  • From the day I first played this stage and wondered why I couldn't choose Zero, wondered what had happened, I got chills.

    ...Still do.

  • The feelings of both hope & despair well-wrapped together into one beautiful track.

  • People keep forgetting that this game has 3 difficulty levels to choose from in the options menu. If you think the first 2 difficulties are too easy, than play it on the hard mode .

  • THIS IS MY OPINION -------------- NO SCREW YOU, THIS IS MY OPINION

  • Was this the only song that was changed in the soundtrack?

  • @mrguy891 why a bad game ? I think it was a challenger game

  • @TheMaverickGS A lot of people chalk up the challenge to poor level design, and they're fairly right in saying so.

    Gate's Laboratory 1, anyone?

  • This bad game's music is still awesome!

  • no matter what many people say, X6 IS THE BEST of the X series in terms of gameplay and music!

  • @steg140 but not the best in terms of difficulty, seriously, even for a mega man game, this one's pretty punishing.

  • @lightninstriker10 talking about this aspect, I found X6 easy in some sessions and bosses but really hard in other moments (the second Gate's stage or Heatnix's one for example), but in the end, in my opinion, this game has everything you should expect from a megaman game: great fun, great ost and a good difficulty level that ensures a stimulating gameplay

  • @steg140 but all mega man games have their easy and hard areas, this one takes both a notch above the norm, that's what I mean.

  • @lightninstriker10 ah ok now I get what you mean..I guess you're right! tnx for the comments, cheers

  • @steg140 It really was but it kinda lacked in story and level design unfortunately.

  • @steg140 the level design is completely horrid, and X5 was supposed to be the last in the X series, Inafune didn't even want X6 to be made

  • @Chrono355 I know, but it does't mean that in the end X6 was not a good game...

  • @steg140 level design is what makes the game good or bad, so if the level design is bad, especially in a mega man game, the game is bad by default

  • @598bryce The original doesn't have that guitar rift like at 0:26

  • @Sx2Kirby oh i just dont see how that makes such a big difference though

  • @Sx2Kirby but then this one would be the orrigional cause it has that rift in the game at least in the collection version but i think its in the orrigional game

  • Out of all of them this one sounds the best nice work!

  • Mega Man X6 was crazy hard, but it had a few of the best music tracks in the series.

Blaze Heatnix, Blizzard Wolfang, Infinity Mijinion aka Final Countdown Mark 2 :-p, Commander Yammark, Gate stage theme, Gate fight theme, and Sigma Second Form fight theme, and of course this track, which is sheer thematic brilliance - I would count all of these in my top 20 and most of them in the top 10 of X themes.

  • 3 people were replaced by the nightmare

  • In retrospect, this song really does set the tone of the game right off the bat: depressing.

  • Never have I raged while playing a game the way I did trying to get through this PoS. However, having a sweet intro stage song is an X-series staple and at least they got that right.

Even if a bit depressing sounding. And man is this so much better with that guitar riff.

  • @gaspump Oh come on. The game wasn't that bad...

  • @davidthefrogman Heh... you did play the other FUN ones, right?

X6 was not supposed to be a thing at all... it retcons too much, and it's frustratingly difficult. X7 and X8 were okay but... 1-5 just have this solid, contiguous feeling of the plot going according to plan. Then X6 came (less than a year after X5 was supposed to end things) and threw it to the wolves.

  • @gaspump Yes, I've played X-X8 thank you very much. I like all almost equally. Yes, even X7 holds a special place in my heart.

  • @davidthefrogman X7 holds a very special place in my trash can.

  • @Sx2Kirby Man, you people are just terrible... It wasn't the worst game ever and you know it. It was just terribly hard and a pain in the ass to play...

  • @davidthefrogman It had mediocre music, bad controls, a bad story that made X look like more of a pansy, added a mediocre character, had unmemorable levels and lame bosses. Hell, you didn't even get to play as X, the title character, until you rescued like 60 of those stupid reploids. It's like Metroid Other M, a total disservice to the loyal fanbase of 10+ years.

