yes i think personally it is easier to make the 'sketches' or i sometimes make extremely detailed blueprints, to make them first before the house because You have an outline. You know what the house is already going to look like, and if there was going to be a problem in the design, you would find it before you make it in the sims!!

OKay, at 53 seconds when it is bird eye view, the drive way is sort of in like a circle kind of thing on the edges, the tiles are in half or turned a certin way.

OOHhhhh gotcha, well, I just put up a wall diagonally, and pressed control on the other side of it. It made the diangle tile!

Thanks so much- well on average, it takes about 2 hours to build a nice home for me-but then again, it depends on the house size. This one took me about 30 min. because I just build the front- I didn't finish the inside or anything because i was soo busy that day, and the game would get too choppy. ( its a reaaaaly big house... really big..)

haha i draw my houses on grid paper too fairly often if i want a real place done to scale (as near as possible), but thats fantastic, mine usually look fairly creative, but not in a good way. that mansion looks like a real place, mine just end up lookin terrible. wots your secret?

well thanks so much! I'm sure yours don't look terrible--well I just look at real floorplans that real architects drew- and kinda twist and turn thier ideas into mine. I never copy them, but I use some of their ideas- EX: 2 story great room, (now) a huge pantry, ect.

I draw my plans on graph paper (grid paper)--I do draw to scale in real life. I just interpret that house into the sims 2. ( I estimate that each square is about 3 feet X 3 feet.)
