  • u rnot supposed to feed ferrets any kind of meat they will become meat eaters if u feed them meat n they will probably take bites off of u good advice fo all of u ferret owners i own 3 ferrets n feed them ferret food so fuck u all n good nite

  • @bcstout1 U haven't a clue what you're talking about. Ferrets are carnvivores, it's as simple as that and the most appropriate and nutrionally beneficial food to feed an carnivore is meat. My ferrets have never bitten me and are well handled/socialised. Keep your ridiculous comments and bad language to your self if you've got nothing intelligent to say.

  • @oldblueeye yes ferrets eat rabbits. that's what most people feed them.

  • @bcstout1 .............i feel sorry for your ferrets and there poo must stink your obviously a ferret NooB!!! my ferrets eat raw meat. rabbits, rats, mice, chicken, turkey, ofal, mince. and i have no fear about letting my 4 year old or any of my other kids kiss them on the nose i think you need to go to ferret owners school before getting any more.

  • @bcstout1 STFU you dont know shit. i feel bad for your ferrets.

  • @DontKlickMyNameMr What's nasty about killing something for food, especially when that species is causing millions of pounds of damage to our farmers crops. I suggest you think about what typing in future BEFORE you type it !!

  • Nice to see ferrets eating there intended diet, my ferrets are fed nothing but raw and it shows when my kits are twice the size of my dads kits at 5 weeks old which are fed on webox and biscuits....... :(

  • Did u kill it and if u did how

  • @maliawilliams99 yes i did kill it by quickly breaking it neck and severing it's spinal cord

  • As much as this grossed me out, and as much as I would hate to kill a rabbit... it probably is healthier for them, and probably is much better for their skin (I know it dries out easily) and their fur then pellets.

  • CONGRATS MAN! those ferrets are beutiful!!! o like ferrets so much, and to watch them eating meat this fresh makes me like'em een more, they look so beutiful eating, what they're supposed to...

    cheers!

  • Did you kill the bunny yourself? I hope it was done humanely :( I was wondering, can you feed ferrets roadkill if you don't want to kill an animal? (I couldn't bring myself to I love them too much :(

  • @Guncraft I suppose you could, if you're sure the roadkill is fresh and doesn't contain any bacteria or parasites that wouldbe harmful to the ferrets. You could always meat from the butchers for them..mine love chicken carcasses from the butcher.

  • @Guncraft think id rather by some cheap turkey or chicken.. cheap minced meat.. any raw meat that isnt pork (pork has alot of salt usually).... 1 day old chicks.. the same you feed a hawk are also good for them once every 2-3 weeks.. it flushes them out.. not alot of nutrients in them though so not suitable for every day feeding

  • how did u find a dead rabbit?

  • @YuMiMiSsDuMpInGs It wasn't dead when it was caught.

  • If it does gross u out a bit, then feed them a good quality ferret dry food like Vitalin or Supreme science selective. They contain 40% protein and meat content and plenty of omega and vitamins. They should still be given fresh meat atleast 3-4 times a week. Eggs are also good for them and organs like liver!

  • circle of life people !

  • why are you feeding those ferrets meat they can become mean

  • @breyerhi That is conpletely untrue, all my ferrets are as gentle as any and are feed meat from the the very start.

  • @oldblueeye oh really i diden't know that i should feed my ferret that then thx

  • I know raw meat is their natural food, but I think I rather stick with cooked meat. O.O its so less messy. And I dont really want to wash blood stains off my carpet or their faces XD. But keep up the good work on the natural diet thing! I bet they love it :)

  • @LovingLadyNature thankyou for your comments, I'd just like to point out though that by cooking their meat it destroys a lot of the essentials vitamins they need in their diet.

  • @oldblueeye Yea i know :(. But at least its better then dry ferret food from the pet store.

  • @oldblueeye Yea I know :(. But its better then the dry ferret food at the pet store. And I dont cook it all the way, its a rare meat. sometimes medium rare.

  • Why are so many people offended at the sight of carnivores eating meat? Some animals eat animals. It's how things are. It's the reason rabbits have so many offspring. Most of them are going to be something else's dinner. Be against animal cruelty, sure, but there's nothing wrong with meat eating animals eating meat.

