  • Does someone know answer to this?? HElp me! How does a scorpion survie in the desert? Under the hot conditions? ANimals like scorpions? Does it shed it's exoskelton? Excrete dilute urine? How?

  • @Msholyangel17 makes corkscrew shaped burrows underground which reduces the temperature massively.

  • Crimen Sollicitationis

  • Don't mess with animals you know nothing about, good advice

  • Wonder what would happen if the snake bit you right on the penis

  • Er, bark scorpions seldom need medical attention, unless there is an allergic reaction to them. Their sting is very painful, and it will leave your fingers numb for a few days, but unless you're allergic, there is nothing to fear. Also, any Crotalus atrox (Diamond back) bite is potentially fatal, even from a small one. They have some serious toxins in their venom, an invenomation could require quite a lot of anti venom, since Crofab (type of anti venom) doesn't work too well, so more is needed.

  • swear to go this guy is the most fake survival actor ever

  • @rabit1233 ray teaches british special forces survival techniques, how is that fake

  • @robswift008 yeah he looks like hes really special forces

  • @robswift008 He needs to teach them how to keep muslims fanatics from taking over England.

  • I have tried a few "Bizarre" things.

    MMMMM so good.

I get them from my petstore. ^^ i tell them to depoison them.

    Its soo good.

  • damn nature you scary!!

  • ive been bit by a black widow, i catch them in jars and stuff like that, fuck it hurt

  • "you dont feel good" hahaha

  • If stung by the Arizona bark scorpion, the Arizona poison control centers suggest immediate medical attention only in the event of extreme pain or stings involving children.

  • anyone know how i can remove scorpions from my house in the village?

  • @zerar get Deo spray and a lightener

  • It's this world amazing!? life under every rock.

  • i live in new mexico and had a scorpion the same looking, as this one in my kitchen the other day. I don't know what kind if was, but it was pretty amazing

  • if he got bit by tht scorpion in bout 5 mins he is practicaly dead

  • he says that if he were to get stung he would stay calm, but when it drops, a good distance from his feet, he freaks out.

  • so if a scorpion stings you you just stay calm and try to get help, hein. Let me tell you, a guy got stung in his thumb and he died months after of liver and heart arrest. and he was himself a doctor, he went to thailand for fun, went to a village, slept in one of those mud huts and was awaken by the stung of the scorpion. game over for him. so, if a scorpion stings u, u are finished

  • Ray Mears was thinking about eating that snake, I know it. What's the deal with rattlers anyway? The rattle I mean, I'm sure this has been described to me as the snakes way of warning you to get the fuck out. It makes sense but for one thing, why don't all snakes have this function?

  • I am so lost.

  • Babe snakes carry the same poision toxicsiaty as the adults

  • When I lived in Arizona, I spent two months hiking across the desert from Alpine down the Blue to the Gila and into NM. Saw plenty of rattlers and scorpions including the Bark. Went behind a bush once to relieve myself when one just about crawled across my sandalled foot. They are very territorial and sleeping in an old stable on night in the darkness I saw a movement, when I flashed my light at it it was a Bark crossing my sleeping bag. Evidently I laid out in it's hunting ground.

  • howdy mate im a wonderin if you could show how to skin a squirrel thanks

  • im thinking the corp beast wud take em both..

  • Fancy droppin it,then sayin"you shouldnt mess about with them" dick!

  • im so glad that in my country we only have one snake with poison, ufff and its rare...cool

  • ray mears is the worlds biggest legend

  • Is that in Arizona?

  • ok i got o say to the people who say man vs wilds a fake cuz hes wth his crew ray is always with other people too helping him and stuff

  • If it's a big snake?? That's a diamondback friend. They are lethal at birth..not just when they are big. Video is blurry mate.

  • Actually the Western Diamond back is almost never lethal to an adult. Maybe to a child. Usually just make you sick as hell and the extremity that was bitten will swell up so big the doctors will have to make relief cuts in your skin to keep it from tearing. Without early administering of antivenin, you will prob wish you were dead.

  • fried scorpions are DELICIOUS!

  • hahah thats funny like a venomous scorpion and he like drops it lol

  • Hes a fake? wtf lawl. Drop this bastard "virtually" anywhere he would survive....for a while =].

