I bet this place isn't a million+ anymore in 2011. In 1970, these beach shacks were $35,000 dollars, and still you need to drive the fwys for work. Not much has changed. It's way too late to buy now. RE has so much farther to fall.

I lived about 12 blocks from there, on Pittsfield lane, 1154, the low apartment, from 1967-74; a totally wonderful, "far out" time to live cheaply on the beach. They're just selling location here because no improvements could be worth the higher price...unless they papered the walls with gold and silver.

@powergirl901 you're right. I've been looking at properties in SilverStrand and Ventura and this place would go for about $700K now.