  • @alisachan I couldn't agree with you more. I just can't understand it all, people shout about me feeding meat to the ferrets but think it's perfectly ok to feed them a man made diet of additives and preservatives...who's been cruel !!!

    Thanks for your comments

  • @oldblueeye you feed them preservatives?

  • @TRSF1 NO !!!, but people that feed dry complete ferret foods do as they contain preservatives, additives and bulking agents, namely cereals...cereals in a carrnivores food !!!! why ??....I'll tell you why because it maximises the profit for the makers of the foods

  • I use to crack an egg for mine. She love raw eggs.

  • Dude feed them ferret food damn.. Not cat food..

  • I would just feed them cat food .

  • @TheJDMsamuraiwarrior Of course that's entirely your choice but as I've stated in previous replies to people, I'd rather feed a diet that isn't full of additives preservatives and bulking agents..I think more about my ferrets than to do that to them.

  • i should do that im gonna start

  • is it healthy for them?

  • @catperson10 Yes, it's the most natural, perfectly balanced nutritional diet they can eat. Try doing a search and reading what their closest relatives the European Polecat eats. Just look at a ferrets teeth they have evolved for eating prey items.

  • @oldblueeye Oh that's nothing, one of mine ate a giant palmetto bug.

  • It surprise & scares me a little. I didn't know that ferret's food are raw meat.

Everyone has a choice of a pet their own

It might eat my pet rabbit!. =)

  • i thought that was the mama ferret

  • o i voted dislike i thought they killed the rabit or something nvm LIKE

  • om om om om om

  • is that a squrral or rabbit?

cuteso baby ferretscan start eatng meat at 5weeks old?

  • @SuperJenny123456 It's a rabbit. They'll actually start eating meat from a much earlier age basically from the time their first teeth start to emerge

  • I know its nature but it is kinda gross. I didnt know theyd be eating a rabbit when i clicked this

  • @savannahsmom1985 I can see why some may think that, but I just see it as providing my ferrets with the best diet available for them. I wasn't aiming to shock/upset anyone but merely provide a source of dietry advice for ferret owners

  • are they carnivores?...

  • @kidlat1974 Yes, they are

  • As ignorant as I am to raising ferrets. I am comfortable with seeing them eat meat. The question I wish to ask is, what exactly is it they are feeding off of? Because I see fur...what animal is that?

  • @drunkenneko A Rabbit

  • WTF ARE THEY EATING!!!!!!!!!!

  • @DarkTmeplar1312 Why the WTF ????, what a great way to get someone to answer your question (NOT)

  • Comment removed

  • @Aurorawolf9 What ?

  • Ferrets are carnivores and you do indeed give them meat. I wish I could give my ferret meat but as a college kid, the bagged food and hard boiled eggs are what I can afford. She isn't complaining.

  • #

    ahhmazingful

i think your retarded, i hunt rabbits with my ferret every sunday. i cant see carnivores eating lettuce, RETARD

  • i feel sorry for every ferret which doesn't get raw meat from their owners. they are made for eating meat. about the chicken.i cut off some bones for my little boy and he loves it. he does enjoy fresh meat and bones.that's just ferrets and you can't change it because you think it's disgusting or for any other reason.

  • @misskarolinawu Well said

  • @oldblueeye thanks :]

  • OMG WHAT ARE YOU FEEDING THEM??! YOU DON'T FEED FERRETS MEAT. WTF? they arent freaking cannibals.

  • @ahhmazingful Actually, Ferrets are carnivores and do eat meat

  • @oldblueeye Don't reply to the idiot, let him soak in stupidity. We cannot save him or her. that person has lost control of their life.

I say us Ferret owners rejoice in a letting our ferrets grow up to be big and strong.

    and adventurous too!

  • @newdoom3 Lol, At last someone sensible.

  • @newdoom3 OKAY,FIRST,I AM A LADY. GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT.

and i have NOT lost control of my life. you had the stupidity to actually reply to my thing. i have been raising ferrets for 20 years. i actually DO feed my ferrets meat. so suck on that shi*

  • @ahhmazingful

Gave us girls a bad name going durp on me like that..