  • He may be a Fake himself but the tactics he use will keep you alive if your ever stranded. in other words his video are still good to watch so you know how to survive if you have to.

  • Spiders, Snakes, and Scorpions... OH MY~!

  • Rattle snaked are some eatin boy !!!

  • your not kiddin! mmm...dangit now i'm hungry

  • are bark scorpions really dangerous?i heard they wer one of the more mild species of scorp and that ther sting just hurts alot, or does ther sting actually make you ill?

  • i guest

  • Bear Grylls is better in being disgusting :D

  • Bear Grylls is better

  • Bear Grylls is fake, look it up, he's a fraud.

  • what makes him a fraud?

  • Watch this one then tell me if he's not a fraud watch?v=3UpSlpvb1is ... LMAO

  • You do realize the second cliip was a setup? If it was a highway why would he be reversing? The second xlip is set up

  • Reversing? To emphasize it and you didn't realize that it's only a one continuous shot.... So how can you say that it's just a set up... VERY FUNNY LMAO

  • You mean the car is reversing maybe he is looking for a place to park better than the first one but you didn't realize that the other cars are moving forward too and it's a one continuous shot so it's far from being a set up or something... BEAR IS A POSER. FAKE!

  • *rolls about* I always thought he was a fake...

Like when he 'swam' across a lake and waited to 'dry off' despite that he had dry clothes, but wet skin and hair, and claimed he had no changes of clothing...

I always hated the way he jumps around too, all the while espousing how saving energy is so important... Or advocates doing stupid shit like climbing INTO a peat bog...

  • Comment removed

  • The videos of his "journeys" having taken place by the side of the highway in many areas in plain sight.

  • Fraud or not, do what he says and you survive

  • not true

  • what is?

  • let the two of them fight

  • BBC has the best videos, but wonder why the graffic sucks???

  • Some say that baby snakes, in this case a baby eastern diamond back rattle snake is potentially more dangerous then their adult counterparts. This is due to the fact they cannot control their venom glands/muscles that controls the amount of venom injected. Quite often baby snakes inject more venom then their parents.

  • I have heard the same. I myself dont care to test the matter. lol

  • Yes, that is true, often baby rattlesnakes are considered "deadlier" than the adults.

  • @alig72 It goes for most venomus snakes...

  • @alig72 i dont think they inject more but their venom is more toxic

  • @n64masta No offence but alig72 is right

  • @sevandor well actually now that i did some research i found out we are both wrong and baby snakes are not as dangerous as adults because their glands are alot smaller than adult snakes so babies injecting more venom is false

  • @n64masta You guys are not quite right a baby's snake poison is more venous then adults. my brother was bit by a diamond back rattle snake by Little Rock, Arkansas.

  • @MegaPyro21 listen that is incorrect information look at what mmmmmarcus said he is correct

  • @alig72 Actually, the babies can control their venom. They are programmed with that ability from day one. The real reason baby rattlers are dangerous, is because they do not have rattles yet, often it will just be a little button. Most rattlesnake bites are caused by this, since even more experienced hikers will assume a hole is safe, because they dont hear a rattle.

  • @alig72 Yeah, and the reason why the adult snakes need to learn to control their venom, is because it's hard to make them. If they just pour out their venom like running faucet, then they'll die. Not only does it weaken them, but it also prevents them from hunting again anytime soon.

  • it doesn't actually matter how big the snake is, they are born with the venom it may not be a dose that will kill a fully grown adult but a bite from a baby diamond back rattle snake can kill a small child

  • a bite from a baby rattler can easly kill a few men.

I've been bitten by a large one but it didnt puncture my boot and after looking at teh boot i found no venom on or near the bite marks! i was extreamly lucky. there was no warning before the strike, i was in dense brush and watching very carfully. it Just goes to show that nomatter yuo knowledge you can never be too carfull.

  • well it is very painful...

  • 1:11 and 1:12 u say camera crew guy

  • so...?

  • Rattlesnakes are pretty nasty, even if some of the other snakes have more powerful venom. If you get bit by one of those, it can causes necrosis of the tissue, meaning the area around the wound actually dies off. I met a guy who had been bit in the stomach; he had a hole in his stomach the size of a baseball.

