  • I think the ceramics are based on borosilicate glass. Actual SAPI plates are hard and strong. Perhaps powdered borosilicate in epoxy sintered under great preasure between carbon fiber or kevlar layers would be cheap enough and actualy work.

  • $1000 to $5000 where the hell do you shop lol? the police supply shop in my area has vests for like $300 - 500.....

  • Mythbusters used ceramic tiles like that and were successful with bulletproofing. Start watching the show.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA! "ohhhww.. yeah i guess it don't work. don't do that" End. lol it may not work but i still like this video. that was funny. lol

  • This idea is even worse than a " jump to conclusions mat". At least come up with somthing useful, like the pet rock. I mean that guy made a million dollars.

  • you took the dr pepper i just bought to shoot it? jerk lol

  • @RachelxRenee - damn this chick is cute

  • ودماء المتروك تصلي

  • why even post the video if you know it doesn't work.

  • @masonnf1 - because people would still say no, i think it would work.

  • this would never work ever for anything.

  • It would be a lot better if you double layer it using epoxy glue. Then even if it cracks, the glue would hold it together a little more, lessening the chance that your own "armor" becomes shrapnel lodged in your body..

  • can you put it on a baby?

  • @TheNkui - rothflmfao

  • fuckin stupid

  • Luke, thanks for posting this informative video. Quick question. Do you think this vest can stop a 180 grain .308 Winchester round and where is the best place to bury dead hookers? Thanks and god bless.

  • @aFullPoopSack - dead hooker? i usually only bury live ones. sorry bro

  • This reminds me, I want to know how bullet proof cornstartch and water mixture is...it's a non-newtonian fluid...it behaves much like a solid when struck with sudden force.

  • What a fucking idiot. A vest and 1/4 inch steel plate. To heavy? Man up.

  • lolol....ya I guess that don't work....don't do dat...

  • that pore coke.

  • It probably didn't work because you were using glass tiles not thick ceramic ones, plus I would put two layers of the sample sheets

  • you can get a nice LvL IIIA vest for $250 . police sell them when the warrany is past 5 years and civilian market gets flooded with em. Great thing about 2011.

  • cool man

will be using it in the revolution here in egypt

    hope it works

i really don't want to get shot

  • $1000 mate! bullet proof vest only cost around 100 $ or £. even on eBay you can get one for just £100

  • @jordan16195 - thats pretty kewl, do it up brotha. im just saying in the future when shit goes to hell. maybe you cant shop for one?

  • Poor Coke Bottle :(

  • @santuka18 - no coke was harmed in the making of this video, except the bit i snorted off the dead hookers body after i filmed it. thank you

  • @LukeWhitaker Haha nice :P

  • Armor carriers cost 200 bucks. The ceramic plates are another 300 bucks for a level IV oversized plate... not too shabby. Bulletproofmedotcom.

  • @TheUnNerved - in MADMAX times? are you gonna be the good guys or bad guys?

  • @LukeWhitaker Neither. Just stay outta my way.

  • THAT EVEN DOESENT SLOW THE BULLET_::::

  • @Apocaalyp - i think in some wierd way, it actually speeds the bullet up.

  • dumbass doesn't even know how much a plate carrier cost

  • @carlosolvera213 - i am pretty sure a plate carrier or a cupboard, goes for $50-$300 unless you get a armoire then you looking for things to hold fine china, they could run in the thousands. what kind of dishes do you have?

  • dont trust him i tried that and then got shot it dosent work

  • @johnhitchma - agreed

  • the end was great...tht doesnt work yeah dont do that lol

  • ohh.. Yeah i guess it dont work!.. dont do that.. LMFFAAAAOOOOOOOO

  • wow da first attempt fooled me of beleiving dat it will work

  • @ericjohnny - lmao i hope you didnt rush to make one.

  • @LukeWhitaker i waz actually about to make one soon

  • funny if shortened to 30 seconds

  • @8LionMyth8 - it probabley still wouldnt be bro. lol

  • pretyy fucking expensive why dont you just go and order somewhere like ebay a NIJ class 3 bullet proof which has ceramic plates that will protect you from 7,62 round just for 500?

  • @Lapinmiez - i guess this is more, for like. . .. . . the shit has already hit the fan? you dont have maybe time or money to do the whole shop around deal. You can find these items laying about in 45% of homes.

