  • @HaliB75: MJ is most certainly NOT older than Liza. He was born in the late 50's; she was born in the mid 40's. MJ modeled one of his "Dangerous" perfomances on a number Liza's MOTHER had done 45 years earlier. And while MJ and Liza were great friends, her moves are Bob Fosse moves, a much earlier influence. You are watching her at age 43 here. Try to imagine how incredible she was at 10, 17, 26, etc, when she was dancing with the other greats...Gene Kelly, Luigi, Pavaroti, etc.

  • She never has really reminded me of her mother but she totally has Judy legs in this :D Love Liza!!!!!!

  • I love Liza. I hate this. #sorry

  • Fucking awesome, I finally have an excuse to like this song.

  • A great big fat hit record all across Europe.

  • OMG, she's completely gorgeous! Great version!

  • This is freaking incredible. So amazingly 80s. I've never seen Sonheim interpreted this way.

  • This is a disgrace. I like Liza, but this was pure garbage.

  • Would love to hear her perform the original, version of this,. Liza is usually such a fan of the pieces that allow her to show off vocally, and Sondheim's original tempo and melody coupled with Tunick's lush orchestration would have suited her enormously.

  • 2:16 Oh, sweetie, you're not going left, and you're definitely not going right.

  • I remember when this Grammy Special aired . . . Liza was good in this.

  • ouch.

  • Liza was sexy and very classy at the same time. Shows me where I've always gone wrong with women. They may have been sexy but they sure weren't classy and no where near Liza!

  • Too bad her and MJ didn't dance together in a video.

  • lol The originality is shocking. I love it.

  • esta musica, cantada por liza, me emociona muito, demaaaiiiiiis

  • wow, you certainly have not lost your mind. Fabulous entertainment as always.

  • i wish that at least one of those sluts socalled artists of todays could have the most infimous piece of artistry of the Liza or another really talented artist of yesterdays..... today all seems to compensate talent with meat, sex and pyrotechnics!!! :( Liza Forever!!

  • What is she wearing, and she thinks she can dance lol

  • @SuperCarrona Um, I like the way she dances. And she's wearing clothes that are easy to dance in.

  • liza minnelli invented emo hair! lovesit!

  • This is a top twenty of all her songs. Pretty Liza!

  • I think that moving light on stage left has a dead lamp.

  • Love her hair

  • Super Talent. Chingona, y Que?

  • I've been watching this for quite sometime now. I still can't get over the way she moves.. Liza is such an amazing dancer!!!!

  • mamamia..just wonderful !!!! Liza (Laïzaaa). merci d'exister..

  • This is the best live performance Liza has done to make me want to buy this CD. She is just amazing!!!!!

  • DIVINAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!! DIVA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ahhhh just wonderful!

  • Went to concert with Liza - fell asleep. Had forgotten that she is a movie star and a jazz/big band/cabaret-ish singer/artist/entertainer. I still have this image of her: the dramatic, perfect Tennant/Lowe-produced divaqueen - soulful & fresh.

  • I think it's better when she doesn't dance.

  • What a voice of Lizza Minelli!!

Great music of PET SHOP BOYS!

  • She is all above Hollywood Royalty

  • Liza is only and only the best because she is from last of the legends and she is a legend from old holly wood she is it......................

  • even if she lip synchs. the woman has proven time and time again she can sing...

  • Everytime she performed this song she lip-syncs it.

  • Most live performances are lip synched when people are moving around because it will make their voices jump HOWEVER I think that they shouldn't lip sync because the fans won't care if the voice is crazy and wiggly. We just want to hear our artist do their thing ya know.

  • God damit....love her voice, black wear and moves....she knows how to do it

!!!!! a poza tym kocham ja

  • I love Liza - but she's lip-syncing here! Not cool.

  • Stupenda canzone e grande balletto !!!

  • lol. whats up with the dance...

  • No one better! No one.

  • yep, i agree, she looks really good - what a great performer - love him or hate him you can see why she was such an inspiration to MJ.

  • agree, even their dancing is similar.

  • Trust me, MJ did not get any steps from her......even thoughs he is older...he influenced her regarding dance. She is a fabulous entertainer, but she will never be MJ with regard to dance.

  • @HaliB75 I am without much doubt that MJ did get some moves of her mother.

  • I love this look for Liza. It is classic.

  • There is a song of Kin Carnes that is called " bette davis eyes ".

I think some great singer should make a song for liza minelli`s eyes . They are so great as she is .

I also think liza minelli is a great singer and I admire her a lot .

  • GO LIZA¡¡¡¡

  • SOO terrifix lovely..

  • The Greatest Female Entertainer Ever.

  • well turn the damn thing off if you love it, hate, wanna vomit on it

    can't help losing your mind

  • This made me vomit.

    I love it.

    I hate it.

    It's brilliant.

    It's an insult to Sondheim.

  • I'm sure he didn't mind collecting the royalties.

  • OLYMPUS?? you said "At times there are many reasons why I would prefer to be back in the 80's, and the music we were lucky to hear "1st time round" is 1 reason. 1984 onwards again if I could in the blink of an eye? Maybe, just maybe!

Liza's got a great powerfull deep voice. Great track of her's. "

HELL YEA!! id go in a heartbeat, no hesitation!1 :-)

  • GREAT

  • I wonder from where is it ? wich show? ... this is by far the best live performance of the song

  • At times there are many reasons why I would prefer to be back in the 80's, and the music we were lucky to hear "1st time round" is 1 reason. 1984 onwards again if I could in the blink of an eye? Maybe, just maybe!

Liza's got a great powerfull deep voice. Great track of her's.

  • WOW! She looks completely different in this vdieo! She really looks like a 80's pop star!

  • I remember taping this special Grammy Awards show. Still have it; one of my favorite performances by Liza; she did look good here.

  • Lovely Liza, I love this woman.

  • Großartig!

Gutes Lied und ein super Auftritt 1989 - seufz, wie die Zeit vergeht :-)

  • Liza I simply love You

  • I love Liza.

    A plus on our planet!

  • hollywood royalty (Y):D i bow before you maam

  • She moves just like her mother. Haunting.

  • She shines

  • quelle présence ! Pas besoin de beaucoup de décors !

  • We forget how good she could be.

  • Liza puts me in mind of sharleen spiteri out of texas in this video.Liza was about 42ish when this came out she was a fit woman,i love the song too!

  • I know of Ms. Minnelli, but not in great detail. Wasn't really a fan of hers, but after seeing this video, hats off to her. She was and still is a great talent and legend.

  • I love her look! Gotta Love Liza!!!

  • reminds me of Madonna nowadays!

  • I remember this performance and just being blown away by her dancing. These are not Michael Jackson moves, they are Bob Fosse. Truly Liza at her peak.

  • Hot!

  • those moves! oh liza. i love you!

  • She never looked better

  • I bet her pal Michael Jackson choreographed her in this performance.

  • i wanna dance like her!!! hahahahaha!

  • This is the BEST version ever!!

  • My Favorite Tea Dance Song

  • remember, liza rocks...she's older now...and maybe she is losing her mind, but she's an effing legend
