  • Had my first kiss to this song.

  • saw them in ft. lauderdale, cant remember the place 1996

  • Darkest days the whole album ,,,torments you if she has fkd you over ,,and you will love it ,,when she did it to me in the 90s ,,stabbing ,w ,w ,,,was my drug ,,aLL DAY THE AND NIGHT

  • The Whale sound is a nice touch

  • first heard this spending winter in Florida felt sooo good

  • Classic!!! Still love Stabbing Westward!

  • i love this song

  • this song sings to my soul. it totally described my life for a few years.

  • 7 people already know what they have to do...

  • why me

  • Seven people decided to go East rather than West.

  • @TheDiplomats87 They were obviously Crips and not Bloods

  • @tacobender5000 Hahaha! Awesome dude, high five!!!

  • great band of the 90s

  • kool!

  • Who cares about who ripped off who. Just listen to the songs before they vanish.

  • Trent Reznor ripped off Skinny Puppy

  • @bsheridan1000 Skinny Puppy ripped off Throbbing Gristle.

  • I wouldn't call them a Nine Inch Nails rip off

  • It truly is a shame that this has about half a million views and fucking Lady Gaga and Katy Perry have hundreds of millions. *Sigh* music will never be the same anymore.

  • @samater16 Most people like garbage instead of true music nowadays, it is sad indeed...

  • @samater16 true.

  • @samater16 sex sells

  • @samater16 :-(

  • Stabbing Westward were amazing.

  • The hell with pop more of this music!

  • I am not the target demographic for pop music so get rid of that shit before my videos!!!!!!!!!!

  • @1978oldschool1

Why post pop videos where peple who HATE pop view! I see adds for videos Id rather slit my wrists than watch!

  • @PlanetVampiredotcom sorry, didn't notice your post at this time....and yes, they broke up to go seperate ways, which all suck now...sad to say but it's true...

  • These guys need to do a reunion tour dammit.

  • I miss Industrial music!

  • Stabbing Westward made me love Industrial metal music.

  • thumbs up if you heard this song from the movie masterminds

  • id take SW over NIN anyday!

  • The old video was superior. But, still love the song.

  • Need of love is a hell of a drug. One i have not kicked yet. Heard this song for the first time in the late 90's. Still would do anything to get that feeling.

  • love this whole cd

  • you know im sitting here watching this song and there is an advertisment for rihanna for the background. like she could ever compare to a great 90's artist! she doesnt deserve to be on the same page!

  • @squall412 The point of the 90's was to not give a shit about what people think and to not be effected by people's crap. Rihanna has worked her ass off in the industry and her music is no less valid to her fans than Stabing Westward's music is to theirs.

You missed the point of the 90's.

  • @SinSchism thats cute you think rihanna works hard. i would count it as work if every singer in this generation didnt use voice alterations to sound better. i guess i just miss when music was played true.

  • Actually in the '90s, these guys were pretty popular. They released 5 albums and then in 2002 they broke up. As far as the "NIN Rip-off" thing goes, industrial was just a popular genre then. Stabbing Westward wasn't the only band to have a sound like that.

  • @TheLetterZach I heard that they didn't break up, I heard they all died when their plane crashed.

  • @Dart572 No they broke up and all went on to other projects. You can check Wikipedia or even the SW website and they both list the numerous other projects the members are all busy with.

  • @TheLetterZach Not to mention Andy Kubiszewski was in the Exotic Birds with Trent Reznor before NIN.

  • @TheLetterZach technically a variety of the songs put out by them was written by their drummer which was the drummer/writer for NIN and "exotic birds"(NIN before Reznor realized he was cool and can play a keyboard). THIS song its self was an "exotic birds" song. so basically this is a NIN song.....so NAH, they didn't "rip-off" NIN, they just borrowed the drummer/writer....lol

  • @AESTH3TICSOFHATE Stabbing Westward had been together for about ten years prior to Andy coming on. They also made a name for themselves before Andy came on...most notably, Violent Mood Swings among others.

  • @ldstultz not contesting that, but THIS song, among a few of their MOST notable songs were written by him....google it....lol. just trying to let people saying that SW is a rip-off, or comparing to NIN....let them know there is a reason behind that...

  • @AESTH3TICSOFHATE He also played drums on the downward spiral

  • @AESTH3TICSOFHATE Andy K. was a drummer for NIN on exactly one song ever. He was never a member of NIN at all. However, the drummer for the original SW demos that landed their record deal (Chris Vrenna) LATER became a member of NIN. So if you really think about it, NIN took SW's drummer, not the other way around.

  • @TheLetterZach Actually they released 4 EP's (Ungod, WBB+P, Darket Days and self-titled)

  • @depmode26 Oh yeah it was 4. I dunno why I was thinking 5. Just a correction though, they are LPs not EPs. An LP is a full album, EPs are like a demo with usually 4 or 5 tracks.

  • @TheLetterZach Stabbing Westward was extremely popular back in the day....they,along with N.I.N were just 2 of many great "Industrial" groups from the USA alone...It's still a growing genre.

