmics, but journy is AWSOME!

  • my favorite scene

  • gah! that rock song that starts playing sounds awfully like a song on nazi zombies =\

  • why are so many people asking what songs are those? I knew both those songs (and love both those songs) and im only 15!

  • :O

I remember this scene and song from Tron now! :O :DDD

  • even has a jukebox!
