If you want a heli that has way better quality and incredible flying precision that you'll barely believe, get a Hirobo SRB Quark and you'll never look at this flimsy chinese fly a dozen times then junk crap again. The Quark is $360 but after experience with junk like this, you'll know it's worth every penny !!
Please don't let's get off topic here. We're not talking about some 3D heli requiring months of practice to fly properly. Hey, my Exceed G2 is still beyond my flying capability, and I've got lots of hours.
The Blade mCX is unbeatable for a perfectly stable, worry-free toy heli. It lacks anything like 3D capability, but it flies so easily that anybody can fly it. That's the point.
cx2 is easier to control and suffers less blade induced turbulence due to higher weight. the flip side is that the result of crashing the CX2 is much more adverse due to stiffer blades that can crack. i just bought a cx2 and its stable and flies well. the nice thing is that it has an AC adaptor charger. CG is easily affected in the CX2 due to higher mass of battery pack. CX2 can be flown outside too in very light wind. both a real fun though.
I've never owned an rc vehicle of any type. I bought this so we could screw around in my office. I posted a video reponse of my experience. It is definitely a fun toy. I've NEVER flown before and I was able to maneuver this quite well after about 2 battery charges.
i broke the inner shaft on my mcx. replaced it with a new one and now the heli is hard to control and even after trimming it, its drifts to the left. any ideas??
check the rod coming off the servo. on my cx2 i can adjust it and not have to use up trim. if the rod is the same as mine just loosen or tighten it to stop the drift.
I tried the Esky Mini-Dauphin before getting an mCX. No comparison. The mCX flies like a champ, right out of the box. I made no changes to it whatsoever. Just bound it to my DX7 and started flying around the living room. This durn thing is so stable I can have a sandwich while it sits there. Great.
The best $100 I ever spent in R/C equipment. No kidding, guys. Get a couple of spare batteries right away, because you'll be using them.
I mean, you'll be using batteries quickly. It takes well over an hour to let the battery cool off and then recharge it, so if you have multiple batteries (I have five) then you can fly more and wait less. It's worth it.
Get as many batteries as your wife will allow. You need to let the battery cool for a half hour or so, then it takes a half hour to charge it. Less use and lower temperature means longer battery life, so I try not to run mine down to the flashing light.
This is my first RC anything, right out of the box i had the throttle set to high (accident) crashed it into the cieling and freaked out haha. Still works great!
I'm glad this thing is ultra durable, also if you press down on the right stick on supplied controller flying is easier.
Recommended for anyone looking to have fun out of the box.

Mine broke within two days. Total bummer.

I would say this Heli is more for younger kids. Doesn't give you what the Novus series would. Fast movements, and 3D tricks.
But okay Heli overall.
Kinda sucks about the batteries.
