This was always my favorite ride at the park and am just as sad to see it go. I have recreated this on NoLimits Rollercoaster Simulator which has an in-game camera feature. If it is okay with you I would like to recreate this footage on the simulator and put it to the song Memory. This is the best tribute of the best ride ever to grace this earth. I really hope they dont tear down Viper at Magic Mountain
yesterday i was so sad when i was in the line i held onto the que railing as if i was holding its hand and when i was sitting in the final breaks the last time i rode it i had my arms around the harnesses i was hugging it i said goodbye and blew it a kiss (of course everybody was lookin at me like "wtf is that kid doin" and the hardest thing ive ever done was walk through the exit for the last time
thats so sad. Now they know how the people feel when the steel phantom left. RIP 4ever The Steel Phantom..............................Syke coming back to Kennywood 2012.
I'm very sadden by this news of the Great American Scream Machine closing for good. The scream machine was the reason i started loving roller coasters! In 1989 i had never seen a roller coaster so big and tall and twisted and bright red back then, shining in the sun. I was hooked on roller coasters. Yes it has aged badly, but it will always be my first love of roller coasters!!!
I'm so happy I was able to ride it one last time yesterday before it rained... I actually smiled for the camera for the first [and last] time! Haha. It was completely smooth in the front row until I smiled for the picture, got distracted and didn't see the next turn, and then it banged the side of my head REALLY badly. Haha, but hey, shakiness or not, I'm still really going to miss it.
RIP scream machine :(
also, did you take all of the footage on this video?
Video make me tear :( and remind me old Corkscrew (alton towers) remove in 2008 it my first coasters :( make me to collection all coaster video before too late remove it

All I know is that the new ride better be worth removing this classic-after all once it's torn down great adventure's skyline will never be the same.
R.I.P. Great American Scream Machine you will be missed!

@37hedwig yeah, I did. At first I was going to find a POV, but I wanted to make sure it was all my footage.
