its turning over, check the air filter, oil, fuel filter, and check petrol lines and petrol pump is working and clear, also possibly clean or service the carb! at least it is cranking over wich is good, but there doesent seem to be anything for the engine ignite, try abat o cold start in the air filter that i use on the car, it should get it it going : )
Try adjusting the valves! They will be tight! I bought my bike from a guy who said it doesn't start, I took some tools with me adjusted the valves in front of him, paid him the money put my crash hat on and it started right up!! The guys face was a picture as I rode off!!! Lol
I had the same issue with my 2007 tgb 49cc 202 it hadn't been started up for over 2 weeks I decided to put the revs on before I started it and it started first time have you tryed that?
@powerbookg4apple Hi thanks for the suggestion. But if I can remember correctly there was something messed up in the clutch that was causing this, may have been roller weights or something else but it's been a while.
Therefore, Fatguy's scooter here wasn't running accordingly. To fire that sucker right up light a rocket, convert that cheap fuel pump with and electric fuel pump so you can gain a constant fuel flow ALL THE TIME, change all the original fuel lines, adjust or replace the throttle cable, and replace that safety fuse linkage in the battery compartment.
heres the problum your not geting fuel, try this,,,remove a line on the carb that looks like a fuel line but it goes to a valve close to the gas tank pull it off its not a gas line its a vacum line to a gas valve thats stuck closed just pull the line off and suck on the line till it fells like it lets lose and opens then when it does put some stayble in your gas tank to prevent this valve from sticking again this will fix it, good luck,
Keep this in minds folks: DO NOT crank your scooter that long like this dude if you know your engine doesn't want to start; that electric starter will wear out sooner and you would have more problems to deal with than before!!!
Does anyone have ideas on my scooter? My battery was low so the only way to start it was to kick start it......I went and bought a new battery and still only if kick start........BUT now when you put the key in before trying to kick start nothing happens..no lights, no gages.....they only come on when kick start when they all worked with the key before the new battery...........
@adventurescolorado Check that cheaply-made fuse linkage in the battery compartment; sometimes it can come loose and you can loose electrical flow to your powers...And replace it with a better one (from Kragen or somewhere)...
And your electric starter may worn out by now...So, DO NOT crank you motor that long if it doesn't want to start...HA! HA! HA!
Please allow this "scooter doctor" his two-cent-worth of advice concerning this video: Those gas scooters running the GY6 motors are poorly built from China somewhere; the fuel lines are poorly made which can crack and leak very easily; that engine vacuumed fuel pump are crapped! And the throttle cable can stretch soon afterward...
@phambo101 Thanks why don't you make a flipping video on how to do anything then? I'm just talking from experience, I've ran my scooter on some crazy trails, topped it out, etc. And have never had any problems like what you are saying.
It's more of an individual problem, and if you really want to fix it you have to troubleshoot it in real life.
And I'm not a scooter doctor, I thought I'd make a little video in my spare time to show some people how to do a simple idle adjustment.
you need the space between the pickup sensor is smaller by unscrewing the sensor and pushing it down through the spaces that get less if you put him down is approximately 0.40 mm between the fly wheel and pickup sensor,
ok so i see that you found out what was wrong cool how about some videos dude i like that new bike that you have looks like your going to have some fun once you get it going again
hey maybe you can do a video of what happen to your scoot
@kieth377 haha yeah two days ago... @_@ Apparently when the belt broke it misplaced a few roller weights in the variator, thus disabling the rear part of the variator from returning back to its original position, thus forcing the belt to squeeze the clutch open disabling it from staying in the idle/low RPM zone :) any questions?
I'm not enough of a mechanic to offer much help. As warevz says, try pulling the spark plug. Check and see if it is getting spark and fuel. The plug should have gas on it after all those attempts.
Also, be careful how long you hold the starter button on. Anything longer than about 10-20 seconds could start over heating it and then you'll have other problems to deal with. Let it cool off between attempts for a few minutes.
@RC62 true i was worried about killing the starter lol and im still trying to trouble shoot it. if you want i can post the link to the forum in the description if you're interested enough lol
try giving him 5 times trottle and then hit the start button. Then go take out the cable from the coil to your spark plug and get a hair draier fan and fan it to be sure that its dry. Then do that to other electronic parts like the cdi and the fuses. If it dostn start then take the spark plug and put a new in and open the carb and clean it to make sure there is no water or drt in the carb blocking the starting and the idle jet. Try it if you want i can make a video how to clean your carburetor.

@warezvz well actually the guys at scootdawg said that it might still have a piece of belt stuck in the clutch when the belt tore. they said after you check that be sure to clean the parts like you mentioned, thanks for the comment!

@apricotsnms516 yeah its a good idea to check for the peace of belt stuck in the clutch because your rear tire was spinning during the startup