  • @davidthefrogman

Well I can say that I'm quite a fan of megaman series.(except battle network, I don't like it) But I couldn't even start on 8 bosses. The opening stage and system is not fun at all. The spinoff game like Megaman Xtreme or Megaman i-v in GB could make me replay again and again, but not X7. It's extremely boring.

  • @Sx2Kirby LOL! FUCKING HILARIOUS!!!

  • this game is not as good as the others and probably shouldnt been made, but it has FUCKING AMAZING MUSIC!

  • Rainy Fartloid

    Blizzard Wolfag

    Ground Scarabitch

    Metal Shark Gayer

    those bosses I do remember....

  • @MrSureyoucan you forgot Blaze Heatdix

  • @MrSureyoucan xD.

  • the guitar riff is perfect for this song!

i remember getting this after beating x5 i was just awestruck cause zero was pressumed dead and this music totally fitted the stage

  • x4 > x > x5 > x2 > x6 > x3 > x8 > x7

  • @JocJav i just bought the x7... then i see this.

  • @dreamspy93 lol but i need x9 :(

  • where i can find this song??? please tell me!!!

  • @ReymanxD You can Donwload from Filsh.net

    Cut-Paste the Video Link......Donwload.... Enjoy ^^

Sorry for my bad enlgish u_u

  • A very fitting music for a post apocalyptic city stage.

  • this song is polemic i love it

  • i can see X composing this song at the crash site

  • In Megaman Zero, the roles get reversed D:

  • 3 people got x-busted

  • I think this song represents how the world is affected by the sigma virus and shows the sadness of zero being gone(at least for the moment).

  • i rember i couldnt think of what song this was in i would like flip out because its my fav song in all the X's

  • 3 people DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY'RE FIGHTING FORRRRRR!!!!!!!

  • @TonyBMan Now its 4 people... sad

  • @MrRyoIshikawa That fourth person must be Sigma, and he doesn't seem to complete.

  • That Guitar riff adds so much to this song.

  • 3 people do not have an X-buster

  • Zero doesn't actually know exactly how he was saved, he doesn't know who repaired him. He didn't repair himself, he just says that for some reason. a loop hole i guess. There's hints it could've been whats-his-name, the reploid that looks kind of like Dr.Wily. He seems to be obsessed with Zero anyway. Also, when talking to Dr. Light a couple of times, doesn't Dr.Light say to Zero "Your recovery was a miraculous one, though I don't know who repaired you" or something like that.

  • From 1...to Megaman x6 was Awesome!

    ...The others...ewwww xd

  • @bloodyblade95 x8 was ok, x7 was just not good (axl steals the spotlight, the 3d system isn't that good, x is annoying, voice actors don't sound too good, etc.)

  • What's the difference between the overseas and the original version?

  • @MegaZZ69 theres the guitar rift in the overseas version at 0:25 and 0:45

  • EPIC SONG FOR A EPIC GAME

  • Keiji Inafume is not the creator of megaman. He just known as the artist for megaman NOT A CREATOR. And he's the idiot for wanting Capcom games to be Westernized (ex: Devil May Cry/DmC from NInja Theory)

  • @KrayzieBuddha he is the idiot for Twilight may cry?...SOMEONE KILL HIM!

  • @snakefh lol Keiji quit Capcom because he was stressing out, mainly because of DmC. Now, everyone from the capcom unity forum feels bad for him. But I dont.

  • @KrayzieBuddha Most people prefer Zero anyways...atleast over here.....and Keiji did make Zero..... He's also only half an artist for Megaman....

  • @Mitzuharu lol seems that way

  • This game was incredible the hardest boss in the game was Gate in my opnion he is the hardest boss I ever fought.

  • Those two riffs, just those two, make the song so much more epic and melancholy.

  • Damn, how could they leave out the guitar? It fits so well with the whole wasteland intro.

  • i loved X6, even though by the time it was released i considered X5 as the definitive series finale.

  • READY!!!

  • I dont know why ppl hated on X6 when i was little i loved 6 almost as much as 4 and 5. Some plz tell me why ppl didnt like this one that much

  • @yemster13 PART I: I don't know about the rest, but this is what I think: I admit X6 has good music. However, Keiji Inafume(Megaman's creator) planned to end the X series with X5, also during those days he joined Inticreates(Keiji was still part of Capcom) to make Megaman Zero, and then Capcom announces X6(The company never told Keiji anything about this) and the plot at the X series got "twisted" so in order to "fix it" they needed X7 and X8(Inafume only got a "Special Thanks" at credits) ...

