  • He destroyed the cargo robot...AND THE CARGO WAS PEOPLE!

  • The sad thing is that it took me this long to find someone that knew this when I watched that episode. Man... I sigh happily tonight. I feel less alone.

  • In 1989 there was a japanese show called kimba the white lion new adventures yes it was kind of violent but it was more for teens in stead of kids

  • For the love of God, if youre going to call yourself a nerd, learn how to pronounce things.

    Its "SAY-yin" not "Sai-YAN" and "SAI-ba-men" not "Sai-BY-man"

Dragonball Z is NOT a animated adaptation of the Dragonball manga with a new name. Its the animated SEQUEL to Dragonball with its OWN name.

Dragonball started when Goku was 12, and ended when he beat Piccolo in the world Martial arts tournament and married Chichi at age 20.

Dragonball Z starts 6 years AFTER the end of Dragonball.

  • @omegagamer89 On the Internet, it's often quite hard to pin down a person's tone, so if you're being tongue in cheek with that statement then good job. That was really funny and a perfect imitation of the kinds of poorly-educated fans who make me want to vomit. ^_^

  • @MistareFusion Yeah. It's fine not to know things, but to be so sure of what you don't know so as to make fun of people who have the correct information, without even daring to look it up? It is hilarious.

Note to omegagamer: I'm agreeing with MF, not you.

  • @omegagamer89 The later part of Dragonball Z takes place 7 years after the defeat of Cell. What's your point?

The Manga does not differentiate between the two. He is correct that is was renamed and represented as a sequel most likely to avoid confusion and outline the change in tone after he's an adult.

  • @omegagamer89 Do some research before you criticize someone so you don't sound like a complete idiot.

  • @omegagamer89 Incorrect. Only the US release split the manga in to 2 separete parts. The original work is named Dragonball and starts with Goku and Bulma setting off to find the dragonballs and ends with Buss defeat.

The anime also adapted that switch of the manga for the western market making a separate name for the second half. So its not a sequel its just the normal continuation with a different name. Kinda like Naruto is doing with Shuippuuden.

  • Dang man, this is actually pretty interesting. Awesome that you noticed that.

  • 2:43

"The villainous Scions"?! Evil Toyotas? They must be the ones that everybody was freaking out about last year!

Actually, your pronunciation is probably closer to the original Japanese, but it still made me do a double take. XD

  • @TBustah Actually, the original Japanese pronunciation was "SAY-a-jin"

  • @omegagamer89 Whatever bro, I was just making a stupid pun.

  • @TBustah Don't worry. I appreciated your pun. And also, he doesn't appear to have the slightest idea what he's talking about. =P

  • @omegagamer89

No, the original pronunciation was "SAI-a-jin"

  • That was awesome.

  • wow thats sooo funny ;) love your VIDEO ;)) LOVE DB and Star Trek !!!

  • aah vegeta i'm cuddling it

    it's dead nappa

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • Wow this is unbelievably nerdy, but interesting. I'll be sure to look out for that when I'm watching DBZ again.

  • No squeaky chair = FAIL.

  • Get with the times! There hasn't been a squeaky chair since last April! In fact, I think I threw out that chair in my move! Maybe you should start a "Bring Back the Squeaky Chair" petition, and maybe I'll consider it...

  • Incredible! More of this, Gaffer!

  • "What does Kami-sama need with a starship?"

  • In all my time doing videos (which granted isn't too terribly long), this comment wins by far.

  • @Sesshomikers he needs to go to Namek

  • I never notice that.

  • I don't know why, but I find Cha-La *very* distracting there. Also, hooray for trivia!

  • Ooh, really? Was it too loud? I tried to turn it down as low as I thought necessary. Actually, this was one of my few attempts at an encode where the music didn't skip at some point, so I was thrilled over it. Thanks, as always, for the feedback.

  • Maybe it's because I know the song so well that it was distracting. It wasn't TOO loud, but it didn't seem to fit. I'm picky.

  • Haha, fair enough, but in my defense, I pose to you this question: after using the theatrical Star Trek theme for the Star Trek portion of the video, what piece of music better fits the DBZ portion than the DBZ theme?

  • The Cha-La episode preview piece, I think.

  • Geez, why did I know you were going to say that? Haha, and it would have required less work on my part too, since, as you remember, I used that on my Dragon Box review video and therefore already had it at my disposal.

  • What's done is done I guess. I just think the even more upbeat version of the preview music would fit the silly Yajirobe moment.

  • Haha, my only concern is that my roommate will read this, and, as she hates Cha-La in the first place, will become unbearably smug in regards to this out of spite!

  • haha. So how goes the other videos, if any?

  • I'm thinking I might give another try to that G.I. Joe footage I gave up on several months ago. And then I'll have to get around to Wonder Woman Part 2. And THEN I think I'll do a series on the first Batman serial.

  • @MistareFusion

How can ANYONE hate Cha-La Head Cha-La?

  • @Sesshomikers I NO RITE!?