Scorpions and blackwidow bites aren't nearly as bad. They're painful but not usually dangerous. You can get medical help, but they'll tell you to put on a cold compress and take advil.

  • Whats hilarious is that guy said if its a "BIG" snake well umm lets see it turns out the venom in smaller snakes is 2x more power full and is delivered in bigger douces because the younger ones have no idea that they should let go.....so dude in the video YOUR WRONG ...ps.not trying to be an asshole...

  • I heard a rumour that the Minnesota rattler is actually as venemous or more venemous than the diamond back. Can anyone provide confirmation?

  • Having dealt with praerie rattlers (diamondbacks included) all my life, I don't see any evidence of this. Snakes are generally lethargic and maybe ineffective in the cold seasons when they like to go to bed. Maybe if he was put down here in the summer we could find out by volunteer.

  • man i got stung by a yellow jacket last week man he had venom felt like a snake bite!

  • its in usa

  • where the fuck is that little area? diamondbacks?...scorpions?....black fuckin widdows?.

  • i wud of said usa cause i they have them snakes and black windows but it might be aus im not sure

  • lmao

    black windows

  • Welcome to Texas

  • LOL oDoc0.

Dare ya to pick up a tiger snake in the wild.

  • dare ya to smack a poisonous scorpion with ur bare hands lol

  • Ha! yea right, id rather pick up a chick. If you know what i mean...

  • Probably more dangerouse than any scorpion or snake out there 0Doc0 lol.

  • quite simple to avoid being bitten or stung really, dont hold them with f@*king twisers and stuff. Avoid animals in the wild.

  • He's an expert you twat, despite the fact he managed to drop the scorpion. But my point is if everyone just avoided these animals no-one would actually know what species to avoid and what to do if a certain one bites or stings you.

  • I know exactly who he is you "Twat".

  • Yeh and if its in an emergency and you happen to end up in a situation like that whats your plan? exactly you have no idea what to do.

  • Ummm... if it was an emergency why would i be picking up a dangerous animals?? wht? am i gunna kill myself quicker??

  • You might want to kill yourself quicker but what i meant was that it shows you what kind of areas these things live in and how dangerous they are.

  • To be honest i dont know why we are still arguing.

  • they are all venomless as they are planted around the area for tv purposes. if he got bit he would take a plaster out a first aid box then sit down with a beer

  • yes they probably are planted but if the snake bit you = dead

scorpion bites you = sit and drink a beer unless your in america cos those ones are deadly

  • great explaination of what will happen if a snake bites you

  • Nobody actually explained anything about that.

  • well ACTUALLY, at the end he does explain in short words what will happen if you get bitten by the snake they found.

  • The guys mentions a few effects of the bite of one particular species of snake. Not "what will happen if a snake bites you".

  • I had to pause this video at 12 seconds because i started to shit myself. Im scared, but im off to indochina this summer so i need to get over it.

  • bigger snakes i know from books and experience myself arent more dangerous than baby snakes a baby ratlerhas the same amount of venom but the little animal doesnt know what to dose per attack so the animal will dose all the venom in 1 bite that wouldt be more dangerous then a big rattlesnake who knows what to spend on 1 bite

  • the snakes are most dangerous in spring (maybe not in the dessert which has no spring)

  • A fully grown snake produces more venom than a baby snake does. it's the strenght of the venom, how venomous it is, that stays the same, not the amount.

It is only natural for a larger snake, who eats bigger prey, to inject more venom into it's prey than a smaller snake, who primarely feeds on insects and aracnoids.

  • i'm sorry i know its dumb but it has to be said.... not only is ray mears incredible, he is sosososo sexy. i must have him!!

  • I'd eat it, see how big that snake was?

  • I'm shocked to hear that you "don't feel good" after being bitten by a rattlesnake...

  • is it a measure of just how tough that guy is? i saw him in another show where he talks about his foot being bitten off by a komodo dragon and he said "it really smites"

  • so he's footless?

  • that is cool

  • good to know ;)

  • Nasty things...

  • Your face is nasty.
