A great British horror film, I've got this on DVD under the U.S. title, "Raw Meat".It's definitely one of my faves and quite different to the Hammer and Amicus films that were around at the same time, in that it deals with the controversial subject of cannibalism. The subject cropped up again in British horror a couple of years later (1974) in Pete Walker's cult classic "Frightmare".
I saw this film years ago. It was a very underrated, little known film of the early 70's and the plot was revamped recently in the film 'Creep'. Creep wasn't as good, to be honest.
When I saw this under-rated British film, I liked it. Like other '70's gems, Witchfinder General, the Wicker Man and Deep End, it deserves cult status. Maybe it's now got it. Sharon Gurney looks really fit, I wonder what happened to her? And yes, as has been said before, do mind the doors.
yes , sniffypigster, i agree, being somewhat of an underground history buff and having spent many a dark night working down the tunnels of the central line in london , i could almost picture sharon gurney running about down there with hugh armstrong in hot pursuit, this film is far superior to creep or any genre related tube movie based on the london underground, it reminds us of the days when stations and platforms and trains were immaculate and looked after, the soundtrack is very rare,
great film seen it when it came out in the early 70s now the proud owner of the dvd.yes one of many great british classics also staring christopher lee..
Classic movie. I like films that feature the London Underground, there's always something a bit creepy & mysterious going on. The music is cool also with a bizarre & twisted touch.
Unfortunately they don't make films like this anymore.

I love these credits. Don't know why. Very British feel to it. Gary Sherman is great!

They don't make good British fright flicks like this anymore, of course 28 Days Later comes close!

True, but they did make Creep which completely ripped this off.
The director of Creep claims that he'd never even heard of Deathline...the lying git!