  • level 2 safariland vest --- $100 + 20 for shipping; (ebay); came with 5x8 trauma insert, plus ordered a 5x8 hardened steel plate for another 25 bucks from another ebayer... so less than 150 for a real vest that will stop 9mm & .357

  • @silenthunder85 - crazy cheap duder

  • Gas bottle in background. LOL

  • PEACEFULL DEMONSTRATIONS ? the Bahrainis are kidding themselves and making us believe this

  • Hey, thanx a million, we need it now in my country (Bahrain-Persian Gulf), the Government is using the Army, the police gurads, and army from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Oman n Qatar, to shot n kill peacfull demonstrators.

  • 375 dollars on cheaperthandirt dumbass

  • @douglas8500 - sounds reasonable

  • lol why is my wind chime running away

  • @tankboy584 - roflmao perfection

  • you forgot to grout!

  • perfect for hardball war!

  • 400 on line if you look a real bullet proff vest

  • for $100 you can buy kevlar, fiberglass, or carbon fiber fabric online (Kevlar is the most expensive). the point is, you could make a quality one for the same cost.

  • 1:20 - so, they stop a bullet, but they break easy?

  • @jbbpr - They may stop a knife.....lol

  • laughed my butt off at the end.

don't sweat it most body armor only good for 9mm any way. .762 .22 = armor piercing from what i hear. better to just get your cardio on and not be an easy target.

  • @cortedemico - yeah i suck at running, i hope mad max people like conversations. lol

  • hahaha that was hilarious and yeah u shud have an ex gf try that out :'D

  • Should of had an ex-girlfriend try it out. lol

  • @MrPineapple2012 - lmao how bout it

  • you have to hbave at least 3 layers of the 1inch squares(i use 8) and then pour plaster around them when you have sheped them and back it with carbord(so it wont hurt as much) when it is all said and done it can stop a 12ga buck shot (or bird shot) a 9mm a 357 mag a 45 acp and mabey a round or 2 of 44 mag, i will opst a vid soon showing how to make it and test it

  • pick up some junk steel plates at hoe depot. im thinkin 5 1/8th in plates and you're good... or at least better than duct tape and tile

  • @TheSmackfan101 you can do a a layer of 1/8" steel, a layer of the 1"squar tiles and them a last 1/8" layer of steel and then duck tape it, i will do that, make a vid and test it

  • r u serius ppl with armor and spikes on the armor and on motorcycles.!?!?! o.0 its not the 80s man weve got cops

  • What pistol are you rockin here man?

  • @TheMr45acp - just a random Czech 9mm lol

  • WHAT AN IDIOT!

  • small mosaic tiles would be best... perhaps 3 layers there alott smaller about a inch in diameter and whats the chance of getting shot in the same inch square and that were the extra layers come in aswell...it wouldnt ever stop a rifle bullet but a pistol round would be stoped.....because the tiles are alot smaller it would also conform to the body better and would make it eayer to make into more of a vest shape

  • @1ukjunglednbraver - word dude, right on good luck in the mad max future time

  • @LukeWhitaker i saw it on mythbusters...i wouldnt ever think it would work unless i saw it on there first

  • LMAO @ 4:16. it was worth a shot though...(no pun intended)

  • @trje246 - scary shizz

  • my local gun shop sells Kevlar Vests for $120

  • @drunkdriveing - damn thats cheap...awesome

  • @drunkdriveing No offense, But I don't think I could trust a 120 dollar kevlar vest without testing... Its probably not rated very highly...

  • There are plenty of great LvIII vests out there that will stop bullets for under a grand.

  • 4:15 "Yeah I guess it dont work, dont do that" hahahaha!

  • Hey, great job on the vest, the police ruined my day though, I'm going to get off my laptop so I can finish bleeding to death

  • @DieWolfen lmao

  • That was frigging hilarious, I guess it didn't work, don't do that.

It does work as proven on mythbusters, but you have to use the square ones and that are thicker than a 1/3 of an inch. Be careful with those mad max people!

  • @luigisf - becareful too luigisf, Madmax people are insane

  • i made a helmet using this process and wow! it worked im still alive but my head wont stop bleeding thanks!!

  • @vicmanech - hahahahhahahah

  • well, im typing this from the emergency room, and i just wanted to say fuck you this didnt work.

