  • The first time I met Ben he asked me to play a song to open his set. I ended up playing the whole set because he left the building to have a Black Sambuca down the street. He wasn't in the mood to play that night...it happens. I remember seeing him many times absolutely mesmerize a croud of college kids that didn't know or understand the music they were hearing.They just sat quietly and watched the Blues Master as though it were a religious experience...and it was. Fare thee well Ben. R.I.P.

  • Actually, I think ben does use a few different tunings. I caught up with him this weekend and he used an open C and E tuning for a few tunes