  • @exeaxess yeah i can see how the plot is twisted, like the whole jacob project probably wasn't neccessary, i mean who needs an elevator to the moon when in x4 you clearly see space ships in the background of the colonal stage as well as the existence of eurasia( i mean making a space colony should be harder than bringing supplies to the moon)but even with all the nonsense i still liked x8

  • @yemster13 PART II: (resuming what i was saying) for me X6 was Capcom's attempt to exploit the Megaman franchise, and there's also the point of Zero being immortal, Zero's popularity is higher than X's, but bringing him back like they did on X6 just killed Zero's dignity(for me).I don't remember when nor where, but I read an article when they asked Inafume about X6, of course he was really angry, but I still remember one of his answers, he said: When I want a dead Zero, I want a dead Zero!

  • @exeaxess Do you know what would happen if X6, X7 and X8 never existed? X would have been the villain in Megaman Zero instead of Copy X, which was one of the reasons why I was reluctant to collect Megaman Zero when it first came out, I hated the idea of X being the villain.

  • @LightStreak567 naw man if those wouldnt exist X would just keep slashing mavericks with zero's saber thats all! why would he be a villian?!

  • @Lordiori13 I have no idea why! It's just a trivia statement that I read when I looked up Mega Man Zero in the MMKB (Mega Man Knowledge Base) I'm just glad we'll never know if it is true, otherwise I'll never lay my hands on the Zero series ever!

  • @LightStreak567 Well maybe its true if u read it in MMBK, they wouldnt hide the truth, anyways why u would you not get your hands on mmz series, u won't like if X 'd be a villian?

  • @Lordiori13 Yeah, even though Zero is a little more popular than X, I can't stand to play a game with either one of them as the antagonist.

  • @yemster13 i liked it, but theres some noticable balance issues which is why i still think it doesn't beat its predeccesors. most bosses were way too easy and sigma himself was easy . the character all have this lets just get sigma out of the way attitude and it sort of annoys me a bit. like when you beat sigma he says something like i'll come back and x(or zero) just says "just die already" or "we don't have time for you". it made sigma feel unsignificant. the good parts were gate and the music

  • The sound track in x6 is the best in all the megaman X episodes. It was awesome

  • The sound track in x6 is the best in all the megaman X episodes

  • megaman has the best voice in this game

  • @lepeXeneize X*

  • Groovy

  • I understand the complaints here is justifiied but still this is capcom we are talking about and they are always about the money. Capcom is a video game company and because of this, they going to make products that is guaranteed to make them money. We won't see Mega Man Legends, Darkstalkers and even a final Fight sequel anytime soon because they don't make that much money. The key word is money guys.

  • X6 is where the legacy ended.

    Everything after that was crap.

  • MegaMan X6 is my least favorite X game, but is my favorite soundtrack throughout the entire X series.

  • ¿Donde encuentro todo el soundtrack?

Me refiero a esta version :3

  • this is a hot song... just a slight guitar riff makes a big difference

  • ALGUIEN KIERE K LE DIGA LA CLAVE DE ULTIMATE ARMOR PARA PC DIME KIEN

  • While I'm not a fan of X4 and beyond, there were some exceptional music tracks in each of the X games in the series, and this one's no exception. This particular piece of music caught my attention immediately, and I just HAD to download it.

While I thought the gameplay was an abomination (I enjoy difficulty, even to excess, but this game just screamed "I WAS RUSHED" all over it), this song and several others, notably Blizzard Wolfang's theme, were fucking kickass.

  • @Virgilx711 Yeah I agree... It's when they started getting into x7 when it just lost it's platforming elements though there was a few. I would have liked it if they had stopped at X5 and start the Zero series but then Zero wouldn't have been the main character. So it's a blessing and a curse. The music was amazing in x6 and my personal favoirte x game song is Infinity Mjinion.

  • Perfect theme for X's great return, the battlefield in ruins, and your friend has died.....

