Hey MD, Thanks for the review! Question... How did you get the "old" user interface on the Boxee Box? I thought it came with that new hideous UI that was lacking certain features like Pics... Is it coming with this one now? (I use it on a mac so I have the downloaded (Old UI) version)
Also, How smooth does it play streaming videos? Does it drop frames? you said the streaming wasn't very good, what do you mean specifically?
@tk421808 The Boxee Box came with this UI, though it has since been updated. I most likely said that streaming videos online wasn't very good, though I haven't done much streaming locally over the network, to be honest.
@MarrkDaviid Thank for the fast response! So do you still have the Boxee Box? If so, what UI are you on now, the new one? Also would you mind trying to stream a video in Youtube and/or Vimeo in 720 and 1080 and let me (and all others who might red this :) how it does? Thanks, Kevin
@tk421808 I still have the Boxee Box, though it is boxed away somewhere. It has the latest update applied, and has no issues streaming Full HD from websites such as YouTube, due to the Intel Atom processor.
@MarrkDaviid Thanks again for the info. I just went out and and bought one a couple days ago. I'm happy to report all the fullscreen Hi-Def streaming Videos play flawlessly. I recently sold a Revo R3700 NetTop HTPC (Also with an Intel Atom processor - Dual Core 1.8 and NVidia ION Vid Processor) because it could not handle HD video of any type from any source (Youtube/Hulu etc.) It would stutter horribly despite updating all the drivers (Flash 11+, etc.) The BoxeeBox rules so far. :)
i am using iomega home media network hard drive it is connected to my dsl wireless router i stream videos to any laptop(wifi). i want to know that can i stream movies from my network HD to apple tv
@omkartikhe3 To my knowledge, you can only stream from a computer running iTunes. There may be some way to add the media to iTunes though, if the network drive is being shared with the computer.
Not bad video, but I rather us McTivia over Apple TV or Boxee. Mctivia you can connect 8 mac or windoes computers to your TV. With a wireless connection on all 8 computers, both laptop or desktop computers. Plus you can get complete internet access with Mctivia.
Can u watch regular tv? Or do I still need cable?

i think the boxee box would be great to watch ripped blu rays as my apple tv is unable to play a ripped 30gb mkv with ATVFlash black

@teamUno12 Cool, I have never heard of the McTivia before, however have seen a similar product by Pinnacle and Elgato.
