Im an English black metal fan. However, I do admit that CoF really are my favorite band. Of course not the new stuff (they lost it and went mainstream in about 2001). However, i realise that they aren't black metal. It annoys me when the scene kids say that they are. Anyway, I also love bands like Mayhem, Burzum, Gorgoroth, Rotting Christ etc., but I dont think that one has to listen to black metal exclusively to be a fan. For example, my other favorite bands include The Prodigy and The Pixies.