  • This song is so epic!

    sounds apocaliptic!

and youll better ready to fight...

  • Great Song!

  • Anyone have a tab for the guitar riff?i love that tune so much <.<

  • Dark and sinister, work's perfectly in the intro of X6 which look's like a wasteland.

  • sniff sniff *

  • so sad

  • Amazing.

  • Im trying to remake this on FL Studio its so hard. I cant replicate the bass and some of the sounds.

  • This is my favorite beat from the x series without a doubt. Thanks for posting this up!!

  • from which album is this song? because the Capcom Music Generation - Rockman X1~X6 has this song, but without the guitar riff O:

  • @xayaxxo Note that this is a Rockman X soundtrack, not Megaman X. Unfortunately, they only sell this album in Japan. There's no Megaman X soundtrack album. So pretty much Megaman X soundtracks can be found in fansites, official websites, and on youtube.

  • @xayaxxo

I think it's listed with that OST on MegaMan Network...

But it's hidden as a track!

  • @xayaxxo Its a game rip by alramm3 i think its not actually in the x series soundtrack at all

  • I feel like buying the game again just for the hell of it

  • Good ol' intro stages!

  • this music is so relaxing

  • Mega Man X Has an awesome soundtrack!

  • sigh, so many downers against the later x games... even if the games arent 'cannon' in truth, if you look past the 'ruined scripts' or the transitions to 3d, i promise you have excelent games to play. sure, it bugs me too that capcom messed with Inafune's greatness, but that doesn't mean we have to shun all the non cannon games. 23 years old and i still, buy any and all MM games that come into existence. and i don't give a damn about small stuff, i just enjoy the game...

  • ...The games are still regarded as canon. Inafune himself altered his Zero timeline to take into account X6, and nothing in X7 or X8 contradicted anything in the zero series.

  • well, then its all the more a reason not to hate the games! and as i said before, they ALL are great games in their own right. dissing a game because you dont think it should have been made? well, i guess all gamers are entitled to their opinion, but i just dont get it...

  • Uh, I never said any of that. The only one that I'm not fond of is X7, but even that had a few good songs. X6 is one of my favorites, despite how deeply flawed it is it is also somewhat brilliant in other regards. X8 is good, but I feel it could have benefited from some water and ladders and better level design and more "solid" gameplay as opposed to the kind of transient and airy style it has.

  • um, i wasnt refering to you when i wrote this, i was just refering to megaman gamers in a 'vaguely' general sense. i actually agree with you. while a little screwy, the games are great. i admit, my opinion of them might be a little higher than yours, but eh... details...

  • You replied to me and said "you", and the first part of the statement was at least somewhat relevant to if not completely a response to mine, so confusion was pretty much expected to occur~

  • @Erghest

well, i am sorry if you felt i was talking against you, i didnt mean to sound like that. as i said, i agree with you in alot of ways. so, like i said, sorry for that.

  • mmx6 the best and last for the 2D

  • the best dam heroes there ever will be zero is my number one favorite legendary hero hub two megaman exe battle network real heroes great games these two haves.

  • I played this,i found it interesting. The music is awesome so is the gameplay. But fuck some of the levels were hard.

  • a very very epic sound track..... "a new beginning with x and beside of x is zero in every battle [because of the Z saber]" I think that was the song means for me.....

  • According to the storyline, Zero wasn't killed at the end of X5, but badly damaged.

Zero says he repaired himself but it's believed that someone else repaired him.

Probably the same way Dr. Light mysteriously repaired X.

Zero is unlockable in X6 once you defeat High Max and the Zero Nightmare.

The easiest way to do that is use Ultimate Armor X cause he has an infinte Giga Attack.

  • @tanookinuri actually to get zero you just need to find the access to the backstage via a teleporter thing (its hidden somewhere but everystage has it). the thing looks like a blue veil of light. after entering the light and making your way to the boss encouter the purple zero and once you beat him you get the cutscene with zero and zero becomes available.

  • lol look at his face...

  • That guitar riff just hits the spot with this soundtrack.

  • I agree with BishounenNerd, I heared that you could unlock Zero, but I stopped playing the MMX games at 6, didnt bother with 7 or eight.

