I knew a guy years ago who had a truck tire explode in his face. Shattered lots of facial bones and his jaw was wired for a few weeks as his broken jaw healed. He was a trombone player. That shut him up for a few months. He did eventually start playing again. Has some facial scars left too. Lucky to be alive. Use your tire cages. Otherwise you may end up playing the trombone. That would suck.

Our tyreshop guy said a lorrie tyre exploded in he´s face when he got
just 3 bars of air into it. It was supposed to be 7.5 in the end.
He got a real knockout and he´s glasses got a flight to the other end of the shop. Imagine a blowup with 7.5....
He said that he never inflates used tyres without he´s cage anymore.
