I heard that wolves are much smarter than dogs, but they're impossible to teach. Do you think that this hybrid is smarter than other domesticated dogs? If so, could you provide examples of their intelligence? They certainly look good.
Wolves are very catlike in that if it benefits them to listen to you, they might, but they're essentially going to do what they want to do. Wolf hybrids are a gamble because there's no guarantee on behavior. Hybrid A acts completely different from Hybrid B who acts completely different from Hybrid C. A lot is dependent on whether they're a high content hybrid or not.

We had a boy and a girl, the boy was a malamute mix and was an absolute sweetheart, until food was involved. At which point we would have to separate them and and he would often growl at just about anything getting near him. Course right after he would come into the living room begging for attention and to play. They're the smartest dog IMO mostly due to their keen memory. Ours had figured out how to open most doors by their 2nd year.
People should understand the "Alpha, Beta, Omega" thing before they get a wolf doggie. Once they understand that... then they should be fine. If you don't know what I'm talking about then buy a Poodle.

Not special, just educated. Question was "you WOULDN'T RECOMMEND them as pets". No bad dogs, just bad owners. Guess I am special. Because I took the time to learn, train and socialize Lakota. As a result she had a very fruitful life.
These are magnificent creatures. While not for everyone, if you are willing to invest the time and patience it takes to properly raise them. They will take you on an amazing journey.

She was a low mid % , mostly Malamute.
People don't realize that northern breed dogs will have Wolflike behavior to an extent.
No breed is aggressive. People make dogs aggressive.

I have a siberian husky/timber wolf mix, and he is the exact OPPOSITE of this!
He is one of the sweetest dogs you could ever meet! and he gets along with the other dog, a chow/beagle mix, extremely well.