  • im lisening to this all day

    way too chill-_-

  • X6 was epic, X8 was cool because you can also play as the navigators, but X6 is the best in X series

  • I agree with X6 being the best. Wish I would've gotten off the X train after X6 though. Now I think they're just dragging it on. D:

  • chida la misica de megaman x6 jeje agregame si adios

  • nice song

x6 is my favorite megaman game its challenging and fun

    5/5

  • memories!!

  • hey, can i have this oversea version? =D <3 is the one i love more, more than the other one

  • I have no idea why just why a mere guitar riff can make this opening song so............sexy!

  • Man, I gotta find this version of the song. By the way, X6 is freaking awesome. Some may say it's bad compared to others but it still pwns. Best music out of the entire X series. Favorite X game as well. (Yes I have played and beat all of the X games. I'm not here to argue, just stating an opinion)

  • Meh, they just say it's bad because they think it's too hard >:S

  • They say it's bad because it ruins the story. The series planner was unaware of this title, and had planned to end it at X5.

  • *SPOILER ALERT*

Yeah, at the end of X5, Zero dies, and X gets his Z Sabre. All throughout the series, they mention a final battle that takes place between Zero and X, and that happens in X5. But Zero sacrifices himself to save X.

However, the ghost of Dr. Light manages to fuse his arm with that of the Z Sabre, so in a way, Zero is now a part of X.

However, Capcom, as usual, brings him back and makes his sacrifice seem petty. No offense to Zero fans but X5 was his time to die. Let him R.I.P.

  • I just disregard X6 and X7's existence. Zero's presence in X8 could be the cause of psychological trauma on X.. him not actually being there.

  • Haha yeah I wish it were that easy.

  • Why does Zero die a lot? xD

  • Well, I think it's because his fans or maybe Capcom regrets killing him off each time they decide to. First it was Megaman X where they decided he should sacrifice himself to save X, but then in X2 you could collect his parts and bring him back. Then, in X3, he COULD die, but that wasn't the story Capcom decided to go with. Then, in X5, he was supposed to die yet again, but then Capcom pulls out the LAMEST excuse for why he didn't. "Oh, I was just hiding." Suuuuure...

  • Lmao...how can he repair himself when he's dead?

  • @BishounenNerd "He was Just Hiding"

Actully capcom made this game on their own accord not made by Infuane. So because of this he had to work around this error. Despite not actually being made by Infuane it is still adopted as megaman x6 which is why the series continued. If X6 hadn't been made there would be no megaman x7 and x8, the series would have just ended at x6.

  • @ProfessorBellom And I just spewed a bunch of stupid bullcrap... I apologize for that..,

  • @ProfessorBellom

"If X6 hadn't been made there would be no megaman x7 and x8, the series would have just ended at x6."

Personally, that would've been fine with me. I thought X1-3 were amazing, and 4 was... well, decent, but not great, particularly when compared to the older games. As a standalone platform game it's not bad, but in a franchise as groundbreaking (at least on the NES) as Megaman, it just didn't hold up.

Anything past X4 was barely playable, though I do like the music somewhat.

  • @BishounenNerd it's to get stupid fanboys to buy their shitty games. capcom pulled millions with the lame x series storyline, and fanboys are kissing capcom's ass and sucking their dicks.

heck, i bet capcom could make a fucking teletubbies game and label the game name "Megaman X 9" and the fanboys would say what a great fucking job capcom did.

  • @BlooReaction dude you make yourself look worse by going onto a video about the thing your ranting about and being a dick. youre not gonna make anyone feel any worse or do anything except... well making yourself look like an asshole

  • @BishounenNerd

In X3, Zero doesn't die at all. I believe that he took major damage before giving X his saber, but didn't actually die.

  • @BishounenNerd well you gotta remeber this the creator of X6 was not the same who made X5 the new one thought to just make another one i forgot the names

  • @BishounenNerd ....I know, but I think it's more about the fued between Dr. Light and Dr. Wily...

  • When did that stuff about the arm happened?

I'm pretty sure it didn't, as there's no z-saber arm, Zero carries it in that thing on his back. In X6 X is just using the sword, just like anyone else could have, if they found it.