  • @ahhmazingful if they were cannibals they'd be eating another ferret, not a rabbit

  • @ahhmazingful yes, they are not cannibals. you are right about that. but they are carnivores ;]

  • @ahhmazingful wtf than u dont kno anything bout ferrets the eat only meat u would kill them if u gave them vegys duhh

  • @ahhmazingful They arent cannibals but they have to eat raw meat... read and learn

  • @spicefaerie58 ah I see, You could feed chicken tenders occasionally as an added treat or as part of their overall diet but they need both flesh and bone in their diet. The only thing that's left after a the ferrets have finished with the rabbit carcass is a tiny bit of fur.

  • @spicefaerie58 what are tenders ?

  • WTF are you feeding them!?!??!?!

  • Rabbit? o.o

I thought they were eating strawberries.

  • what there eating looks like a groundhog

  • ferrets can also eat meat how do u think they survive in the wild they were not always house pets

  • A tad gross but they are seriously adorable. ^.^

  • If you guys actually research it, experts say feeding baby ferrets actual meet is best, because of the protein and i can't wait until my kits are 5 weeks old XD

  • What the shit seriously ew.Baby ferrets aren't cute any more :p

  • Seriously guys! I feed my ferrets left over chicken and that's just the same as feeding it a rabbit..So STOP giving horrible comments.Owners can feed their animals what ever they want within reason.Like a snake owner wouldn't feed a snake a vegetable,it doesn't make sense and they wouldn't feed a snake a veg or fruit because of your'e comments so quite commenting if you have nothing decent to say!

  • wtf are they eating?

  • what is it eating?????????????????????

  • lol so use to the ferrets eating their ferret food its hard to think of them eating raw meat xD its kinda funny to watch them eat the rabbit, like little stinky lions xP

  • are these kits off their mother at this point?

  • @jayhughesy No, the mother enters the shot 43 seconds into the video and joins in on the carcass, she's the one that does the "chattering" as she enters.

  • OH MY GOD WHY AND WAT IS IT EATING!

  • AWWW ITS A RABBIT THATS SO SAD :'(

  • what are they eating it looks like a mouse

  • @lillybug510 Lol, that's the biggest Mouse I've ever seen. It's a rabbit.

  • Is there any ferrets in the UK if u know tell me cuz I might get one

  • @thewiitry Yes there's thousands of ferrets in the UK. I myself live in the UK

  • @thewiitry Theres many ferrets n the Uk, sometimes breeders are hard to find if you live about midway up the country. I got my Jill off my dad this weekend and my mum is getting a hob off a friend of mine, the Jill is being spayed though.

  • @thewiitry search the internet for breeders and/or rescue centres

  • Don't listen to any of the ignorant fools who like to voice an opinion about something they know nothing about. The raw diet is the best diet a ferret can be on. When people say that ferrets are meat eaters, they are wrong. Ferrets are obligate carnivores. This is different than being just a meat eater. In the wild ferrets are like hyenas, they eat every part of an animal that they can chew. If not a raw diet the second best is Wysong brand ferret food.

  • @MaritimeEast yes but theses are DOMESTICATED animals not wild beast bleh.

  • @iLikePieShowZ It doesn't matter. Being domesticated is a state of mind. It does nothing to change what a ferret is, what family of animal it comes from or what it eats. For the longest time people just fed ferrets what was easy and seemed to work, kitten and cat food. Just because something seems to work doesn't mean it's whats best. There are now better foods on the market for ferrets but a natural diet is still best.

  • oh wow I didnt need to see that but the ferrets are ADORABLE!

  • wow and they eat it too thats cool lmao ive never seen anyone feed ferrets a "natural" meal and they stay healthy and are just fine eating the meat and all that?

and do you know if you switch from pet store food to this would it upset anything about them?thanks

  • @eieio261 Yeah they are perfectly fine and healthy, If you decide to feed raw meat then just introduce it gradually to avoid any risks of upsetting their digestive systems, but generally they cope perfectly fine with the change and definitely appreciate it.

  • @eieio261 wow thats insane. thanks for the reply:)

  • All the retards thinking that this is wrong should get with the program.

Animals like this are supposed to eat things like this because it's the food chain.

Stop being babies and learn that the world is like this and will never stop unless you want things to screw up.