  • @snower5554 - Comments like this rock so hard. lol sorry duder

  • Vests Cost $250-10,000, They wont stop anything you fucking idiot! Its not the same ceramic or process. Maybe a few layers would stop a 9 or .22 but really cmon. ur a horrible shot and that didnt work. posting shit like this is dangerous to people who copy it.

  • @sharkgoalie10 - Thank you for the support.

  • i made this just like you said now i have a bullet in my heart

  • @elliotmotoX - lol sounds like somebody has super-powers.....and you're welcome for me discovering that for you.

  • hahahhah "bounce a bullet off" yer right.

  • someone just learned that bullets don't just "bounce off" ceramic plates, especially those made for bathroom use.

  • cofin punch mythbusters part 4-5

  • its a great idea. innovative. something you would see on MacGyver. I give a thumbs up simply for the commentary! hahahahaha brilliant.

  • LMFAO well lets see if this will work i have no clue lmao

  • i mean tape it

  • sweet

  • you can look at my video to see how to make it, its call long fire stick

  • i think you need to yous a half of a newpaper and roll it up like a pipe and nape it. stave it some times or shot it if u works then u can yous it as a vest .have fun

  • nope, if you spent enough time on it maybe

  • RETARD!

  • really hope ur kidding

  • help me guncrazy143

  • imagine using a hunting rifle in war total pownage 30-02 .300 winchester or even 7mm hilarious

  • 7.62 NATO, 30-06, 7mm, etc is another story entirely. I've only had one successful test against a 7.62 NATO and I'm almost certain that it was a rare angle deflection (I hit it just right). My Weatherby 7mm magnum just blows holes in this stuff at any range (100-600 yards), but then again even Dragonskin can't stop the higher end hunting rifles. .300 WSSM, 7mm WM, etc, even with cheap ammo have WAY too much velocity. With steel-core or tungsten tips WATCH OUT.

  • The finished product is about 1 3/4-2 inches thick plus about 1/2 inch of compressed foam. This is composite armor is designed to strip the copper jacket off a FMJ round and reduce the projectiles mass through the successive layers while also dissapating the impact force over a wider area. With the foam backing, this plate WILL stop or deflect 3 and sometimes as many as 5 hits from 5.56 NATO, 5.45x39, and 7.62x39 rounds.

  • 6X Kevlar 29 1XAluminum 1/8" 6X Kevlar 29 1XAluminum 1/8" 6X Kevlar 29 1XAluminum 1/8" 6X Kevlar 29 1XAluminum 1/8" 6X Kevlar 29 1XAluminum 1/8" 6X Kevlar 29 These layers are laminated together with polyester resin and then overlayed with a combined thickness of 1/2" of fiberglass and then sanded smooth (smoother surfaces have better ballistic properties). Also make sure the plate has a natural curve. I use compressed and quilted memory foam as the backing.
  • There is really no such thing as a "bullet proof vest". The best you can really achieve is a certain level of bullet resistance. I've made armor with varying results and best design I've come up with is a composite of 1/8" aluminum plates layered with kevlar 29, fiberglass, and backed by a layer of compressed visco-elastic polyurethane foam (memory foam).

  • you would need thicker tile or to double up the tile

  • funniest vid EVER!!!

  • you rock so much Helena1120

  • @LukeWhitaker i suggest to buy the tile that is linked together each tile peice is a one inch square peice and maybe cut out a sheet or 2 of tin and put the tile in between and some how seal around the edges then make a vest out of ductape and insert the armor inside im not sure how well it would work but on mythbusters they were using just the tile alone in connected one inch by one inch sheets of tile

  • @LukeWhitaker sorry I typed my reply before i watched the whole video as it was loading and realized you mentioned some of my ideas and it will not let me delete the post

  • its all good bro, you rock

  • LOL, im gonna make one to protect me from the Madd Max People!

But ill be careful not to have any pieces of tile inserted in me. LOL!

  • hahahah xD

  • you know if i didnt watch this to the end i would have tryed that?...... i wonder if it would work if you used glue insted

  • The last 7 seconds are perfect! I think I know what I'm giving everyone for christmas, Bullet vests!

  • hahhaha classic comment

  • if i was a terrorist id die of laughter first before i killed you thats a ghetto ass bullet proof vest hahaha

  • ahhh.....almost laughed meself 2 death. nice lil end table u got there
