Remove Water Marks/Stains from Granite Countertops

If the countertop is not that old, you should have a waranty on the work, at least a year.

and if the stains keep happening, you might want to ask them to come back and seal it properly.

@ogabychita I bought the counter top at Home Depot...installed it ourselves so noone is coming to our house to seal it again...that's the price you pay for doing it yourself. It was cheap enough that if this gets really ruined I'll just buy something else. It's hard water that's ruining my granite. I don't think any sealant is going to help my hard water problem...unfortunately everyone thinks that I have to reseal it...I might have to this yr but I'll worry about ti then. Thx!

viniger is corrosive to stone and concrete not a good idea try consulting the company you bought the countertop from im pretty sure the water is reacting with the sealer used on your countertop

@TheJefferyjones The stains are from hard water that I have and it's on the top layer of the granite. In order to get it off the vinegar removes it. Doesn't seem to be stripping the sealant. I don't let the vinegar sit on the granite for too long. I spray and rub it into the water marks. I do understand your concern and I thank you for telling me. Thats why I say to test this out before using it on your own.

your granite needs resealing and it will stain more now you have vinigar in it as it will strip the sealant
