Yeah the menu looks a bit unorganized. Cute, but unorganized.

I actually prefer the old XrossMediaBar style from the PSP. This one takes a little getting used to.

Pretty ulgy and random menus. There isn't a stardart style, the colors are all over the place, overall, it's a complete mess in terms of design. Looks like something made by amateurs with basic (and poor) skills in Photoshop. The old system meny, from the PSP, was pretty functional and elegant. Why the heck they decided to change it?

@gundamzerostrike Because this is more practical for a touch interface. I would take practicality over aesthetics any day.

@TheCrippledNewt 3DS has a touch interface and it looks 500% better than this (not only that, it has more things on the screen, in an organized way, being even more practical). It's just a matter of knowing how to use colors, shapes and the space available on the screen. I hope to see a new firmware bringing a better version of this system menu.

@gundamzerostrike I see what you mean. The 3DS does have a better menu system than the Vita. However, the Vita's icons each have a personality that speaks about their individual function. The 3DS circumvents that need due to the presence of a second screen.

When you first turned it ON was there a language selection menu?

@manuwickrama I think there is,because at TGS2011,the guy turned on the VITA and set up,1st screen was language selection,then wi-fi connection,and then sign-in to psn
