Marriage consists of both legal and religious marriage, which exist independently of each other. Your video only covered religious marriage.
Furthermore, if you believe in religious freedom, then you should also believe in people's right to get married within their own religion (or do whatever else they want to do within it, provided it is legal/not affecting you).
Finally, the OT sanctions polygamy and marriage's definition has changed repeatedly throughout history.
You have addressed part of the issue: whether or not to "marry" homosexual couples. The bigger issue is the call to a holy life, the inward transformation brought by the Holy Ghost. What you said is true: "All have sinned." The bigger question is "Are we called to a life of sin?" (We are not.) Regeneration and sanctification make us holy. Scripture and Tradition are clear that homosexuality is not holy. Virginity, Marriage and Celibacy are holy. Sexualities outside these parameters are not.
I am a straight man, and I consider myself a very traditional high church "Anglo-Catholic." On the homosexuality marriage question, here is the compromise one can make on this issue. Legalize same sex marriage, but leave the choice of any denomination the discretion to consider it valid or not, but in larger society, allow same sex couples the rights of marriage. In other words, legalize gay marriage, but do not punish traditionalist that may have problems on homosexuality.
The Liturgy is the reality of Heaven & Earth interpenetrating. This is the Sublime-MYSTERY of Christ(the anointed) Son of God uniting all of us in the Great-Feast of the Incarnate-Mystery,The Logos(the Word) made flesh. From a feed-troft 4 animals (a manger)the Bread of Life humbly begins to unite us all through our-humanity to his Divinity.Inebriating us all with the Joy of Absolute-pre-created LOVE entering into time & space to bring us all back to our real Home above all confusion & sadness.
Thank you for your sincere answer.Very often Christians are not so nice. Each of us lives with who-what we are from birth till death.St.Paul rarely spoke in the first-person"I" but when he did he created a masterpiece of introspection.(1 Corinthians13:1-13) I am sure that you are familiar with this passage of St.Paul.Because he puts the pre-eminent essence of God's Being & our Search for becoming at the very center of his-journey-within.Thanks for having the guts to address the question ,prayer4u
