  • I love how people like to hide how horrible something is and not give it to us real. The man is a film producer and he knows this film is downright awful. Frank Marshall and Shyamash!t it's ok to slip up but it's not ok to act like it didn't happen. That movie is a disgrace to film !!!

Frank and M Night Shyamash!t you owe Paramount money because clearly all the money they gave you wasn't spent entirely on the film. Buying your wives jewelry and dresses doesn't count as movie expenses.

  • @k1988smith

They will perhaps admit the film wasn´t that good in a few years^^. The film is still running and they were still promoting it. You won´t get an honest opinion out of them, while the film is still in theaters, perhaps after the dvd release, perhaps never.

But thats normal, isn´t it? No Actor, Director or Producer talks shit about his film, when he still wants to earn some money with it.

  • @lanzelotz26 I was going to say Micheal Bay publicly acknowledged that the second Transformers was not as good as the first one. That would be a bad example though because that movie made 800 million in it's boxoffice run and even I have the dvd.

I think if they let eveyone know that the movie was a cinematic failure, then more people would be on board for a sequel. Still you are correct most people have gotten told they were great to many times to say they made something horrible.

  • @DrKbboy I'm just trying to be hopeful about the whole situation but what in the world makes you think Paramount is going to drop a bunch of money (again) just to remake a movie and then re-release it to the public. It's too much of a hassle for them. They're going to do what they think is going to make them more money.

  • yeah, that was impolite of me, I apologize.

But I do not apologize for being frustrated (which how almost all fans feel) with how this adaptation was handled.

  • OHAY FRANK MARSHALL, I LOVED HOW YOU BASICALLY TOLD THE FANS TO STFU WHEN WE ASKED WHAT THE HELL WAS GOING ON WITH SHYAMALAN WHITEWASHING THE CAST.

  • Fuck you Frank Marshall, this movie blows.

  • 0:07 and I love the messages that were in the story..so I though you know let's not have those in the movie

0:20 its a story about humanity and tolerance...once again non of the characters in the movie looked like real humans, and what tolerance? did I miss something?

1:19 we have a script HOLY FUCK! and I thought all those awful lines were improvised!

first M night mentions hitchcock, kubrick and now orson wells? your MOVIE DOESN't EVEN GET CLOSE TO THE WORKS OF THESE PEOPLE

  • worst movie ever ever ever made.

  • @poorambo no, it wasn't.

  • @anneres yes,it was.

  • @poorambo Nu-uh. D: rofl.

  • @anneres yea-her.

  • @poorambo xD

  • @anneres i dont what that means???? im not down with all these symbol fingimejigz, lol.

  • Woot!! Yay, yay, yay, yayyyy! Squeeeeeeeee? ^_^;

Oh kay, that was a little over the top. But I'm in the minority (supposedly) of people who really loved the first film, and am looking forward to the next two! ^_^

    Lovely news!

  • I loved the movie. And I think if the next one is green-lighted, our actors and actresses will be given the opportunity to grow and improve. I have a feeling they will do much better. C'mon, guys. It was NOT the worst movie in the entire history of filmmaking. It was totally not. :\

  • I didn't think the movie was that great, but it bugs the crap out of me when people call it the worst movie ever made/the worst movie they've ever seen. I /highly/ doubt it. Watch it again with a more open mind (it's an interpretation, not a reproduction), and it's really not so bad.

  • @gem322 I totally 100% agree with you. No doubt I was disappointed but the people who say it was terrible are being melodramatic. I hope it gets greenlit so they can have a chance to improve.

  • @Demyx52

Hm maybe it might be better if they redo the movie rather than do a sequel ..

Get someone Chris Nolan or nah Peter Jackson won't or ... Yeah nvm they screwed the show over ..

  • @gem322 my reasons for hating the movie are less to do with the changes made (and there were a LOT, most of which were unnecessary or made no sense) and more to do with the movie being objectively bad from a filmmaking standpoint. the pacing is awful, the dialogue is WRETCHED (it's like shyamalan has never heard a human being speak before), the acting is wooden and lifeless - lines are delivered in a stilted monotone and the actors never change facial expressions. it's just a bad movie.

  • I don't think people should so epicly hate the movie, because Shyamalan just used the original material and adapted it to his own vision of this world. It seems like to him this movie is his own original movie, his own creation, based on the Avatar series. That's exactly his problem, because he made so many "original" movies, relying on his own imagination, that it's practically impossible for him to make a real live-action movie, using someone else's story.

  • I liked the movie...and yes it did seem rushed btu it is a lot to pack into 2 hrs

  • @urokmyamazinsox The movie IS rushed - the characters were not given enough screen time to give it the emotional perspective Shyamalan is known for. Mr. Marshall, if you are reading this, please ask Paramount to to allot more time for the sequels, and to release an extended cut of the first movie in DVD and/or limited theatrical release. Even Harry Potter 1 is much longer than two hours!

  • Worst movie of the year, congrats, douchebag.

  • Don't forget the bad acting, and the bad bending and the bad script writing, the bad casting, and the fact you chose something that plays off better as a animated film

  • haha can please one person more like a few 100 thousand....

  • "...of that first year"

First year? The whole avatar series happens over the time line of 9-11 months.

  • Rather than three seasons as done in the animated series, the movie spans over four years to be compatible with the movie making process. As mentioned in the movie's epilogue, the Sozin's Comet will arrive in three years time. The first year has passed, which gives us 3 more movies. :)

  • @hhashim That just shows they do not care for the original material. Whatever though, its obvious they aren't going to be allowed to make an other one.

  • @vaporage To be fair, Avatar Roku took 12 years of travel to master the other 3 elements. Aang in the film is given only 4 years. The animated series was produced and released over 3 years, but the nice thing about animation is that it allows the characters age slower than the voice actors. In movies, the child actors will age noticeably.