  • bleh...slightly grodey. But the ferrets are cute! :]..I've never been one for fresh meat, but maybe its something i should try..if i could stomache it XD...cute little guppers :]

  • Any ideas how I should catch the animal and feed my ferret?

  • @Gearsofwarfun1 I shoot or catch them with my ferrets and nets or dogs. You can buy chciken wings, chicken carcasses, beef mince etc which are all good sources of food

  • @oldblueeye Thanks. :D

  • WHAT THE FUCK ARE THEY EATING?! I have a ferret and shes 6 months old,and I will never let her eat that ugly red shit. Thats dsgusting,Go to the pet store and get them treats and dry food, like dogs and cats. My ferret Spaz loves that food and the treats we give her...this is just sickening.

  • @Lollipopgirl96 Ferrets have been used as hunting animals in Europe for centuries...they eat meat...I fed my ferret store bought food but I'm pretty sure her personal preference would be for meet.

  • @joshhurst47 I know they were used at Hunters,But I still think this is disgustinggggg. and ive taken my ferret to the vet to ask questions about her to see if she can eat meant, and the vets said "no they cannot"

  • @Lollipopgirl96 Nothing personal but I'd try switiching vets, or getting another vets opinion, as ferrets are deffinatly carnivors and they can eat meat, and what your vet is telling you is wrong, and I'd be worried what else they were telling you that was incorrect.

  • @Lollipopgirl96 You are showing the same ignorance as others about ferrets dietry requirements "that ugly red shit" as you call it is just fresh meat free from the harmful additives, preservatives and cereal that you feed in the complete food. Your attitude stinks, criticising others for feeding their ferrets a fresh natural diet...what's wrong with you ???

  • @oldblueeye I dont give a damn if im showing ignorance I could care less what you have to say, this is disgusting. I know they were hunters,But ive asked many veternarines and animal doctors and shit like that if they eat meat,They say No. I think this is disturbing. and whats wrong with me,I saw this disgusting video.

  • @Lollipopgirl96 Sorry but if you're seriously expecting me to believe ANY vet said ferrets don't eat meat then you're sadly mistaken. You carry on feeding a cocktail of additives and preservatives that makes your ferret drink more water and it's shit look like brown slop. I'll stick to feeding to feeding them a more natural diet that they meets their dietry requirements far better.

  • @oldblueeye actually raw meat harbors many diseases and viruses so it is healthier to feed them not raw meat...

  • @maxymumcool Would you be so kind as to name the many diseases and viruses that fresh raw meat contains that are harmful to ferrets !!...Their cousin the wild european polecat seems to manage perfectly well without man made foods

  • @Lollipopgirl96

Ferrets are actually CARNIVORES. That means they are meant to eat meat, and ONLY meat. The carb content in pet food kibble is actually worse for them. Their bodies aren't meant to handle crap like phosphorus additives, carbohydrates, and vegetables. Therefore, ANY kibble that you will be able to find is not suggested since the kibble-making process REQUIRES carbs to hold it together...bitch.

  • I love it!!! Thank you so much for posting this :) I have people ask if baby ferrets can actually eat raw- this is the perfect video to refer them to, lol!

  • @sinneadfert Glad you'll find it useful.

  • the dark one is the cutest

  • @grokor yes I liked that one a lot as well

  • @person558x WHY ??????

  • for feeding them eggs... do you feed them a raw egg or cooked one? and if cooked how? Thanks :P

  • @somerandomhunter I feed them raw eggs, I justbreak a tiny hole in the egg shell and put it in the cage, it then alsokeeps their minds active and entertained as they figure out how to get into the shell to get to the egg.

  • what r te eatin

  • wtf were they eaten O_O

  • @Eleufun A rabbit, for more info please read the other comments below

  • i have ferrets and take them hunting, whatever they catch they eat easy as that, like it should be. its good for them and they always have fun x x good for you x x x x x x x x my ferret just had her frist littler so cute only 2 weeks old x when should i give them some rabbit do you think? i'm thinking 3 weeks but not sure

  • @mechellevegeta You could actually give them rabbit sooner, they'll actually suck at it before they've even got teeth.