  • @TheLetterZach Well sir I must say you hit the nail right on the head, a well put rebuttal.

  • @TheLetterZach Nin openly states that they are not the creators or representatives of any so called Industrial anything. They made music. some bands sounded similar. history repeats itself.. thats why we have tours.. I.E. Warped tour.. same genres for the most part with some seasoning.. Bonnaroo,,, Family Values, Sick And Twisted, Snow Core, Ozzfest.. they all had similar listener bases... of course there are genres.. you can;t single out a band becaue of their influence..

  • I still don't understand how these guys are a nine inch nails ripoff. Stuff like Ministry, Skinny Puppy, even Gary Numan outdated Trent. Fuck, even David Bowie.

  • @StretchDouche I agree. It amazes me when people say that. Trent even admitted to "borrowing" a lot of his sound from SP. The sound just changes, evolves and meshes with each artist.

  • @Kittenlis

People are just arrogent that way I guess. As if anything if pure originality when you dive deep into. As long as the artist is passionate about it I don't see a problem. Just don't be like coldplay.

  • the whole CD rocked form what i can remember from the 90's.

  • I want to know why the changed both of their videos from the great artwork to this commercial garbage?

  • okay maybe it's just me, but I NEVER get ads, I have a youtube account with videos and use mozilla firefox with the adblock plus add-on....

  • TEEEEEELL MEEEEE! bitch.

  • Family-safe version of NIN. Ha!

  • this song brings back a lot of memories and means a lot to me today because of the girl I love

  • tripped on Acid in my room for the first time and this was on repeat. It made me make art with blood from guitar string cuts.......and no, I never became a rock star. Damn LSD.

  • @mammarybomb ...hott!

  • What do I have to do to get Christopher Hill?!?!

  • Another song from my 20s. I love this album. Never got to see them live. Wish I had. Along with God Lives Underwater and Gravity Kills.

  • @stevenxowens792 Saw 'em 4 times. Every show got better. I've never seen a lead singer that gets so involved with the audience. Amazing.

  • Justin Bieber is artist of the year because every buttfucking elitist on Youtube brings up his name.

  • @21stcenturymessiah you just brought up his name...making you one of them

  • And apparently...7 people havent figured out....what to do :)

  • I think this was my favorite song all through the 90's...so much meaning...so many memories lol

  • still gives me goosebumps!! incredible song!!!!!!!

  • OK lady gaga do not worry you make billions more ..take your face off there let us enjoy the music and the video

  • I always loved them. I was fortunate to see them live in Houston during late 90's, early 2000's... also saw Filter, Gravity Kills, Kings X and NIN. Love Industrial!!!!!!!

  • He's so sexc I've always liked sw

  • the fcc is brainwashing kids these days... this era was right before they started putting parental advisory labels on th records so if you were under a certain age you cuouldnt buy the cd... and now we got justin beiber as artist of the year? wtf is really going on yall?

  • this brings me back to 5th grade

  • These ads are fucking annoying

  • This is my ballad when I'm upset about a breakup. :)

  • this song it's nothing special... I like "save yourself", but the best it's "the thing I hate", no doubt about it XD

  • Both songs are very good, this one and save yourself, sold me on this band right away,, too bad they didnt get more popular, they deserve it!

  • @kodiacwolf hey try the whole cd!

  • @kodiacwolf ...I COMPLETELY AGREE!!! this is one of my favorite bands! the whole album was awesome!! if EVERYONE would just listen 2 the words...cuz there is no cussing or anything. the words r so meaningful. sleep is one of my favs cuz its scary how dead on that song is with reality when that happens to a person

  • @kodiacwolf they were pretty popular in the 90's..

  • S.W. had such a response from people that felt exactly the same way that they gave a response themselves. It was Save Yourself.

Personally I like this song better. I went through it too and found my own way out.

  • Does anyone else here have the Masterminds soundtrack? I don't know where I put it but I used to listen to this all the time.

  • Lex Luthor, Lionel Luthor. Most amazing TV family to grace the airwaves. The actors were superb, and the snatches of this song that played with Lionel Luthor's first appearance were the most accurate description of their relationship of father and son.

  • @StringerDCUO I searched on YouTube for this song thanks to that Smallville scene

  • wHAT DI I HAVE TLO DO TO MAKE THINGS ALL COOL AGAIMNNNANNDSKKNADVYQTEIUJX1380849378163E

  • the opening is so bad ass and the whole song is purified by these geniuses

  • What do i have to do to see stabbing westward at a hopefull reunion concert.

  • I heard this on the radio the other day, and it has lived in my head ever since. I wish some of today's music could live up to this calibar.

  • For some reason this song was in my head today. I hadn't heard it since I was like 15. Shit's badass!

  • @hiphopguru81 i never heard the song before but it came on the radio right at the moment my thoughts were inline with the lyrics lol

  • @famasdan you've never heard this til now?!? i'm sorry!! :(

  • People who know about music.

  • This band is very underated they are very artistic to say the least.

  • @hwagner81 you still do.

    It's in memory

  • The first three Stabbing Westward albums were masterpieces.

