  • do less push ups and more leg squats, thats a lot of weight up there in your torso for your legs to be lifting up that high.

  • i know that i have no proof (yet) and that it doesnt really matter, but i'm 5'7, 140 and im squeezing. Grabbing rim isn't hard anymore but dunking still kind of is because i jump off my right leg which makes me use my left hand to dunk. I'ma post vids when i can windmill LOL

  • Im in the same boat as that whatismyname guy. I touch 9'10 now after 2 months of jumping when I was at 9'4 before. I do all the above you have said for 2 weeks now as I joined a gym and it really helps, these are great exercises. Explosive step ups and jumping down from a 30cm box into a vertical leap is very useful for leg power. I hope to be at 10 foot by the end of next month hopefully. Great hops for you as well, well done.

  • @Injomniac you won't dunk till u get taller man. sorry... i know people are like you can do anything if u put ur mind to it but that's like saying a 5 7 guy can get to the nba. I know there are but it's extremely unlikely.

  • man its good very good jump 4 real, but i can do what u did from under the basket jus take a step or two and i can do it easily. well if u consider im 6,3.5 ft tall and got huge ass hands and im a freak athletically meanin naturally. ( did 100 meter sprint in 10.8sec ) probably i can do it even faster but havnt tried.

  • NIce vert, but you gotta throw in a dunk or it's nothing special. I'm 14, 35" vert, and I can do this. I assume you're older too, so you've gotta do something more special.

  • Work your legs by doing a explosive jumping around 3 times a week. Set goals like touching backboard, then rim, then 2 hand grab, then dunk, so on.

  • - jump!

    - get stronger (squat/deadlift)

    - practise your technique

    - decrease % of bodyfat

    - as you get stronger, try some dynamic exercises

  • @junior90210 Try jumping with ur chest pointing up (towards the sky) instead of out. It will help u get a couple inches higher

  • u got hops...u know adding weight like ankle weights just makes ur ankles and calves more accesable for cramps and spreints. all u need is ur body weight for resistance, if u wanna use weights den do so but not ankle weights...i increased my v-jump by bout 4 inches in bout 2 days..

  • ehhh I tried Air Alert. Wasn't for me. I downloaded the VJB, read it, and made my own program. I got 3 inches in the first month, and 2 in the second, so I'm set. My best jump so far is 34", but on average I jump about 32"

  • Nah, it's not sad. When you're jump is already in the high twenties without any weight training, Air Alert won't do shit for you. I started squats, while still doing plyos on the side.

  • I did few dunks in my life on regular 10' rim. Then my vert was about 37 1/2' (currently 36'). Now my goal is to reach 38' due to proper weight training (increase in my max squat) and extreme fat loss (below 7% bodyfat).