  • cool i dont think its nasty i have Ferrets to

  • what is that there eating a rabbit

  • @cpsurferboy12352 Yes it is. if you read others comments below it says where it came from and why I feed them rabbits

  • i like this vid i understand that it's healthy for them but i still feel bad for the bunny *little sad face* :<

  • thanks i did not know meat and egg is good for them i'll for sure give my ferret some thanks for the info

  • @Alcapone8307 Don't feed them eggs every day, just a couple times of week is sufficient.

  • Hi! I have a ferret of my own, and I would like to feed him more natural stuff such as rabbit and so on...

Do you kill the rabbit yourself? (coz if so... I cannot do it :s)

  • @Weura I do kill the rabbit myself but you can buy rabbits from the butchers shop. Chicken and chicken wings are also a good thing to feed them.

  • @oldblueeye oh nice! :D

    That's easier :D

    Thanks :D:D:D

  • wtf why would u let a ferret eat a cute baby bunny thats just nasty

  • @blakers0445 you are a ingnorant pig. Firstly it wasn't a "cute baby bunny" it was a full grown adult, secondly whole rabbits are one of the most natural, nutritionally balanced things you can feed. So thankyou again for showing everyone just how little you know about ferret welfare..you fool.

  • @oldblueeye shut up i rekon it is nasrty i dont give ma ferret dat ewwwww

  • @69serb69 It's not nasty it's an extremely natural diet for ferrets to eat. I suppose you feed dry complete food ???..........now thats nasty !!

  • how many times do you feed your ferrets a rabbit a month mine get one once every week just wondering if you could recomend a better feeding pattern they also have an egg once a week and biscuits in between.

  • @jadlian123 Rabbit is the main part of their diet so they get it at least four times a week. I also feed them pigeon, chicken, Pheasant and occasinally II'll also give them an egg

  • @oldblueeye ok thanks for the advise much appreciated

  • how would i get my ferret to eat raw meat, or any kind of meat, she just smells it & walks away, help?

  • i did not know that they eat those

  • @NikkiLoveTM Yes rabbits are part of thier natural diet as are chickens, rats, mice, birds eggs. In fact their close cousin the polecats name is derived from the french "poule chat" or in english "chicken cat"

  • omg!!! thats awful!!!

  • @Takorycoden What is awful ????

  • @oldblueeye what they are eating!! how could you eat a bunny!!!

  • @Takorycoden It may seem awful to you but rabbits are actually the most natural thing for ferrets to eat as in the wild rabbits would be one of the ferrets natural prey items....I can't see the ferrets complaining, can you ?

  • @oldblueeye lol no they seem happy. but i never knew that is what they eat. and they are soo cute. thats why it is awful. but yeah circle of life. :P

  • Also eating human

  • @Username0rPassword What are you talking about ????

  • @oldblueeye Nothing just joke -.-''

  • were did u get the rabbit

  • @USMCrape12 From a field

  • @oldblueeye makes sence

  • Ewwwww what r they eating!!! :O

  • we feed Fritz rabbit as well its there natural food ..they r soooo cute great video hanks 4 uploading it =D

  • I know this might sound weird but. did they eat that rabbit on their own? I mean did they open the carcase by them selves or did you do it?

  • @Froastwolf Not a weird at all. I opened the rabbit up to remove it's internal organs before freezing it to ensure any parasites are killed off. I then defrost it fully and feed it to them. At that age they were eating a full rabbit every day beween them.

  • r they suppose 2 eat that

  • @MrBrezzy1234 Yes, of course they are. In the wild rabbits would be one of their natural prey.

  • @oldblueeye Ehm... There is a small change they would hunt a rabbit.. mice, frogs, birds.

  • @patrick10001 Very true, they also eat birds eggs when they find them.

  • what r they eating?

  • My babies love to eat chicks xD

  • @2009Ubuntu I catch my own rabbits from the wild.

  • Carnivorous animals deserve meat, this is great to see. I get so tired of people who wont feed animals, which are known meat eaters, anything close to a natural diet including real raw meat. The amount of junk the pet food industry puts in food is disgusting.Nowadays people are even trying to turn their pets into vegetarians and refuse them meat products. Good for you for feeding meat, and ignore the criticism, there will always be people who wont agree. Good luck to you! :)
