Nice run! I've got the exact same model and year, only with a cold-air intake and bolt-on exhaust. I had my buddy in his mostly stock 2003 GTI chase me down our street the other day, and it was neck-and-neck, he never moved an inch in my rear-view.
@pinkfloyd4241 Huh that is strange. How many miles does it have on it? My friend had a mazda 6 2003 and his can run about 6.6-6.9 seconds in the 0-60, about the same as in this vid. In manual you should be able to do better than 7 secs.
Nicely done on the manual shift points. Some talk online about 'shift lag' in the M3 and M6 manual shift gates, but if you hit shift at the proper RPMs, as you did, its very quick and precise.
Pretty good! I used to have an automatic WRX and that's about what my car did stock (I'm thinking of getting either a 6 or a speed6 next summer, can't decide which one yet).
@parsley0120 i know haha i got lucky, the car used to be my grandfather's, he leased it for four years. during that time, he drove about 4,400 miles. we bought the car from mazda at the end of the lease for $9,400 in 2009, and the car was essentially brand new.
@coolerdude44 Wow that is lucky! A lady that I work with has this car and I'd love to drive it. It has a lot more power than my little Subaru haha And some other person on here said that you spun the tires when shifitng into second... Don't the autos in these usually bang into second gear when you shift it manually?
Do you down shift when coming to a complete stop?

Mine is an 05 and it gets way better acceleration. I have a sports model automatic stock. It gets up and going pretty fast.

Your car has really low miles for being a 2004.

I definetely think you underrated the 0-60 claim. Im repeatedly timing 6.8sec 0-60. Anyway, good run :)