  • It was one of the endings of Megaman X5 (Yes, it had multiple endings), and apparently the one Capcom decided to use. In fact, in the series of still photos that make up the ending, you can see the ghost of Dr. Light gazing over the body of X, lying unconscious. It was then that he "equipped" X with the sword of the late Zero. (It's been a while since I saw that ending, so my memory is a little fuzzy.)

You're right about him carrying the sword on his back, though, I'll give you that much.

  • @BishounenNerd yeah the happy reunion in x6 just felt weird. x5's ending was sad but it felt complete and that made the ending great, then x6: what? zero you still alive? zero: yeah i was just repairing myself in hiding, sorry i made you worried... -_-

  • X6 has many good themes but was too hard some parts are simply insane. Keiji Inafune the creator of the serie didnt liked this game O.o. Well this ruined the continuity of the serie.

  • I got a chance to play and beat all but X7, so what does that say about me o0? (Not trying to argue) I thought X7 ruined the X Series because of the whole transitioning to 3D screwed it over?

  • Well i have played all megaman games, and i still like them all. But i wonder what story inafune would have made if it really would have ended in x5. Cause the story in the Zero series changed because of x6 to x8.

  • Oh right, right, I remember now. Isn't Zero's ending in X6 the one that is connected to Mega Man Zero?(Well now anyway). I'm sure the story the change too much, just enough to accompany the introduction of the series, I know I could do something like that I made a series and it got screwed over for production of its older brother, if I can surely he could and already did. Either way the series was great regardless.

  • @Angelzvx i remember being happy to get x7. but now looking back x7 wsan't really good. the wall jump feels a bit weird( like the dash wall jump feels like you kick out too much and you don't go higher) and also x has a really bad attitude and is missing half of the game. zero's voice sounds funny. the sudden introduction of axl feels weird. not sure if the plot made sense( whole plot about copy chips and axl if i remember correctly)

  • @go555ace I posted that a year ago...

Remember a few factors, Capcom's not the best when it comes to VA's for their MegaMan Games, the only ones I can recall having great VA's before X7 was the Legend's series. Then they tried to transition a series that was known for being in 2D on a 3D plane, it doesn't always work or at least the first time around. Capcom didn't even bother to refine their methods and went for a 2.5D game with X8. There's more i could say in their defense, but I don't care.

  • @Angelzvx tru, i stopped playing at x6....the 3d thing killed it

  • @TonyBMan If you still have a PS2, give X8 a chance. It's 2.5D, meaning 3D Graphics yes, but on a 2D Plane like you once knew. Ride Armors return, X and Zero are there from the start. Armor can be used the moment you get a Part. For those who feel X Series must have Rock, theres plenty of it there in X8, the voice actors are much better too and the return of Vile after his disappearance for so long (He should had been in X5 somewhere). I'm not saying to make it your favorite MMX game, a chance.

  • @Angelzvx Oh yes, and X8's OST ROCKS!!

  • D: ppl saying that x8 and x6 are good games? I'm sure that they never played a megaman before x6 u_u sigh....

  • Nahh X8 isn't awesome. it's cool but not awesome. X7 just wasn't good. X6 was awesome. So were 4 & 5. And let's not forget 1, 2 & 3! :D

  • @MastaGambit X6 was not awesome. It was HORRIBLE.

Truly horrible stage design, crappy story rewrite.

I mean, the series really ended in 5.

Inafune wanted a different "Megaman" for the X series. He was going to be red, even. Capcom didn't want that, too different. So X was "created" and the "Red megaman" was redesigned into Zero. (Zero wasn't going to be the new Megaman)

Zero's deaths were actually part of the story, not Capcom trying to kill him off. His death in X5 gives way to MMZ.

  • @MastaGambit note that after megaman x5, inafune did not direct the rest of the series.

  • @MastaGambit yeah for-real something about x6's music and aswell as x5's was just indescribly awesome ya know

  • @MastaGambit

I find that funny, as X6, X7, X8, and Command Mission weren't supposed to exist. The series only continues because Capcom went behind Inafune's back and made X6 without his permission.

  • @TheAzureKnighthood HAHAAAH, CONNECTIONS ABRAOD
