The song is not a 1950s song, it was out in 1966 or 1967. I was 6 and used to watch his shows on TV every week in the late 60s. I saw him in concert a few years ago in Brighton when he was 80.

He had white hair and was a little unsteady on his feet, but his voice was as great as it was all those years ago. He was brilliant. This song brought the house down! I loved it then, I love it now.

I like Andy Williams, but he really sped this up and lost the sultriness of Bob Crewe's song. Like in the old soda commercial, the beat is supposed to mimic the rhythm of girls' swaying hips. He missed it completely... unless he was thinking of Benny Hill's hips.
