J'adore ses yeux comme tout le monde, j'adore son sérieux, j'adore son anglais qui n'est pas mal du tout (et son petit sourire en créant le bien anglais "he blinked the whole book" ;)) et j'adore son sens de l'humour. I was watching the second part of the Mesrine saga last night were Mathieu play a rather big part and I was thinking the same thing you did Stephen , that guys have the most expresive eyes!In public enemy number 1 his character was talking without speaking a word,very percing eyes.

He his without a doubt one of the best talent that came out of french cinema in the last few years.I have seen a lot of films with him lately , "Un conte de Noel" "Michou d'auber" and hey even the new bond,hes great

Matthieu Amalric's performance in "The Diving Bell And The Butterfly" was simply outstanding!! He has left a benchmark for other actors all over the world! Here you have a humble actor who doesn't crave publicity win the hearts of so many! My "A" list for the oscars are 'Heath Ledger and Amalric" :D

His performance in Le Scaphandre Et La Papillon was spectacular!! It must thave been such a challenge pulling off the character and there you have a man who does not care for publicty, do an award winning performance! Two people on my "A" list for an oscar are Mathieu Amalric and Haeth Legger!! =D

Agreeance, beatlesgirl44...The Viggo Mortensen slot should've been Matthieu's! He carried the whole film with just ONE EYE BALL!!!!Now if that isn't the most astounding feat of acting I've ever seen on the screen, I don't know what it is.And he is said to have improvised much of his "in his head" dialogue, while the other actors were acting into the camera lens that served as his eye ball. He was in another room watching them on a monitor! INCROYABLE!

mathieu amalric is so sexy! he's a phenomenal actor, and i've been watching most of his films. i know that after quantum of solace comes out he'll be more famous, but he should've been more well known. he's one of my favorite actors! and diving bell and the butterfly was the best film of the year, if not in a long time. i loved every minute.

I just watched "Le Secphadre et le Papillon" encore une fois ce semaine, and it plays even better on a TV monitor, je pense. Director Julian Schnabel's masterly, painterly use of the camera lens as Bauby's eye is just breath-taking and Matthieu's performance is overwhelming in its range et aussi dans le petit details de sa vie. FANTASIQUE!