  • @djhobbes wow i couldn't have put it better myself... hey get on fb and chk out pinwurm, the great americon.... gr8 inustrial.... from NOW 2011....

    .

  • I MISS THE 90S!

  • this isn't the same without seeing Ozzie hacking with that leet hacker...thing

  • I guess at tylerobrian it would be fuck you correct spelling to huh?

  • because corperations dont feel, and music is an art.

  • why does everybody hate vevo? it always works fine for me

  • @zeroispink it's hated because of the fact that with the incorporation of vevo and other companies into youtube, we end up with a lot more advertising on a site that used to be by the people for the people instead of just for the people

  • fuck you veto

  • Love 90's rock. :)

  • can i like the video but dislike vevo?

  • download ad blocker for firefox. they have one for google chrome. dont have to sit through bullshit adds anymore. your welcome.

  • anyone know the name of the actress in this vid?

  • it seems like only yesterday that this song came out and its been about 16 years since this song came out i was junior in high school and working part-time at lowes foods grocery store ah those were the days

  • VEVO SUX BALLS

    great song!

  • A lot of music presently is missing good lyrics & just like the writing in a movie lyrics make the song as much as talented musicians & singers make up a good band.

  • @imon2u ....You said it! How right you are...

  • Great song!!

  • I love the lyrics on this song.

  • God, I hope she sees what losing her has done to me!

  • omg i looooooooooove this ong!! brings back memories!!!

  • My 18 year old son reminded me of a time when this song 1st came out when he asked me if I knew the name of it. He didnt know the band or the song and his only description was the funky soundin song. He was really impressed that I knew it right away back then and I was really flattered when he reminded me of that a couple of weeks ago.

  • One of my top 3 concerts, seeing SW at a less than 500 person venue '98

Anyone else see how linkin park rip'd this vibe.

  • I remember seeing this on an old VHS tape from the 90's that my sister previously recorded. This, Nine Inch Nails " Closer", Marilyn Manson " Sweet Dreams", and Smashing Pumpkins "1979" were just some of the videos i saw, i have never been the same.

  • I love this song.

  • I just talked to Walt (keyboards) tonight....he is a DJ for a Chicago radio station, The Loop 97.9.....I won some tickets....lol...........

  • This song is sooo good. How can a song be sooo good that it makes you teary-eyed from the goodness?

  • Love this song!

  • Take the ads away

  • @deansusky AdBlockPlus addition to your browser will take care of this problem

  • @deansusky for real.

  • I want her in the video ?????

  • The song is so true ,,when her skin was close to mine i could feel .......our heart beat now she is no longer here n,,,so ,,,,,,,, i have to do ...

  • Not only i miss these guys ,,i also miss her whom i died fro and she kept on dancing and taking drugs now she is gone and i still look for her ,,even though ..how i miss those times and her and want one just like her ,,to do it all for her

  • If I can't make you love me, just tell me WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO to forget about you.

  • i love this song from the movie "MasterMinds". it opens with this song.

  • @ladyamerias HOLY SHIT! That's how I 1st heard this song and I fell in love with it.

  • @ladyamerias I know how you feel. I first heard this on the Masterminds trailer in the opening presentations for my Anaconda VHS.

  • I fucking love these guys...missem..they should either get back together or make more music...I dont' think I've heard anything new by them in a really long ass time....

  • We saw them back in 97 or 98 when they played warmup for Depeche Mode. This guy said, "Depeche Mode should be opening for us. This sucks that we have to play before such a crap band." Then they proceeded to suck.

  • does that keyboard at 2:35 sound like the keyboard from that nin song?

  • @007IrishLad It reminds me of Terrible Lie.

  • @007IrishLad sounds like "terrible lie"

  • I forgot all about these guys...great song!

  • 80's and 90's music FUCKING ruled!!!!!These guys should have been bigger, they just didn't fit into the NIN mold, and didn't really fit any others.I suppose they were kind of on their own.I guess that's why they didn't last, because the record company didn't support them enough.Just my observation,BTW,I love NIN.

  • @ghostscantkill they had some pretty good success man, a lot of their stuff ended up on tv and in huge movies.. now how many fans they attracted in the process could be another story.. songs like these are jems just waiting to be rediscovered..

  • I miss Stabbing Westward, but I can't say that I miss the 90's. XD One of the coolest videos ever, love the colors.

  • Running her over is one way of forgetting about her. XD

  • i dont really care much for "the dreaming" i perfer stabbing westward

  • Yep

  • the 90s were the last great age...always be my favorite time

  • one of my old time favs from back in junior high !

  • dude u got a badass band with many fans.. fuck this dumb broad your sessing over and move onto something much more fly.

  • I remember my brother's friend didn't like this song so he tried to get it banned from playing again lol Ah, I feel like a 90's kid again...

  • I'll take goth over emo any day. Anger is better than depression.

  • I think this is a very underrated band.....

  • An anthem for many men ...

  • Miss the 90's? LOL i miss the things that made music special ie talent, skill, creativity, ect. Can't say im seeing as much of that in todays music.

  • @sef3gen dig deep into the rock scene, its still there amongst the unknowns
